Will update when issues are fixed. DO NOT use this company. On the evening of 9/5/18, their locksmith PHYSICALLY broke down our garage door (by throwing his shoulder and weight into the door) after he became frustrated. He refused to leave without payment and denied breaking the door jam. To date the company has refused to do anything to remedy. We are worse off for using this company. OMG, a complete rip-off. I asked for 4 locks to be re-keyed and the technician, who was constantly trying to upsell me, re-keyed 6 other locks I didn't ask for and doubled the costs. I had to pay him so he would leave my house. When I called the main office to get the issue addressed, they told me they would get back to me....still waiting. Taking advantage of customers that are in a tough spot is not good business. I needed some assistance and they had a tech out in a lityle over an hour. Great, then I was quoted nearly $200 for the service and the tech said it could be more. I told him I needed some help as I was in a tough spot so if he could do the job quicker could he offer a lower price. He said yes. He went to work and got my door open in less than 5 minutes. Then said it'd be $185... The service call was only around $40 so that means he charged an exorbitant hourly rate to do his work. I understand businesses need to make money but this was unacceptable and why I'll be calling someone else in the future if I'm every in this situation again. Never had to deal with a car locksmith until just recently. Like a total buffoon I ended up leaving my keys in my car during my lunch break. Keep in mind that this was just a few days prior to having them install/program a keyless entry remote for my car since it didn't come with the car when I bought it (used) and the dealership wanted to charge an appendage to install it (Brandon Dodge on Broadway). I spoke with Leah via email since she was the person I was given the quote from regarding the keyless remote. She emailed back lightning fast getting my information so that a car locksmith could contact me to schedule a good time to get my door opened. Spoke with Rick who was very kind and professional. We set up the appointment for 6pm since that's when I got off from work. In no time he had my door opened. He definitely knew what he was doing. Amir was the locksmith who installed/programmed my keyless entry that following weekend in my driveway. Took him about 20 minutes. All he needed was my key and proof that the car belonged to me and he was ready to go. Overall I want to thank Leah, Rick, and Amir for such exceptional service. The price was cheaper than other places i had called, so i decided to go with them. I am not too happy with the service i was provided though. When i called the dispatch had told me that i would have to order my fob key and that it would take about 4 days to arrive and that a technician would call me when it arrived to set up an appointment to have it programmed. After the initial call, dispatch kept calling me but were looking for someone by another name and with a different car. After correcting them, I was finally told that my key had arrived and that a tech would be able to come out the same day to program it. About 30 minutes before the scheduled time, dispatch called again and told me that there was no available technician and that they would have to reschedule for the next day. I understood and agreed to have them come the next morning. The next morning comes around and I get call from dispatch telling me that they were unable to come again because they did not have a key cutting machine ( I didn't need to have a key cut because my car uses a fob). Again i agreed to have them cut out the following Monday. When the technician arrives to meet me, he is very rude. He tells me the price is more than what i was originally quoted and is quick to get defensive when I tell him that wasn't what i was told by dispatch. He very snarkly replied "Dispatch does not know the exact price of jobs. You can either have us do it or you can go the dealership and have them charge a whole lot more." I agree to the price and he is able to program my key and also gave me a jump start. The technician takes my payment and rushes back to his truck. I stayed behind to make sure that it was properly activated and I notice that the buttons on the fob are not working. He sees me and noticed something is wrong but instead of coming back, he instead uses his finger to gesture that I walk over to his truck to explain what is wrong. After he googled what's wrong, he finally gets off of his truck and attempts to fix it. I will probably not be using this company again because of the lack of professionalism. I rather pay more money and have my time and myself be respected. Update: I would like to thank Jessica, who gave me a call to apologize about the situation and rectify. She was very helpful and apologetic about the experience I had in working with the company. She was very genuine. I'm not sure of her position in the company but she should be an example to all about customer service! I give her a five star review for sure! read more

