The crust on the prosciutto pizza was soft like a pillow and the tomato sauce was fresh and full of flavour. However, the pizza arrived cold at the table. Cavatelli Frutti di Mare had a rich flavour where you could taste the lobster oil that was used in a way that did not make the dish too fishy. One downside the pasta was undercooked. The cracklin chicken was the dish of envy tonight. The chicken was moist and flavourful with the skin having a snappy crust to it. Served with risotto. Marzano usually has excellent service, but this go round it was lack lustre. The restaurant was not super busy and plenty of staff were on but not very attentive. We waited over 15 minutes after we were seated before someone came to the table to greet us. Nonetheless the restaurant offers a great atmosphere that is cozy, clean and clearly well thought out in aesthetic design.

Marzano clearly puts intention behind what they do, drawing inspiration from traditional Neapolitan techniques and a focus on high-quality, simple ingredients, and that care shows up on the menu. From an accessibility standpoint, this was one of the easier Italian meals I've had while eating GF. Gluten-free options were clearly labeled, including modification notes, which made ordering straightforward. Nearly all pizzas and pastas could be made gluten free, aside from specialty pastas like the gnocchi and lasagna. They also had a gluten-free focaccia available as an appetizer, which had an excellent texture. The appetizers were a standout. We shared the gnocchi and burrata and both were delicious. Pizza got great feedback from the table overall, though a couple slices were slightly undercooked in the center and flopped when picked up. I ordered the sirloin, which was okay, though not my favorite part of the meal. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, offering a soup sample to our 90-year-old guest who was unsure about the daily option, and kindly helped wrangle us for a group photo during a busy dinner hour, which I really appreciated. The interior is gorgeous--modern, warm, and very well maintained. Even though Marzano opened in 2018, it feels much newer. I debated between a 4 and 5 star review due to my entrée and the pizza texture, but the intention is clearly there, and the overall experience was strong. I'd absolutely come back and would love to try more of the menu next time.

We were brought the wrong drinks at first, then they were out of the wine I had ordered. This is not at fault of the staff, I was offered a different wine on the menu, more expensive and was charged the higher price; they should have honored the original price of the wine I initially ordered. The vibe is unique and different, something I always appreciate. Try the burgers, my husband said it's the best he has ever had.

It was fine but needed balance in the ingredients. 3 kinds of cheese (just a couple of shaved pieces, not marked, so we were guessing what each was), 3 pieces of sliced baguette, salami thinly sliced and cut into pieces (!), a couple of rolled prosciutto, a few candied pecans, and some nutty rice crackers. ($20) We've had better. They had "1" more special left of tri tip steak pieces in a wine sauce with braised carrots and roasted potatoes. Quite good and well seasoned. We sliced it and split it between us. The person who served us appeared to be an owner and she said they will be revamping the menu for winter, adding some comfort food and more complete meals. We'll be back.

It's well worth the drive with plenty of parking on the street and close by. It's not a quiet place, being a pub, but doubly so when the Jays are playing the Yankees in the ALDS up two nothing and 12 runs having been scored in the first four innings. If you're looking for peace and quiet go elsewhere. It's an interesting place, with plenty of charisma. The staff writer as great, helpful and accommodating of perhaps a little prone to tending the tables instead of us at the bar. That said we didn't feel neglected at all even though we were left pretty much alone after our food was dropped. My chicken souvlaki was quite good, with big chunks of chicken breast that was very nicely cooked, not dry at all, not easy to accomplish. The potato and rice pilaf was also very good, as was the tzatziki and the pita. Solid meal! The lovely K had the Veggie Alfredo with Caesar salad and garlic bread which was plentiful, piping hot and tasty. The salad we shared was shaved romaine with diced red onion, dill and apple cider vinaigrette. It didn't sound good to me, but we ordered it anyway, and it was really good.
