Apple crumble donut.

Very quaint shop with 4 seats, definitely designed for to go treats. An eclectic selection of sweets await in the glass case as soon as you walk in. Wonderful variety of very well constructed and presented donuts for your eyes to explore and your stomach to urgently desire. We went with the apple crisp and it was delicious. Wonderful pastry surrounding a core of apple with perfect balance. Lovely shop with friendly staff and great selection. Very much worth the stop and the indulgence.

Looking for dessert or a pick me up in Dublin? Rolling Donut will not disappoint! Seriously, rows & rows of different donuts. I got the red velvet & it was chefs kiss. They have plenty to choose from so don't worry, you'll find something you like! Order at the glass case of donuts & you'll be on your way. Very limited seating so not the best for large groups but they do have tables for 2.

Okay, so this is the oldest donut shop in Ireland birthed by the original guy; however, this is not his original donut shop location. The actual location is on Lower O'Connell street and they offer only three flavors/kinds. This place has many different flavors of donuts and deals primarily in traditional Irish donuts or a version of such. What's a traditional Irish donut? It's a yeasty donut that is made with sourdough and filled with some sort of jam or cream. The donut has a more dense less airy quality than an American donut but it isn't too heavy on the stomach. The filling is more of a jam consistency than jelly or if cream-filled, it's more creamy and light than thick. We enjoyed traditional Irish sourdough red velvet, raspberry, and blueberry donuts, each being better than the last. My overall favorite, however, was the raspberry. My son is not down with the filled donuts so he enjoyed a non-filled, unicorn themed donut. Overall, out of the three donut places we've tried in Dublin this is our favorite. It's perfect for a dessert or just a quick, anytime of the day treat. No matter your taste in donut, they can accommodate. Enjoy!

These donuts were beautiful and tasty to boot! The staff was super friendly as well as we had so many options it was hard to pick. I had the chocolate orange and my hubs the Oreo. Delectable!

Came here as a mate said he wanted donuts, was not left disappointed! I ordered an apple donut for about €3.50. For a gourmet donut this price was very reasonable. But when I bit into it, I found a lovely surprise. The filling was actually spiced apple chunks, which tasted delicious. At his donut was probably filled to the brim with this custard and it was delicious, definitely well crafted and worth more than every penny. The service was quick and polite to me, my mates, and the other patrons. Quick and reliable service that made the experience even better. The ambiance of the restaurant was so great, even though there was little place to sit. Def a "to-go" establishment, but very clean and provided a lovely atmosphere!

Walked past The Rolling Donut and KNEW I had to stop to grab a sweet treat! I stopped by midafternoon and they still had quite a few donut options available. They said they are normally open till 9pm or when they sell out. They had a lot of fun choices in regular donuts and vegan donuts! I asked a worker which she recommended and she said the Kinder Deluxe (milk chocolate & white chocolate) were their best sellers; sold! The donut has a sourdough base with hazelnut cream filling and chocolate on top. I ate my donut the next morning and it was still soft! The chocolate frosting was just light enough and hazelnut filling was lighter than I was expecting. Loved happening upon this spot and am already craving anither donut!

While in Dublin, we were looking for a quick donut spot before we headed out. Rolling Donut was super close and in one of the shopping areas of Dublin. Their prices were really good compared to other donut shops not only in Ireland but in the US and they had SO MANY FLAVORS. It was honestly very difficult to decide. My husband, being the plain Jane he is, got a glazed, and I opted for the Apple. It was very good and when they fill those donuts, they are very much filled. Great flavor, soft, and ultimately delicious.

I'm not a huge donut offender, but man, when there is one that's worth having, you freaking know it. And the Rolling Donut was that place. We got there before 9am and they were so so fresh! My salted caramel one was so freaking good. They even have a coffee and donut combo. Love! Perfect treat to start our day before touring Dublin.

They have a ton of different donuts here but mine looked better than it tasted. I got the white chocolate raspberry and my donut itself was sort of dry! The chocolate on top was hard and didn't go that well together. My sister got the lemon poppyseed one and it tasted delicious! A lot of variety here but when so many donuts are on display I question how fresh they really are.

Red velvet. Wasn't good.....

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

When we're traveling, we typically try to only go to any business once…read more Why? So much to see! So much food to try! We broke this rule with The Bald Barista. It was just that good. The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.
