The cracklin chicken was the dish of envy tonight. The chicken was moist and flavourful with the skin having a snappy crust to it. Served with risotto. Marzano usually has excellent service, but this go round it was lack lustre. The restaurant was not super busy and plenty of staff were on but not very attentive. We waited over 15 minutes after we were seated before someone came to the table to greet us. Nonetheless the restaurant offers a great atmosphere that is cozy, clean and clearly well thought out in aesthetic design.

Pizza got great feedback from the table overall, though a couple slices were slightly undercooked in the center and flopped when picked up. I ordered the sirloin, which was okay, though not my favorite part of the meal. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, offering a soup sample to our 90-year-old guest who was unsure about the daily option, and kindly helped wrangle us for a group photo during a busy dinner hour, which I really appreciated. The interior is gorgeous--modern, warm, and very well maintained. Even though Marzano opened in 2018, it feels much newer.