I used them yesterday because I had to get new key on my condo unit and they were absolutely amazing! I sent them an email promptly at 2:00 and they called me within 2 minutes of me submitting that inquiry. They told me that they'd be at my place between 5 and 6 and they got there at 4:55 (I've never had anyone be early so that was SO shocking). Whenever the guy worked on replacing my lock - he was so polite, helpful and considerate. He explained everything that he was doing and was such a rockstar. I made an appointment and took time off of work to be available and no one showed up. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I waited 30-minutes before calling, in case there was traffic, fender-bender, whatever. The outgoing voicemail said "Our hours have changed for today and we are closed, please call back tomorrow." One would think if they had time to change the message that they would have time to call any existing appointments and reschedule them. The reviews seem to favor ad-hoc/on-call services and that may be true but I would not recommend them for scheduled appointments. read more

I took it to the dealer and they told me I was given the wrong keys. I tried contacting Mile high locksmith, they refuse to respond to me or the Better Business Bureau. They never got back with me. We purchased a new townhome, and the front door had a Schlage Sense smartlock -- it includes a keypad and a regular lock and key (just in case). The key had been lost. I called Mile High Locksmith. The dispatcher told me that the service call (to a nearby Denver address) would be $55; their web site says $29. He then stated that the lock is a bit complicated (the keyed part is not), and he would talk to someone and call me right back. I never received a return phone call. I then called Gustov at Alexius Denver's Locksmiths. He arrived in an hour and re-keyed the lock for a nominal charge. read more

Updating this review as I have worked through a resolution with the management of this company. We came to a mutually agreed upon solution, and I am happy with the process of that resolution as well as the outcome. Amir reached out to me to talk through the issues I encountered, and he explained what the normal expectations for the business and employees are, and the mission of the company. I explained the specific reasons I felt that I was wrongfully charged, provided email conversations proving I was incorrectly charged, and we talked through both sides very calmly. He was extremely friendly and authentic, and I genuinely believe in the values he upholds with his company based on our conversation. Obviously in my case these values were not originally reflected in my experience with my technician and my specific branch of mile high locksmith. After talking with Amir, I trust that he will follow up with the appropriate parties in order to correct the pricing issues in the future. Due to the respect and discussion with Amir, I have changed my rating from 1 star to 3, I don't feel comfortable increasing my rating any higher as I did have to endure a relatively unpleasant experience originally with my technician and with the Denver management of Mile High Locksmith and I don't think that should be overlooked. I am sad I had to resort to writing reviews on social media to get the attention of their HQ, rather than being able to deal with it with my original contact. We called Mile High to have a door lock rekeyed at our colleague's shop while my husband was there. The tech would not give my husband a price on the phone, and did not mention a trip charge or minimum. On arrival, the tech had no identification on himself or his truck, or any paperwork. He didn't rekey the lock, but installed a whole new lock and charged my husband $150.00, telling him the minimum was $100 and that he got a new commercial lock. 1) He wouldn't explain why a new lock was necessary and didn't OK this service with my husband. 2) The packaging clearly said "residential" rather than "commercial" and the tech took it and the old lock and hardware with him. 3) As he had no ID and Mile High was not on his truck or the receipt, my husband couldn't call anyone with questions. I called them two days later about this whole episode. Of course the tech had no Mile High ID, they said- he's a subcontractor. Two people argued with me at length about everything before admitting that they were dispatchers and couldn't make it right. They gave me contact information for claims. I sent a detailed email with a receipt three weeks ago and haven't heard from the company. Summary: No one was in charge. I'm glad others had good service- ours was bad. Using subcontractors who don't leave any contact information, and having dispatchers argue with customers instead of connecting to a manager: poor. Not responding to email: poor. But the worst was a tech doing a different service than requested, unwilling to explain why, and then charging a lot for a commercial lock when a residential lock was used. Use someone else with accountable employees instead of subcontractors. read more

