I did not hire this company, they were hired by the HOA. The company sent a locksmith to my home based on bad notes they took on a work order. A locksmith was attempting to change or "check" my front door locks and we happened to catch it on camera and stop him. I had to leave work and miss out on money for this, as well as being given quite the scare. After police were involved, it was noted that the notes on the locksmiths work order said to check all locks at my address. It should have said check the neighborhood gate locks NEAR my address. The company refused to let me speak to a supervisor and refused to show me the work order. I called back today and was hung up on by Julie when I asked her how she'd feel had that happened to her. No apologies, no assistance. All I wanted was to know this wouldn't happen again, and was basically told to get lost despite having sent video evidence of this incident. Beware of this company as they take no accountability for their mistake that cost me a days work and scared the daylights out of my family. read more

Was having problems with an AMSEC safe that I purchased from another company in 2011, I don't like to call businesses so went to their site and emailed them from there, I was contacted by a service tech asking questions about the job, bounced a few questions, and gave me a high and a low price point that I thought was fair and told me to schedule an appointment if I wanted them to come out, I am a procrastinator which often handicaps me, when I called they scheduled me sooner than I thought that they could, they gave me an afternoon appt at my request, Kelly the safe tech called when he was on his way, successfully got me into my safe and repaired my safe, like I said I didn't purchase my safe from them but I couldn't imagine being treated more fairly if I had purchased it from them, Kelly was great, knowledgeable, he was very communicative about what his process was and why he was doing everything he did and gave me a rundown of why and how my safe works, better than my original purchase experience from someone else I wouldn't hesitate purchasing a safe from A&B security, and I wouldn't hesitate referring them to a friend for a repair, I thought they were fairly priced and as transparent as I could imagine read more

Out of 6 local Locksmith companies I have been in contact with, this company stands above all the rest. First off, they are willing to price negotiate, and are flexible with homeowner's hours. I was having issues with my safe, and when I asked the gal in the office, if they have specs for a specific model and make - they were able to verify they have done work with that safe. They give you a quote over the phone and honor that! No hidden fees or other sneaky charges that a lot of the other companies I was calling were telling me. The technician (Ron) was extremely professional & VERY polite! He called before he came out to my home letting me know when he was on his way; then again as he was coming up my street! I must also state - Right at the time the technician came, it was my daughter's nap time, and he was very patient and understanding about letting me put her down! It's nice to have a service company who can be accommodating when little ones are in the picture! Simply for the wonderful experience, I would recommend these guys if you have any services needed. I was able to get a next day appointment which I was extremely happy about. My appointment time was 9am and he arrived at about 9:20am...way better than most places that give you a four hour window for arrival. He was fast and friendly. He said when I move he can come out and change the lock out again so I can take the new one with me and he would switch it out for no charge. Update: When I called to have this done, they said thats not true and would not honor this offer. The guy had written it on the back of the business card with the name and cell number but the company said he's no longer with the company and they couldn't help me. Wow! Got www.Alarm.com home security thru them earlier this year (I think April). - On June 22, 2015 I received a letter from them stating "as of July 1, 2015 guard response fees will reflect a charge of $52.00 per response." - So, it went from $0 to $52 for a guard response, this change completely caught me off guard. read more

Pretty disappointed with this company. I had new hardware and some rekeying done on April 22, 2016, the day before I moved into my home. In the last couple of days, less than 90 days later, I am finding that one of the deadbolts is actually loose and wobbly in the door. No bueno! So this morning I call them to see about having someone come out and take a look at what the problem is, and I'm informed that there will be a $90 service charge!! And that's just to come out - not to do anything! I find that rather absurd, excessive and unrealistic, considering this was THEIR work and it's less than three months since it was installed. Guess I'll need to start calling around for someone who is reasonably priced to look at it. Pity. read more

