It is a small restaurant and it is definitely a no-frills type place. My server took awhile to get over to me when I first seated myself and after giving me a menu, took a bit of time to get back to me to take my order. She was friendly enough, though. As I said, I am pretty obsessed with pupusas, so I went with them. I will say that they are a bit more expensive than what I normally pay for them. I usually pay about three dollars a piece for them. Here, they offered a plate of three pupusas for thirteen dollars. So, I paid four dollars more than what I would pay at most other places. The food came out and I tore into my pupusas. They were okay, but nothing beyond average. It seems the filling was more bean and not so much meat. I guess overall, I can only give it three stars. The food warrants three stars, but the value compared to the quality and taste is only two stars, but I will still keep it at three stars overall.

Parking is somewhat limited, but again, it is a small place so the parking lot definitely is in proportion to the size of the business. La Colonia overall is a positive experience. Again, there is nothing fancy about this establishment, but I have found that this type of food is usually best represented by these humble little places. La Colonia is a decent place to head over for a good meal. As an overall rating, I will give it four stars for the whole experience. If you are looking for a more upscale place, this is probably not the place for you. However, if you want some good food at an okay price, come check out LA Colonia.

My go-to items are the Mexican tacos, tortas, and nachos. My wife is all about the Cali burrito, and the kids stick with the burger. The only downside is the inconsistency. Sometimes they're closed when you expect them to be open, and lately it hasn't always been the original cooks, which makes a difference in the food quality. But if you catch them open and spot the old-school red dually truck out front, do yourself a favor and stop by and you'll get a fantastic lunch.

Honestly, Diana's is what put me on to great Mexican food. I've eaten at other restaurants with really good dishes, but this truck still holds the #1 spot for me. The only downside (and it's not the food!) is the inconsistency of their hours. I never really know when they'll be open. More than once, I've driven out (totally worth the drive) only to find them closed. It would be nice if they had posted hours or even a number to call. But here's the thing: I still take my chances, because when Diana is there, the food is 100% worth it. And beyond the food, Diana herself is so kind, whenever she sees my kids, she gives them a little something for free, whether it's a drink or candy. That small gesture makes us feel like family. Highly recommend! Check this food truck out! SN: They have a little seating area. No frills. I always pick up and go. But if you choose, take a seat and stay.
