I have been here a couple of times. Once even for Sunday breakfast, typically a super busy time for any restaurant that services breakfast in Utah. The food and service has always been good. They serve an average American menu, nothing out of the ordinary or signature must have. I'd recommend if you're looking for the classics and don't want to spend too much. read more

We live in our RV full time and try a LOT of restaurants. Lately we've been disappointed more often than not but today was breakfast redemption! They were dealing with two large parties when we visited so the kitchen was slammed but they still managed to cook my eggs perfectly! The hash browns were crispy as was the bacon. i ate there this afternoon for lunch and it was really good. I really liked that i was able to seat myself and then they were super attentive to us. We've been coming here for a few years. The last two times have been very disappointing. We had the normal 30 minuet wait and we then waited another 30 minuets to get our food. The vegetables in the omelet were uncooked, both the pancakes and waffles were cold. We will try again, I hope that they improve the food quality and service back to when they first opened. I gave them a 3 star because of our past experiences and I wanted to take in consideration that it was a holiday. read more

This restaurant is fantastic! I came here with my family to get a bite to eat on a trip through a few states (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah). All the servers were wearing masks, and they sanitized the tables and menus before we used them. We were seated immediately and our waitress came over right away to take our order. The food came out quickly (the French toast is AMAZING!) and was eaten just as fast. The outside of the building looks sort of worn and decrepit but the inside is very nice and rustic! My husband and I have eaten here several times and had good service and good food BUT today my daughter and her family came for a visit and it was dismal. The food came incomplete to the table in four stages. The first meal delivered was completely eaten by the time the last meal was delivered. No coffee refills were offered as we waited for the meals to come. The strawberries for the waffle were finally delivered after the waffle had all ready been eaten. No syrup with the waffle. No explanation for why it took an hour and a half to get our final meal delivery. read more

The biggest disappointment was ordering a piece of "homemade banana cream pie" to go and when I opened it, I found a piece of frozen store bought pie with no bananas and artificial flavoring. We stopped on our way back home from Idaho to get a late lunch today and had an ok experience. I ordered the French dip and was disappointed when I saw how little meat they put on the sandwich. It did have a good flavor and I was starving so I ate it all. My husband tried to order the weekend ribeye special and they were out, so he tried to order their 12oz New York steak and they were out, so he settled for the pork chops and they were good. Then for dessert we had the chocolate cream pie, which was magnificent. Again, we tried to order two other desserts and they were out. We must of come on a bad day. We would like to try it again, but will probably call ahead next time to make sure they aren't out of what we want to order. read more

Since my last review about 7 months ago (looks like I was a bit hangry), I have gone back to this place quite a few times. They have definitely stepped it up and are doing a much better job. The staff is great (was always great) and they have a lot of good people working there. Sometimes the presentation of the food is not really that appealing, but it's good none the less. I think that they can do a little better on some cooking techniques and take a little bit more pride in plating their food. But doing much better than where they were before. And in my opinion, still by a long shot, the best restaurant in the Brigham / Perry area. read more

If there was a start lower than 1? That's what I would chose! The owner has bought the Branding Iron In Ogden & that's where I went. Everything says The Rusty Spoon. There were 3 large cleaning buckets ON tables with rags in them that they were using to clean off the tables when customers left. My waitress said it was sanitizer? So, clean a dirty table with a rag & stick it back in the bucket... then take the same rag out & use it over & over? Spilling & dripping the "sanitizer " all over? YUK!! Ordered a skillet with over easy eggs and asked for crispy hash browns with toast. My waitress came back to the table to ask me again what kind of eggs I wanted. Skillet came with sunny side up, not even cooked eggs & almost raw hash browns. She said she would be back with my toast & didn't return for over 10 minutes. The person I was with had ordered over easy eggs & got the same sunny side up, barley cooked so called eggs. When the bus boy/man was using the mystery cleaner in the bucket, he would just wipe all paper, food & whatever was on the table onto the floor. The place was absolutely filthy! The waitress took my meal off our ticket & I did tip her as I don't feel the food or health code violations were her fault. Shame! I was told the previous owners of The Branding Iran's grandson, who owns the Perry location has bought this?!? Way to shame your grandparents! read more

Never come here! First I ordered a steak medium rare. It arrived medium well. When the second steak finally came it literally was the worst steak I have ever had tasted. We stopped for brunch on a road trip with our kids. Sign said seat yourself but they didn't notice us and we sat for a while before going in search of menus. Grumpy waitstaff. One waitress was friendly but the rest of the staff looked like they'd rather be anywhere else in the world. We waited almost an hour for our food. From the looks on other patrons' faces it was the same for everyone. Food was delicious but we wasted way too much of our day sitting there when we needed to be covering miles. Went there after they had been open for about two months. The atmosphere is very dark because of all the metal on the walls. The food wasn't very great and really under seasoned.
