Oooh man what a hidden GEM!!!

On our way to the sand dunes we were getting hungry after a couple hundred miles..... And we said the first thing we come across we're pulling over to eat. Thank God we stumbled onto this gym. It looks like a rundown Barn.... But don't let that fool you. Inside you'll be greeted with great customer service and even better food.

Local Spot with great prices, full servings, great service, and easy access to the Hwy! Chill bar vibe with good eats!

Elk Burgers and Lots of Other Food with Bar and Games My son raved about this place so we had to go before I went back to Las Vegas . We all had the Elk Burger , mine with Onion Rings and my son and his girlfriend had Tator Tots . They were good , but my son said it was better the last time , so we will have to try again when I come back . Still not as good as the Buffalo Burgers I had in Montana , they were off the hook ! The bar is pretty cool with lots of wooden chairs and benches . They have a pool table and a like shuffle board game and both are free to play . It is a laid back bar and it also has a small gambling gaming area to the side . The lady that was the bartender / cook was pretty nice . Check it

Stopped with a group of guys on our way from Seattle to Bandon Dunes golf course. Very friendly staff and good food. I loved that it was off the beaten path.

Most of us on ride night. We called ahead of time.

By the looks of the outside I can't see myself ever really stopping unless I was in need of something on a lonely highway. Once inside it's actually pretty cool. It reminds me of a log cabin in the middle of the woods or something. The chairs, and stools look custom made. We called ahead of time and let them know our group was coming. The service was great. The food came out piping hot, and while no it wasn't a 5 start restaurant it was pretty good. It was the typical bar fare, and I was limited on what I usually like to order so I went with the chicken strip basket. They were pretty quality. And I had the ham and bean soup which was also really hot and I am willing to bet was homemade. It had nice chunks of ham. I stole bites of fried mushrooms from a friend while I was waiting for my food. They were good as well. Normal bar food. It was a nice stop for us. We like to ride once a week with our friends, and on nice days we go for longer rides. So this was one of our destinations.

Nice And cozy

When going out to eat its always the same ol same ol. Especially at a bar. I have always felt like part of the family at rose garden inn. Foods good and fresh. Broasted chicken is worth the wait. Poker, drinks, pool, and shuffle board keeps you busy wile enjoying company and great atmosphere.

It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it has great food. Pleasant informal atmosphere. A classy bar and grill.

This place was great. We wanted a good tavern burger and they didn't disappoint! Will stop here again the next time through.

Discouraging experience @ Brother's Cafe in Drain, OR. I will not be a returning customer…read more We were excited to eat breakfast at a place we've never tried before in this small town, especially because it's locally owned and had two 5 star reviews. I called ahead to make sure they were open and they said they'd be open till 3pm for breakfast and brunch. We arrived @ 11am and were hungry for breakfast. This is a small town known for being a timber community, so we weren't expecting anything fancy, just a good traditional American breakfast. The restaurant itself seemed old and tired. The grime stuck on our table top had been there for a while, you could tell it hadn't been properly cleaned for at least a couple days, at least. (While writing this review, after the fact: I should have noticed the Health Score, listed on their Yelp page. You'd think they would actually deep clean, sanitize, and thoroughly go through their inventory after getting detailed feedback like that...) We were patient, not in a rush at all, just in need of some good food. The laminated menus were sticky. Our coffee was weak. I ordered a veggie skillet with sourdough toast. Our waitress asked how I'd like my eggs, which surprised me, so I said over-medium. I received scrambled eggs with lots of cheese and a scarce supply of veggies over potatoes, with a side of plain white toast. I was also served spoiled blackberry jam. I was told the Brother's Skillet was 'better than Denny's' so that doesn't say much... Ugh... overall it made me feel grossed out, sad, and disappointed.

We atopped in on our way somewhere. We were hungry and this place delivered the goods!! Nice small group of tables outside some of which have umbrellas for shade. The menu is very nice with a good number of options that are vegan friendly. I ended up ordering the salmon plate which had a nice portion of perfectly cooked salmon topped with a couple onion slices and some avocado. Subbed out a fruit bowl for the potatoes and toast and added a couple more eggs and a sausage patty to round out. Really good coffee that the server kept topped up for me. Very impressed for a small diner with the food prep, the atmosphere, and the Service. Everything all in with tip was about $40. There's a few places like this in cottage Grove, but I definitely recommend you give this one a try.

We rode our bikes with our friends into Cottage Grove from Baker Bay Campground at Dorena Lake…read more Great ride! Our friend Dan chose Jack Sprat's. We sat outside at a sidewalk table. The menu has pretty good variety. I ordered the Stuffed Poblano. The description looked like it was missing something so I ordered cheese to go on it. Flavor-wise it was ok. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well. There was a huge amount of sweet potato cubes with it. I like sweet potatoes but it was just too much and overpowered the dish. The temperature of my food wasn't hot but just warm...was it sitting around on the pass too long? I didn't like that but I didn't go to the trouble of sending it back. My husband got the Beans and Rice with the chicken breast on top, like what came on mine. He liked his well enough. Our other friend is a wanna-be-healthy guy and a vegetarian so he got Trust Your Gut. It had avacado, sauerkraut, tempeh, and...I don't know what else. You can scrutinize the picture if you want. He liked his. But since I'm the one giving the star rating, I'm giving it a 3. If we are ever in Cottage Grove again I want to try somewhere else.
