When you walk in, it had a nice vibe to it. There is a huge barrel of peanuts that you can scoop to eat at your table. We were greeted right away, and we were walked to our booth. The place was pretty big. They had plenty of room for seating, especially for big parties. There was a couple of big parties that came before us and it didn't feel crowded. The place was clean. They have flatscreen TVs around muted and you can hear the country music in the background. Our waiter was very friendly and took his time when we were ordering. Hubby ordered a cocktail drink and he said it was good and I ordered unsweetened tea. The drinks came in mason jars, which was a nice spin to the standard glass cup. At the table, they gave us two fresh hot rolls that were light and fluffy sweet and buttered. It was so good that we asked for seconds. Hubby ordered the half slab barbecue ribs and loaded, baked potato and a side salad with 1000 island. The barbecue ribs was nice fall off the bone. It had dry rubbed smoked, and the rib sauce was on the side. Hubby liked it. He would get it again, and he also enjoyed his loaded, baked potato with all the fixings. I ordered the 1 pound bone in ribeye steak with baked potato with butter and sour cream, medium rare and side salad with thousand island dressing. I got the salad and I was asked if I wanted croutons and cheese and I said yes it was OK. I felt like the lettuce should've been more fresh and crispy. It was kinda wilted, but I still ate it anyway. And they doused the salad with my thousand island dressing. Next time I will ask for the dressing on the side. My steak was indeed medium rare just the way I like it. I was also given A1 steak sauce, which is my favorite stay condiment. Our weight staff checked us a couple of times to make sure everything was OK. Is definitely a popular place because after we left the place got filled up pretty quickly. Overall, I come back here again when I'm around the area for the steak and ribs, the hospitality and those hot rolls!

We're from the Grand Rapids area, so it was a bit of a trek being about an hour and a half away. GR has plenty of karaoke options in the surrounding area and a ton of breweries - none that I'm aware of mix the two, nor have anything as unique as this. Seeing as it was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty packed, actually pretty hard to find seating. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get a spot near the stage. One thing to note is that they don't serve food; however there's usually a food truck onsite, so that's nice, if you happen to like the type of food on that particular day. The place was pretty packed, of course it was a Saturday, so wasn't a big surprise. Unfortunately, a few of the adult beverages were unavailable, apparently due to the 10-year anniversary the day before. I first tried the dark bodega Mexican lager, it was good, but not really what I was in the mood for. So, I decided to try something a little different, I'm glad I did. I went with the peanut butter & jelly ale, wow, I was really impressed! I ended up sticking to the PB&J's for the rest of the night. A couple of others in my party, who normally don't like ales, tried the PB&j and thought it was great. All in all, it was a great experience. The karaoke was a blast, some absolutely incredible singers. And I've never seen a crowd so engaged, the place was full of energy, so I'm sure that added to the overall positive experience. If Watermark wasn't so far away, it would definitely be a regular visit for us. We missed the last crowd elimination karaoke event in June, but are planning to make a return trip for the next one in July!

The online ordering option is nice but it does auto-set to an 18% tip, so be aware of that. You can change it though. Average - Rib tips were ok but I have had better at the Larks Girls bbq truck. Too much fat and not enough meat, and not enough sauce. The white bread was under all of the meat and sauce, so that is unusual. It is usually on the side or on top at places. Dressing and mac are just ok. I like the sauce in the smothered pork chops but I prefer a different quality of meat. The cornbread is flat, like johnny cakes. They were ok but one was burnt. They were out of mashed potatoes both times and they gave me white rice instead on a delivery order instead of calling me. They were also out of banana pudding the 2nd time and Uber Eats did call me to ask about taking peach cobbler instead. It was mostly just sweetened dough and syrup, not much peach. Would not get again. Both orders were placed in the afternoon, so if you are running out of stuff that early, maybe online ordering is not the best option for you. They also don't accept notes in the system so you can tell them what to substitute.

Some of the food at the Restaurant is a little hit and miss and I think the Van may be the same. Worked out today, they were in Bridgman and I was getting our car serviced their. Got 2 sandwiches with 2 sides and two types of bbq sauce. Here is my opinion (again, just a dude who loves food and loves to cook, including BBQ): Brisket Sandwich, very tasty! Awesome flavor to meat and a nice soft roll (Kosher Salt on top of roll a little weird). Texas Hot Link Sandwich, again, very good. Maybe not quite as good as Brisket. Served on Texas Toast. BBQ Sauces were a hit and a miss (Again for me). Spicy sauce was spicy and pretty good. Sweet one was not good. There was also a Mustard Sauce and a Coffee sauce that I did not try. Sides were not good. Coleslaw has absolutely no taste and I love coleslaw. Potato Salad was also quite bland and the Potatoes were just a little too al dente'. They have other sides and I will give them a shot next time.

It was unclear what they meant but she seemed unwilling to put us on the list when we called at about 5:00. So, we decided to take our chances and stopped by about 6:15 and immediately got seated.....probably helped it was just the 2 of us as they were very busy. Our server, Zoe was very good, well versed on the menu and was attentive but not overly so....excellent at her job. The highlight however (for me) was watching the entire hard working staff work together. It was like a finely orchestrated ballet. Mostly young people who worked extremely hard and never seemed to miss a beat! The owner or manager stopped by to check on us (seems rare these days) and was very friendly. The food was good, not out of this world good but very satisfying and we were happy.

I ordered the lasagna, my husband ordered the chicken marsala, and we also ordered the artisan bread appetizer and chocolate cake. The menu makes a point of mentioning house-made pasta and sauces, so I was genuinely looking forward to the lasagna. Unfortunately, the red sauce tasted remarkably similar to something straight from a can. The entire dish was bland, underseasoned, and lacking any real depth of flavor. The cheese was chewy and seemed very low quality, and nothing about the dish reflected the care or quality I expected from a restaurant advertising house-made Italian food. My husband's chicken marsala wasn't much better. We honestly couldn't even tell whether we received a full chicken breast because of how it had been cut and portioned. The marsala sauce was fine, but completely unremarkable. There was nothing about it that justified the price or made the dish memorable. Then came the artisan bread, which somehow managed to be another disappointment. The bread itself seemed undercooked, and once again, there was almost no seasoning. At that point we were genuinely wondering whether anyone in the kitchen was using salt. The chocolate cake was probably the best thing we ordered, although what arrived seemed more like a flourless chocolate cake than what we expected from the description. It was fine, but after the rest of the meal, it certainly wasn't enough to redeem the experience. What makes this more frustrating is that the restaurant clearly puts effort into creating an upscale experience. You have the beautiful atmosphere, the presentation, valet parking, and prices that suggest customers should expect a certain level of quality. Unfortunately, that same level of attention does not seem to be making it into the kitchen. I spent 16 years working as a chef, and both my husband and I have extensive experience in the service industry. I understand that kitchens have bad nights and mistakes happen. I'm usually willing to give restaurants some grace because I know firsthand how demanding this industry can be. But there is a difference between one dish having an issue and an entire meal consistently lacking basic seasoning, preparation, and quality. To make matters worse, when we called about our experience, the person who answered the phone was far from professional. Considering how poor the meal was, I was surprised there wasn't even an attempt to offer a refund or otherwise make the situation right. For the amount of money this restaurant charges, the food should match the experience it is trying to sell. In our case, it absolutely did not. There are frozen or prepared Italian meals from the grocery store that I would genuinely choose over what we were served here. If you're planning a special night out or looking to treat yourself to good Italian food, I would spend your money elsewhere. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and unfortunately, one I cannot recommend.
