The attention to detail in the food is very evident. Everything was delicious. We couldn't even choose a favourite dish because everything was THAT good!!!! It is not often you go out to eat and every single dish is a hit, but here everything truly was. the owner & chef, Kenny visited our table multiple times, chatted with us, checked in on our food & explained exactly what was in each dish. He was extremely personable and also made our experience tonight extremely special. at the end of our meal, we couldn't decide on which dessert to get, so we got the lemon ice cream dish and the chocolate hazelnut mousse. They were both absolutely delicious. the lemon ice cream was so refreshing and the chocolate hazelnut mouse was rich but not too sweet & the crumble on top was incredible. The staff even surprised us at the end of our meal with a little something to congratulate us on our run today. we have never seen a staff do anything like this before, it was the kindest surprise and we are so grateful. they made our night so special. honestly, none of us can remember the last time we had food and service as wonderful as we did tonight. The starts of the experience - the Hokkaido scallop and the chicken ass (only available on the omakaze experience and cannot be ordered in the regular dining room now). Never felt rushed, unlimited sides. Only thing that could be improved is difficulty hearing the server and chef over the background music and restaurant noise. I waited over 30+ mins to be seated and so yes, I could've made a scene, but that wouldn't be me. Phoebe could've just let things be ... you know? Because "it is what it is". But she didn't. Once she seated me and my friend, she offered to take photos for me and of me. SO thoughtful! She also brought me a beautiful ice cream with a sparkling candle in it. SO sweet! She smiled at me every time she walked by almost as a way to make sure I was doing OK and feeling good. She was WAY more attentive than our female server who looked, sounded and acted like she couldn't leave work soon enough. Wasn't going to let her dampen my birthday though... Food tasted good.
