I love this place and always recommend this place. Until today. I placed an order through grub hub but I follow up by phoning in hamburger specifications as I wasn't able to do when ordering. Raul answered and was very accommodating. To the point of letting me know they were out of meatloaf (which was one of the entrees I ordered) He suggested substituting a sirloin dish to which I agree. I receive a notification from Grubhub they are crediting me for meatloaf. I decide to call rs back to tell them I'm being credited although I substituted the suggested sirloin entree. Mary answered. I explained what has transpired. She insists I spoke to her to about no meatloaf. I assured her I spoke to Raul. She called me a liar and hung up on me. I phone back. I get answering service. I phone back Raul answers. He says he told her what was happening. It's obvious she didn't follow through. Im told manager won't be available until TUESDAY. Im aghast that this woman, & I use the term loosely, had the audacity to tell me I spoke to her, to imply I was lying to her, & then to hang up on me. Great little breakfast and lunch spot in a depressing looking strip mall. Avoid high Naples prices here and fill up for a day on one of their fabulous five egg omelets. On a Sunday morning in Naples, my family and I were on the search for some decent breakfast that did not involve us travelling to Marco island. We happened upon this quant looking place, and the thing that caught our eye was an entire crew of firemen were eating here (which is usually a very good sign). I had the 3 eggs with corned beef hash (something I can get picky about) and a side of gravy. The corned beef was slightly crispy on the ouside but nice and warm on the inside. It was cooked perfectly. The rest of my family ordered everything from vegetarian options, to the county fried steak, to the bacon etc. No one had any complaints and everyone was a bit surprised how well everything tasted. In old school dinner fashion, we were given a check to bring up to the front of the store to pay. If you're looking for decor, this place isn't going to charm your pants off however if you are looking for a great breakfast THIS is the place. read more

Good value for an American breakfast at this cozy roadside diner. Biscuits are enormous, but more of a dinner roll style in my opinion (judge for yourself). Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Service was friendly too. Location is in a strip mall next to Raceway gas. I have been coming here for 15-17 years. A East Naples Icon !!! Much better NOW, then when Nana operated it. She was a snob of a drunk, and had a mouth like a sailor ! Family owned, Family operated, all homemade. Very good. Nothing but good things to say, in the nicely remodeled Hitching Post Strip Mall.. Clean, friendly, busy. Swamped on the weekends. Went there with my coworker. We found ourselves a booth of our preference, sat down to over look the menu. I love the retro diner theme especially because it used red and black, which are my favorite colors. The waitress was attentive and kept a decent conversation throughout the sitting. The only fault in experience was just that i ordered a full stack(3 pancakes) instead I received half stack which is only 2 pancakes. They fixed it and I mean we are only human so no complaints there. We ordered a lot of food so it was understandable. I would come back and try a different. read more

The R in The R's Diner has started to stand for "regular" for me and my husband because once we found it, we kept coming back for more on "the regular!" It's really becoming part of our regular routine, beating out some of the more fancy Naples brunch spots due to their ridiculously good tasting food and their amazing price point. I'm in love with their Fresh Spinach Omelette, which like all spinach omelettes should... comes with bacon and your choice of cheese inside. And my husband's go to meal is the country eggs Benedict (a play on his usual eggs Benedict) which comes with two poached eggs on top of two sausage patties on top of two savory biscuits, all smothered in sausage gravy and served with a side of hash browns! I don't know what happened on our visit that was so significantly different from other reviewers, but our portions were skimpy (embarrassingly so), and the chicken Caesar salad was nearly inedible. The Cobb salad was served with huge chunks of white onion that made it awful. read more

Really not sure why this place is getting good reviews. Took a chance based on what I read and recommended to my parents for breakfast. Our booth wobbled horribly and there were lots of flies. Coffee was ok. Homemade corn muffin wasn't good, it was chewy and not much corn flavor. I had two scrambled eggs and pancakes. Eggs were ok. Pancakes were chewy and it was cheap syrup. My dads oatmeal was instant and not cooked well. My mom got toast, over medium egg and pancake. Egg wasn't cooked well, pancake chewy and toast was ok. We definitely would not recommend or be back. I was here for breakfast 2 days in a row. I came in from out of town to play a golf tournament and I needed an early opening breakfast place. The Rs fit the bill since they open at 6.
