I write this with an air of great and absolute fondness for the truly kind staff and the fantastic items sold here that are so good, I go here to shop for Christmas every year, although I also shop directly for myself at all times of year.
All due respect, I'm having a hard time figuring out the single negative review on customer service, instead having an equally hard time fully explaining how exceptionally friendly and kind the staff is! Everyone is ALWAYS so nice to me and so attentive when need be, yet they leave you to float the comfortable, welcoming floor with ease. They give enough space to get you thinking, without any slick sales pitch. This is the most zero-pressure I've ever experienced in a retail store, thereby also the easiest. And in general, at times in other stores where I'm subjected to feel like I'm being suspiciously watched, I never get that here. Courtesy is standard, but genuine friendliness/camaraderie is above/beyond/everything and for that, I thank you.
Retail-wise, you'll come out ahead of the game... and in my case, WAY ahead: although the price point on items is spot-on throughout the store, your dollar WILL go far if you're a bargain retail gift-shopper like me: This brick/mortar often has price-points I can't believe, where sometimes it's 70, even 90 percent off original price! I come to take advantage of their sales (make a b-line to the back of the store) where you'll find great sales gems and thereby stock up on holiday items. It's insane to me that I could at times buy Woolrich at deeply discounted prices, when offered. As a California guy, it's perfect for me, as I can take home good quality East-Coast pieces to distribute as gifts. And, of course, it's a fun place to buy your staple New England sports-themed collector's stuff, always at comparable, even competitive prices.
Thank you, Rugged Mill, for always providing a positive, honest consumer experience for me; and, I must say, truly one of the best for this reviewer. I will ALWAYS come shop at your store when visiting North Conway, which I hope will be more often in the future. read more
