The Library Lounge has a very old English Gentlemen Club look and feel with bookshelves on the walls ( hence Library ). I say amazing customer service is that the restaurant staffs are very accommodating and also courteous, while we were waiting for our table, ( they had a very very busy Wednesday night ), even the Bar Tender came to chat with just keep us happy. We ordered: To start : Beef Barley Soup / Borscht both were done well but it took about 45 mins. before our soup appeared, our server did communicate to the kitchen but still our soups were not ready until later! I do not blame the server at all, but I saw a few tables before us got their soups or salads and they all came after us. Oh well, sometimes the kitchen staffs are hard to deal with. Steak & Prawns - Cooked to perfection, the meat is slightly on the lean side for my taste, but still very flavourful. Seafood Pasta - Tomato based sauce filled with Halibut, Salmon, Mussels etc. Creamy and full of fresh tomatoes, the pasta can be a tad more al dente and will be perfect! Nice ambience, with live music, this is a great spot to come enjoy a relaxing evening with good food and wine, and of course the very friendly staffs and even fellow dinners!!

We were brought the wrong drinks at first, then they were out of the wine I had ordered. This is not at fault of the staff, I was offered a different wine on the menu, more expensive and was charged the higher price; they should have honored the original price of the wine I initially ordered. The vibe is unique and different, something I always appreciate. Try the burgers, my husband said it's the best he has ever had.

Nice inviting, cozy, romantic atmosphere. Service was good awful. Nelson has wonderful Bohemian vibes, and among small cities they've got some of the most balanced chakras around. Still, the good vibes seem to inflate the heads of young wait staff, who seem to this old miser a bit aloof in attitude and needing a dose of hustle. You can be friendly and move fast at the same time people. We waited 10 minutes for a greet, 5 for water, another 15 for our order, then a full 25 for the actual food. Whoof. We ordered drinks and the waitress pressed us to order our appetizers and meal. We ordered our apps and she came back ten minutes later to tell me they were all out of potstickers. I ordered chicken wings. They came out tough to eat and very dry looking. I told the waitress that they were old and dry. She took them back and a few minutes later she came back with the same chicken wings, hotter and covered in sauce( the same wings I suspect). I also ordered chicken avocado wrap, said I wanted it spicy, they soaked it with Franks red hot. Inedible. My buddy ordered beef dip. The beef was so tough and the fries so greasy, he couldn't finish. Not good.

The place was pretty busy at the time we got there but not full.... The server greeted us pretty quickly and offered appetizers and the special they had. We ordered a couple of appetizers and some pitchers of beer and didn't have to wait long for it. The servers were friendly too and would check up on us incase we wanted anything else :) One good thing is that they tell you when last call is unlike other places... The ambiance is quite relaxed and they play music but its not blaring so you can actually talk to the person you are with which is great. The decor was fine and had some nice touches but it still needs to be improved as parts are a bit dated; it was probably a mix between an older outdated style with some modern touches thrown in... They need to ditch the tacky banquet chairs at some tables.... All in all the place definitely has potential to be something the area doesn't have currently. The only thing I didn't like is that last call is pretty early and they close at 10 so we had to go to another bar after lol. It's a good place to come with friends to have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere without the feeling of being in a bar and it's the only place in Trail with that type of establishment which i am accustomed to in Vancouver...

There was outdoor seating that was wonderful for this hot evening, but there is a bit of a wait to get that seating. It is an umbrella covered seating area with a candle on the table, giving a romantic or cozy feeling. The service was nice but busy as expected. The server had a nice approach, but I felt like I was being sold items that the server first said she did t care for, but as I selected the item, she then said it was a great choice and that she liked it. I'm never really interested in the likes or dislikes of the server, but their description of dishes and answers to questions about ingredients or items on a dish on invaluable. I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich with a salad. The chicken breast was perfectly prepared with a nice crunch. It was served on a brioche bun. I had sharp cheddar cheese with the usual burger toppings. I am now appreciating that spicy, according to the palates of European - associated community, is not the same as it would be in some Latin, Thai, or Black/African communities. I love moderate to high heat and spice. What is considered "very spicy and hot", to my palate, was mild and tasty. That being said, it was a tasty burger and the salad was fine. We did not order dessert given how busy it was and we were tired from a long day. I would recommend this place to eat as a bit of an upscale bar food place. I would recommend that the chefs learn how to adjust the heat and spice for those of us believing the menu when it says hot and spicy*** as server for increased heat and spice.
