There was an issue with my GrubHub order (Caused by a glitch in the GrubHub app) that was not completely their fault but the staff and management went above and beyond, way beyond. Well, for a restaurant being right by the Ford concert stadium on a concert night they acted like they had no clue there was a concert going on! There was no staff to speak of. I could've got up and started waiting tables and nobody would've ever noticed. We sat and waited for a server for 30 minutes before getting up and going to the bar and getting a bucket of beer ourselves. And then 15 more minutes someone finally came over and we didn't have time to eat at that point before the concert. Then she tried to charge me for the bucket of beer that I'd already bought. A highly recommend food stop in downtown Evansville! The service was great, and the food was out of this world delicious. Everything was so unique! Chicken on the beach pizza is a Mexican twist on pizza. You might think that the Rooftop Smash burger is "just another burger and fries", but I can honestly say it's one of the best I've had in a long time. The rooftop sauce really kicked the burger up a notch, and the fries have an amazing seasoning on them. Almost like, brown sugar? Don't knock them until you try them! This cocktail features rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, and cream of coconut. Such a nice drink before or after your meal. Definitely try to stop by and give the Rooftop a try! read more

I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday because multiple people recommended it for their drinks. Their drink options did not disappoint. I also chose this because I had a few people that weren't 21, so they were able to also come and celebrate with me. My first drink was Caramel Appletini and let me just say wow. It was the right blend of caramel and apple, neither overpowered the other, which to me made it quite enjoyable. For my meal I had the Buffalo Chicken Mac, I had every intention of taking a photo of it before I ate, but completely forgot and just dove right in. Which is why the only photo you're getting is of what was left when I was done. The white cheese mac perfectly balanced out the buffalo chicken, I've gotten it before here and it is always my go to. My only complaint is that I was there with a party of about 20 people. We were about 10 minutes early to our reservation, and when we got there, the room they put us in still had all the chairs on the tables. Also, they sat us at a bunch of random tables which split up our party making it difficult to converse with everyone. Also, two of the tables were booths, which cut off people from each other. The atmosphere of the room we were in didn't really match the rest of the restaurant, the furniture was very plain and there was no music playing like the rest of the restaurant. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, especially for it being her first night, and there being other large parties happening that night. She was the one who recommended the Caramel Appletini for a drink choice and came in frequently to see if we needed anything else. I give this restaurant four stars because the food and drinks were awesome, it was just our seating arrangements that seemed last minute and unorganized. read more

Had to check this place out while I was in town for Brunch - we got there at opening and sat in the sunshine! I started with the blueberry lemon martini - holy moly that was delicious - we also got the Sunday special of bottomless mimosas! I got the Christopher Robbin which was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and had just enough syrup and the right amount of berries! Mom chose the Notorious B&G - the potatoes were crispy, gravy was well seasoned and the eggs were on point. We got the Hangover to take home for pops and he couldn't rave enough about how good it was! If you're in the area, stop and check it out! Food was good, kitchen staff did great! Personally didn't like the sweetness of the fries, but I'm sure some will. The staff were absent. Bar tender disappeared for what felt like 20min, several times. Waitresses didn't acknowledge patrons and rarely returned to the table. Let me first say that where we sat on the Rooftop - you would have never have known there was a pandemic going on - as there was NO social distancing and NO ONE wore masks except the staff. Yes - I was complicit in this as I was with a group who didn't try at all to keep distance. I am more conservative and always wear a mask when I'm not with my husband and this group. I caved to the peer pressure and did the best I could to keep my distance. To each his own - And now, a week later, I am still healthy. TG! My review of the restaurant begins with excellent live music. It was recognizable songs and you could hear enough to sign along - but also not overwhelming so you could carry a conversation, too. Perfect. We were with a large group and the staff did a pretty good job of getting us drinks, bringing refills and getting order accurate and out all together. Only one was late - and that entree showed within 5 minutes of the rest. My hubby got a sandwich and fries. He said it was very good. Not the best ever, but I think he gave it 4 stars. I ordered the Fuji apple chicken salad and it was FABULOUS! It was by far the best salad I've eaten in months - probably the best of the year. The competition for that spot has not been good as I've rarely eaten out. My meals during our tournament/vacation have been a true pleasure and treat. Otherwise, I cook at home. Anyways, the salad had lots of really good fixings and decent lettuce (romaine? not iceberg that's for sure). The picture shows the salad and the bowl is deep - with some of the fixings being layered in, not heaped all on top (which causes problems). We got our bill and the prices were fair. We were able to pay and move on as a group in pretty time. I would DEFINITELY go back - but not in a group and would require distancing. I think on another level, they had another live musician going. I would have gone wherever we could have been seated away from others. I would love to have that salad again. Girl 1 orders buffalo sandwich NO tomato&onion. Girl 2 gets the same exact thing. Later A middle aged male comes in gives everyone their food however both girls 1&2 sandwiches had tomato's and onions, they proceeded to tell the guy that they got no tomatoes and onions, girl 1 says she'll just take the toppings off, while girl 2 ask for new sandwich. The guy says " okay I'll go talk to manager" ( didn't take neither plates not even girl 2s even tho it's "company policy" to take them back??? ) few minutes go by so people at the table take girl 2s sandwich since they were under the impression that they weren't taking the food back since the guy LEFT it. The same guy comes back and takes girl 1s sandwich even tho she had already started to eat it??? Later when they bring out girl 2s sandwich the parents of our group mention that they took the wrong sandwich ( the one he was supposed to take was eaten but then again he NEVER took it after being told she wanted a new sandwich ) so then the waiter comes and says there's nothing she can do but that one sandwich would be VOIDED ( note nothing was voided and we were forced to pay ) so the parents ask for a manager. The "manager" a mixed lady with long curly hair( can't even call her a manager I would assume she was just in charge ) comes out and says they can give 10% off but can not give another free sandwich( never got any free sandwich and paid for all of them ) but one of the parents says that it doesn't make since that girl 1 should have to pay for a sandwich she never ate. Very rudely the mixed lady walks out, a couple minutes later a blonde lady at birdies comes by and says " I'm not in charge I was just at birdies but I would be the manager" and tells us the EXACT same thing about the 10% off and shows film of girl 1 eating the sandwich, which we had told both ladies that she was MID bite when the man had came and took the plate because it was "company policy". The parents say it's BS that she would have to pay for the sandwich but it's whatever, at the end of the night me and my friend offer to pay for girl 1. I would like to note we were given the voided sandwich the waiter and man had promised. The man had also told the managers we tried to argue with him about taking the food which wasn't shown on the film and NEVER happened. ( clearly tried to save himself from being in trouble ) It's clear the people in charge here are very unprofessional and do not need to be working at a service centered job. Also the owner repeats to report reviews because he's scared of the truth. Seems like we were profilied and discriminated against because of our skin color at NO other restaurant would this be the case. 3/10 would not recommend. Additionally you are charged and forced to tip for bigger groups which by LAW in the state of Indiana your supposed to have posted outside which they do NOT. There are not too many places to eat in downtown Evansville by the waterfront, but this is a pretty good option. Surprised that there are several Indian items on the menu, I had to give the chicken masala a try. It was pretty good. Not the best I have had by any stretch of the imagination, but I doubt that there are many Indian restaurants in Evansville. We came for lunch and didn't get a chance to visit the rooftop, but I bet it's a pretty fun place on a Friday or Saturday summer night. read more

