The original plan and measurements didn't work out - as I went home and remeasured. John made the right suggestion and upgraded me to the right safe. I'm very happy o took the advice of the salesman. Plenty to choose from but he listened and found the right product for my needs. After a little adjustment to the scheduled delivery which they accommodated to my schedule- came the install. Coral and David- very professional. Offered to wear booties and PPE gear if needed and the installation and bolt down was very nicely done. I ordered a Fort Knox Protector through their website site thinking I was getting a pretty good deal. Kirill, the sales manager later canceled my order and didn't honor their price online. He didn't attempt to make it right and pretty much told me tough luck. He didn't respond to my emails either asking for an explanation. I really wanted to do business with them, but not to thrilled with their customer service. I have a five foot tall Brahma safe that was in the house when we bought it six years ago. I would estimate the safe's age at ten to fifteen years. I had the dial changed to a push button lock just after I bought the house about five years ago. The change was done by The Safe Keeper (Las Vegas) and I was very happy with the result. I had them out a few years later when I was having trouble with the locking bars, again a good result. Yesterday I was again having trouble this time with the "wheel" slipping on the shaft and not unlocking the safe. I called The Safe Keeper and discussed the problem but the person I spoke with could only suggest a battery change and when that didn't help, trying to push the door in simultaneously with turning the wheel. My door did not seem to have any slack and the door push didn't work. They were nice enough to refer me to a company that could "break into" the safe and after the door was opened whatever the problem was could be addressed. Last night I tried the opposite of pushing the door in, namely pulling the wheel out while trying to turn it after the unlock click; IT WORKED! With the door open I could wipe the rods with a cloth I sprayed with a little WD40 to both clean the rods and lightly lubricate them. With the door open I was able to easily lock and unlock the door; the rods moved easily. Today I called The Safe Keeper again and this time spoke with Kirill. He was beyond helpful. He explained what the problem probably was, how it could be handled, what I could do to relieve any excessive pressure between the door retaining wedges inside the safe (I didn't even know they existed) and the engaging locking rods on the door. He spent thirty minutes on the phone with me explaining the safe mechanism, the locking rods, the set screw etc. He even explained what I should do if I had another common problem come up. His suggestion of adjusting the retaining wedges worked like a charm. This safe has never operated this well since I've owned it. I can't say enough positive things about Kirill and the way he worked to fix my problem. These days you don't find many people who care enough to take that much time to help someone who wasn't even buying anything. Thank you Kirill. read more

Kirill and the whole team at The Safe Keeper were so professional, kind, patient, and fantastic. I got ahold of Kirill on FB and he answered all of my questions about different types of safes, how the delivery and installation process occurs, and the best recommendation for the type of safe I should get. It took less than 4 days to get the safe installed on my 2nd floor and the two gentleman that delivered/installed were so professional. They wore booties inside the house and made sure do carefully move around the house so they wouldn't damage anything. After the installation, they even taught me how to use the safe, and to mail in the registration card. They were very pleasant and I was astounded at how quickly they moved this 500 lb safe. We've been wanting to get a home safe for a while now, but all the ones we saw at the big box stores looked cheap and were either too small or too big. We decided to check out The Safe Keeper since their Yelp ratings and reviews were excellent, have an online website where I could browse their inventory and get more info, and offered a good selection of home safes as well as safes of all sizes for other things. We drove to their Charleston store (they have two) and parked right in front in their large private lot. David greeted us right away when we entered...he was professional, very informative, super friendly, and helped us pick out a great safe! He explained the pluses and minuses of home safes, what we should look for and the special features that make some brands and stores inventories better than others, like electronic locks, fire rating and heavier gauge steel. Luckily we shopped when we did because they had a small selection of solid Browning home safes on sale. We settled on a 30" home safe for $500+ off..awesome deal (David actually did a double take when he saw the sale price because it wasn't that low yesterday)! He also mentioned they cover the safe and deliver it in an unmarked truck for a reasonable fee (considering the safe weighs about 300 pounds) and will provide the bolt kit and install it for free with an online review (sounds like an even better deal!). My main safe is around 3000 lbs empty. It takes true professionals that know what they are doing to move this mammoth. The crew is always on time. Very careful with what they are doing. And the price is more then fair. So if your serious about your belongings and want a REAL company to handle everything call the safe keepers. If your concerned about your neighbors seeing your stuff. I purchased a used safe on Craigslist. Not just any safe mind you. Oh no, I HAD to have the super high security 4000 lb bank safe ... especially at the dirt cheap price it was listed. Let me say that again - FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS. Two tons. About the same as a Toyota Highlander. 5 feet tall, 4 feet wide, and about 35 inches deep. I spent several days calling around to places to get it moved. No one wanted to touch this thing. Then I called The Safe Keeper. Don (the owner) agreed to do it for $800. More than I wanted to spend, because I'm a cheapskate. I finally agreed since no one else would take the job. I'M GLAD I DID!! Don and 3 of his guys picked it up from a warehouse near the strip, moved it to my home in Centennial. They used two pallet jacks, an assortment of wood blocks and chocks, and floor coverings. Four turns and one 36 inch wide doorway later, they had it placed EXACTLY where I wanted it. No scuffed walls. No indentations in the linoleum. No damage to persons or property whatsoever. Not a lot impresses me. (See my other reviews.) But these guys did. Folks, the whole crew were professional safe movers who worked seamlessly together. FIVE STARS. ALL THE WAY.
