Update 6/22/2026:…read more Met up with a colleague for lunch and this place never fails me! The owner and staff are wonderful people working hard to bring the Hawaiian-Filipino taste to the Jax Community! Reminds me of when I visited Hawaii in the past and I just miss the islands! It was during early lunch so it was quiet at first but later saw folks coming through for lunch. My colleague never had Hawaiian food so the owner and I recommended a few dishes -- he chose the Loco Moco, Hawaiian-comfort food. I missed the garlic shrimp back then, and so luckily they had it in the menu -- Hawaiian Fried Garlic Shrimp!!! It was fantastic! The savory and super garlicky taste of those fried shrimps (yes, they had the shells still on, but that's the best part). The shells were crispy/fried enough and covered in the garlicky sauce that you can just eat it. Some folks may have other opinions, but I'm used to eating it this way in my culture as well. The fiesta rice was seasoned well and the Hawaiian Mac Salad was wonderfully semisweet and seasoned well too. Always great vibes by the decor and the owners!

The staff and owners greet you to then make sure you are taken care of. Most items on the menu ranged between $10 to $20 dollars. As of the moment, what I was truly hoping to try was outside of my price range. I ordered to go and purchased a Spam Masubi ($3.50 without tax). I will state that this appetizer may not be the best representative of this restaurant's cuisine. I would personally rate it 5.8/10 and would truly hope to try something different. I also believe the cost to meal gained ratio left me feeling this was a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, I want to return to try a different menu item as others have stated the food was enjoyable.

I also recommend getting the Holleok (sweet pancakes) for dessert! Delicious & authentic! I decided to…read morechange my plans and get something from Taste of Korea instead and I'm glad that I was able to try it. I got the regular doshirak, which was essentially a large bento box. I opted for beef bulgogi and it came with rice, a fried dumpling, japchae, kimchi, pickled veggies, Korean rolled egg, bean sprouts, and a couple of other sides. The food was ready faster than the 15 minutes quoted, which was great. I enjoyed the bulgogi. It was tender and had good flavor. The pickled veggies and kimchi were the most flavorful sides. I also liked the japchae. The dumpling was too greasy, as evidenced by the grease in the wrapper and the egg and rice didn't have much flavor. The egg needed salt. I really wanted - and should've ordered - the Korean hot dog...next time. This place has great customer service and packaging. It's a bit pricey at $20 for what you get or for comparable options, which are within the $15-17 range.

It was very good and I finished every bite. Got the Michelada, who says it is too early to drink beer with this heat? And yep, Modelo Especial with the Tajín was on the spot. Super servicio from the staff as usual, and they are very friendly here at Mi Rancho GTO, which means My Ranch at the State of Guanajato, Mexíco. Oh yeah, I just found out that they have Karaoke on Fridays, may have to go there with amigos and sing some Mańa songs!

It was also very loud at the time, because obviously. Still not bad. Service is great and food usually comes out fast. Chips and salsa are good. The guac dip looks like it's prepackaged but still decent, and kid-approved. My daughter loves their California burrito and uses this as standard for other California burritos, which, to date, according to her, no one has met. Their regular tacos (crunchy beef and soft beef) are a hit with the littles. I had their tostada de ceviche was delicious! You get 2 tostadas and everything tasted fresh! The shrimp, although chopped, were a good portion! The $5 margaritas were not had for the price it is overall, a go to for whenever we want a straightforward Mexican dinner!