Called Mile High and received a quote over the phone for my keys to be re-keyed. Scheduled an appointment because they seemed reasonably priced. Locksmith arrived and quoted me something much higher and included "labor" which was not spoke of during my original quote. Locksmith told me the quote was just a starting price. He then tried to barter with me on price. Extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone use their service. Not sure if the technician was affiliated with the company or was a contractor since he arrived in an unmarked van. read more

I called this morning and spoke with Tim at dispatch. He was very helpful in resolving my issue with the price discrepancy. He recommended I send an email to corporate (I did). Within ~20 minutes, Tim called back to let me know that I would be receiving a partial refund. I will only have to pay for their standard lockout fee. I am very satisfied with the companies attention to the matter and the professionalism with which it was handled. I would recommend this company in the future. I had a small keyed safe that I needed open to access some of my important documents for work on Monday. Of course I couldn't find my keys anywhere and it was 6pm on Sunday. I scheduled my appointment online (10% off) for 7pm. I didn't receive a call ~30 min before as listed on the site but after calling the toll free number and inquiring about my appointment, an employee called me back and gave me an accurate arrival time. It took him under 2 minutes to pick the lock on my safe. The bill was $120 for only a couple minutes of work (too high in my opinion) but it was great that they came to me and in such short notice. The man they sent was very polite and worked quickly. The price was steep but you can't beat the convenience and availability. read more

While I was out of town my cat sitter had my keys stolen. This company was willing to come out & worked with me to get the right identification to allow her to get in. That's the good part. Unfortunately they claimed they needed to drill the lock & charged $180 and left a million metal shards all over my place (where my pets were obviously going to walk). I know it was not necessary to drill the lock as I locked myself out a couple years ago and it did not require drilling. When I returned I had my locks replaced by another great company which charged almost half of what this company charged for this service on two doors and did a great job with excellent service. I requested service last month, and Mile High sent Simon (not an employee as they sub the work out). While I think he did a good job, I feel totally ripped-off with pricing and understanding my options. I was unfortunately dealing with moving, job challenges, then a family funeral and I just lost track of what he was doing. $1,600 for basically 3 installed electric locks and a couple of handles is outrageous. I could have purchased on Amazon for significantly less and paid a handyman far less for similar work. I honestly do appreciate having a professional do the job and that is why I contacted them, but I feel I was taken advantage of with his pricing. If Simon had mentioned that I had 3 days to return/replace if I wanted, I may have done so. I did follow-up with Mile High, but they never replied. I learned an expensive lesson with them. read more

Mile high locksmith was awesome! Joe helped me in the sticky situation I was in. Someone had taken my coat from a party that had my only car keys inside. My phone was locked inside my car. Even though I couldnt give them an alternative phone number they still helped me out. As he was making me a new key the person who took my coat returned it!!! He then reprogrammed my old key for me for free. Joe was so nice and even charged my dead phone for me while he was fixing me a new key. A really sucky situation and he made it so much less horrible. I could not remember what locksmith I had used and loved. I had about five in my phone. I have not had good luck with locksmiths so I had hoped this was the one I had liked before. I was wrong. They did come the next morning as I asked. The tech Roy was fine. I paid to have a key made for my key pad; I paid for one re-key; and then I paid for another re-key (two sides of the deadbolt they treated as two separate re-keys). Total for this work and the trip charge $260.00. He gave me two new keys for the key pad; he then would only give me two keys for the double sided deadbolt which he had charged me for two re-keys. Before when I had that deadbolt re-keyed I have always been give 2 keys for each re-key. I asked him for two keys for each re-key as i need to leave one key in the door, one on my keychain, and I need an extra one to keep elsewhere. He just smiled and said no. They don't do that. I am not clear as to how the extraction of a broken key within my deadbolt lock, which took less than 15 minutes, costs $187. No new lock was required. When I made the initial call the guy on the phone would not provide a quote for the different scenarios he described that may happen. $100 feels like a more reasonable charge and I asked the company to review the charges. We'll see what happens.... As a follow up to this review the company did refund me $40. Still a little overpriced but a nice gesture on the part of the company. read more