The "stone oven pizza" is straight from the freezer and is no better quality than a Jacks pizza. Considering we paid $14 and there was a $2 charge just to add pepperoni...we were extremely disappointed. I have been here a few times now. First time was for drinks, and twice for brunch. The positive- Plenty of space and servers do try to be very quick about getting to you. The upstairs rooftop is a great spot to have some drinks at sunset. The negative- The food is okay. Unfortunately both times I have been there for brunch, they had run out of supplies. The first time it was toilet paper. The bathroom didn't have any and women were waiting outside to see if any servers could at least offer us napkins to use. They got my order wrong that time and i had my food finally come out after the other person i came had already finished eating. Today was the second time I decided to go out for brunch and give the food another chance. Service was quick but this time when my hangover plate arrived- i wasn't provided with utensils to eat it with. I asked the server if I could please have a knife and was told " We ran out of knives. I can go check if we have anymore in the back but i doubt we will". She never came back to my table to confirm either way. I sat there while my boyfriend finished his sandwich never to have her check up on us again. I think at the very least when an establishment runs out of utensils- they should give a warning to those ordering as common courtesy before they order a plate with meat that needs to be cut up. read more

I ate here for my birthday and we were yelled at by, what we were told by their stuff were, "managers", which they were not. They messed up my friends order and took my other friends food whose wasn't messed up. Then they offered us only 10% for their mistake. We asked for clarification on why we couldn't get the food taken off the bill, our mistake someone else at the table ate the messed up order because the food was never taken away and we thought we could just have it. They were rude and we were just trying to understand the situation. Worst service ever. And yes we did end up paying for our food. The owners have been trying to get my friends and families reviews taken down and are trying to insinuate that we are lying and questioning our stories. We've seen other reviews complaining about service and getting free appetizers or apologies and all we're getting are accusation and being told our reviews are getting flagged and delete. It all depends what your looking for at this spot. Service so far has been good. They are a bit overwhelmed but they are everywhere so can't blame the staff. The ambiance here is loud, but it's expected since they host outside activities when the weather permits. As far as food I did not try it this time just came for refreshments (beer is good and the maple old fashion is good stay away from the margarita it taste like all mix) and enjoy company. From out of town visiting family and we wanted pizza on a Friday night. Pizza was delicious! We ordered pepperoni with mushrooms on half and banana peppers on the other half. Our two teenagers wanted the Buffalo chicken. I had a little of each and both were delicious. The Buffalo wasn't too spicy but had a nice kick. My daughter isn't a pizza fan (I know, weird, right?) so she ordered the "Not-Yo-Mommas Chicken Sandwich" and loved it. The fries had kind of a spicy/sweet seasoning that made them unique and delicious. The only critique have is that I prefer fresh mushrooms to can/jar. Cool atmosphere and area to chill upstairs the downstairs is a mix of dinner seating and sports bar. Not sure about the rooftop, but I'm sure it's nice, we were there on a chilly day in February.