Called these guys in to transfer keycard programming system from old mgmt, to me (they were the ones who installed the system previously). The first red flag should've been their old version of the doors software needed to be ran in compatibility mode to even install on my windows7 laptop. But upon moving the database files over, their tech assured me things would just work after I buy a serial-usb cable. Unfortunately for me, I took his word for it. He then went on vacation for a week, while me having no ability to program the system spent my labor day putting myself at risk kicking homeless people out of the building. When their tech returned, I made an appointment for 9AM the next day. The guy didn't show, and instead called me (after I left a few messages), that'd he be an hour late at the earliest, and that he wouldn't even show unless I paid the prior bill (for a job which gave me non-functioning software). He kept insisting it'd be 2 separate jobs. He also insisted operating system incompatibility is my problem not his (despite admitting purchasing a windows xp computer is difficult). I've also called the manufacturer of the electronic lock system, who told me these guys gave me an old incompatible version of their software, and that I should I ask them to give me an updated windows7 compatible version, and that they won't provide it to end users directly. The tech said he'd talk to his supervisor and call me back, it's been an hour since then, I don't expect to hear back, unless it's to demand payment for an unfinished job. These positive reviews here are misleading. But most are probably for mechanical locks (which anyone with basic tools + half a brain can pull off). If you've got an electronic locking system, avoid these guys at all costs! Their rates are ridiculously high ($100/hour + tax when dealing with software). But more importantly they have no responsibility when it comes to finishing a job, just keep charging by the hour. The only reason they're even getting 1 star from me is because I can't give them -10 stars. read more

I'm a Realtor and part of our service to clients is to place a lockbox on the property to allow other agents to show the lisitng. A&B Security provided the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Here's why: 1. Sentrilock lockbox went dead, Sentrilock had A&B Security call me so that the locksmith can hand the defective unit to me. 2. I set a time for the locksmith to come to the property, but Julie from A&B Security informs me that they are not allowed to surrender the lockbox to agents. She tells me to call Sentrilock. 4. I get back on the phone with Sentrilock and they confirm that the lockbox can be returned to me.. After my phone call with Sentrilock, I get a voice mail from Julie, saying, they can now return the lockbox to me. 5. I asked if the locksmith can wait for me, she says no. She then asks if there is a bush somewhere where the lockbox could be placed. I said no. the only place is at the front door. 6. I arrive at the propety, no lockbox, Another call to Julie, she says the locksmith just left 10-15 minutes ago. 7. I asked her whats gonna happen, she basically says, I;m SOL. That was bad enough, I get in touch with Sentrilock again and they tell me. A&B Security is not, under any circumstance, allowed to leave locboxes unattended in any property. They are supposed to either take it with them, drop off the lockbox at the agents office or arrange to set-up a time for the agent to pick up the lockbox at their office. None if these options were offered by Julie, the only option she offered was where could we leave the lockbox? Under normal circumstances, I understand that it's possible that someone stole the lockbox. In this case, it's hughly unlikely. The property is in an upscale, gated community, which according to crimemapping.com had 1 report of public disturbance in the last 6 months. I don't buy Julie's story that someone must've taken the lockbox in the 15 minutes that passed between the locksmith leaving and me arriving. I think her incompetence and laziness got in the way of finding out what reaaly happened. Update: I spoke with Sentrilock, they made arrangements with GLVAR to provide me with a new lockbox. Their customer service departmenI also had a chance to converse with Julie and they told me they also received the same dismissive and condescending tone I got from Julie. I suggested to them to get rid of A&B Security. As Realtors, our clients trust us with their biggest asset, their home. We need to work with companies that will respect that relationship. A&B Security could care less about our livelihood, nor our clients security, privacy and property. I will relay this experience with the GLVAR officers and ask that they formally request Sentrolock not to hire A&B Security when dealing with outstanding members of the National Association of Realtors, Nevada Association of Realtors and Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. read more

wow excellent service! Had an issue with a lost key for 3 different locks. They came out free of charge to asses the situation the next day and gave me a such a great price. All the other companies wanted to charge me $65 just to come out then another $75 per lock plus an additional labor charge of $40 when they hadn't even seen what kind of lock it was. A&B came out for free to asses the situation before they started giving me crazy prices over the phone. Needless to say these locks were not that complicated and A&B did not have to charge me even close to what others were pricing me. I worked for a major retailer and had used several different locksmith companies in Las Vegas over 18 years. When we opened my last store we rekeyed the entire facility using A&B. They were quick and provided a lock system that cannot have keys copied anyplace else. This prevents anyone obtaining one of the keys and having it copied without our knowledge. When a key was needed, or service was necessary, A&B understood the needs of the business and would normally have a locksmith on site within a couple of hours. read more

We have had some hiccups along the way, but overall service has been very good and problems resolved until the cameras stopped working earlier this month (which was why we switched from our prior provider because they did not have home camera options). I called twice telling them i was interested in a home alarm system, and they said the person who deals with that wasn't in the office.
