Who and the fuck would buy this shitty ass hole in the ground bar hopefully somebody with more sense in their heads than the current owners, or should I say bar whores and cocksuckers who only care about their might dollar and not their customers. we will see how long they keep this post up. you know I've been a very good customer of Thiers since they opened. After Shawna's previous Bar she worked at under her former asshole boss John Azevedo. with whom she left that job and took a lot of customers with her to the rusty hook. I thought we were on the same page business wise. I even kept this bar clean for quite a few years and made sure it was safe and protected on many occasions, Hell I even cooked for them on a few occasions and promoted their business. Then last year they overserved my former wife and didn't even offer to help with the ambulance ride or hospital bills. instead they called myself and my former wife money grubs and trying to shake them down. when all I asked for was some insurance information. what kind of low life thug pieces of shits they were when the called my wife a slut and accused of of suing everyone in Manteca. we have never sued anyone. only wanted to on occasions. but never did. I didn't even go after them and I should have.. so here it is almost a year later as this happened last march..... I decided at late night to go and have a beer. the bitch owner was serving. and said I was confused and refused to serve me even one beer. how come these stupid chicks hold grudges forever. about something they caused. and never helped their loyal customer with their medical when needed. based on their bartender over pouring drink ds and taking advantage of their customers bad day. if even one person reads this. I feel really bad that the people we had called friends and the business we had supported to the tunes of many tens of thousands of dollars since they opened. turned on us in a dire time. and couldn't even show the respect to us that was deserved. and not even the respect to a patron of their bar who must have tipped the owners a few thousand dollars over the years because my former wife always wanted to buy a drink from Shawna and tip her before we left everyday. Shawna I sure hope you don't teach your children to be backstabbers and thieves like you and your husband were to us In all my years of business with all my businesses ive had, I never once tried to turn a bad situation if caused by my staff , .onto a customer and tried to shame them as well. you should have just offered me my beer tonight as I will now unleash my wrath upon your bar through social media, as well as through all my veteran friends. Patrons beware... this place has seriously changed for the worse! The staff is judgmental as hell! A simple misunderstanding gets you barred for life, and not for something major... a misunderstanding about beer bottles! Who calls the police for walking out with empty beer bottles in a bag??? What was intended as an attempt to recycle (which these guys do NOT do) ended up in being pulled over and nearly arrested... over a few empty bottles! Completely idiotic! This place was never that great to begin with. Yeah, the place is clean and the music is decent, but the service stinks, the drinks are more often than not watered down, and their bathrooms almost always smell like vomit... have they ever heard of disinfectant? I won't even start with the drug deals that go down there... right out in the open, for the world to see! And did I mention the area around there is a popular place for homeless to take a dump? Yep... I don't suggest you look around the back part of the place... Hey, if all you want is loud music and a place to get drunk, have a ball. here's the low-down on this bar. girls...i've seen way hotter. but then again, go here for the cheap drinks not the chicks. one of my experiences at the rusty hook... owner's g/f and her best friend...all right looking, sorta average, one on the short chubby side and one really skinny. anyway, b/f is shit-faced faded and thinks she's a hella of a lot hotter than anyone else there thinks she is. she stumbles around. ends up in a fight with some dude. owner's g/f takes her into the bathroom where she is on her hands and knees blowning chunks-face deep in the rusty hook toilet. yah. more fighting. cops come. take some dude that b/f is fighting with (inbetween barfing and rubbing up on dudes) to jail. typical night at this bar. go there is you want good cheap drinks and cheap jerry springer type entertainment. seriously, it's about as white-trash as you can get. the regulars there are super friendly if not just a tad desperate. good times to be had by all...just don't take any of the girls there home. read more

Dive bar with personality. Good People, Fun atmosphere, Cheap strong drinks. Bartender was super nice and knew every drink I threw at here. Bathrooms were kinda small, but hear they are expanding in the near future and getting bigger ones, and a shuffle board table, that means I will be back for sure. I am a fan of dive bars and have been in some real shitty ones, this bar belongs more at the top end of the dive status quo. I would really give it three or four stars due to the small bathrooms and overall size, but I had such a good time laughing with the bartender and the other locals while getting completely trashed under 40 bucks is a win in my book. read more

well i used to go there before this owner, don't remember what it was called, but it was a dump then. However it was cooler then. Friendlier, more down to earth people and metal music alot (which keeps the riff raff out). I can't say the place isn't cleaned up and not such a dump but last time i went waited 22 minutes(yes i counted) for a drink. When i walked in i thought the bartender with long brown hair was kinda cute. But after waiting that long, not so much! Drinks are pretty cheap, but i miss the metal. The discrimination is crazy. I've never been to such a place that allows so much drugs and violence and so much discrimination from the business and employees. The least they could do is play good music and keep the rules fair for everyone not just the people they like and wanna sleep with. I have 1 big complaint. The bartender with the big yitties and yoga pants is a bitch. The bar is also musty and smells etc. I personally don't like any bar in Manteca but Chuck's at least got nice bartenders. read more
