Definitely the go-to for lunch on Thursdays! On a sunny day it's great to grab some food and go…read moreacross the street to Iveagh Gardens. I haven't tried everything here yet but I do love the Paella, the Indian was good but nothing special. You'll always see a line for Paella, but it's always worth it. Big portion, great price, I always end up having leftovers for dinner. It opens at 12 and it's best to be there right when they open, the first batch of Paella is always the best. Although it's always made fresh, I always feel like there is more chicken & chourizo in the first batches, then they tend to skimp and you'll get mostly rice, which feels like a cheat. Looking forward to trying the rest of the places, though I have to get burnt out on the Paella first and that will be hard, it's just so good! Closer to the entrance is also table with sweets, everything there is delicious so save room for dessert!

My favourites food stands here are The Paella Guys and Lebanese House. The paella stand also does lamb meatballs and they even have the option to have half and half. All dishes are 8 EUR, which is good value. You will be stuffed with the amount they give you. Lebanese House does Koftas, but I go for the falafel wrap. For 5 EUR are filling and very tasty. I've not tried many of the other food stands here lately, so cannot comment on them. But you can get a good idea of what stands are popular by their queues. It's great to get your food here and then go over to the Iveagh Gardens to eat your lunch. Recommended.

Only a few blocks away from my hotel stood this gem of a donut shop. I knew immediately I wanted to try the Lemon Poppyseed and I also tried the Vanilla Glaze Pistachio flavor. Both were phenomenal!!! Each bite tasted like a piece of home. Honestly, The Rolling Donut reminds me of Dough in NYC and Brooklyn, my favorite donut spot. Sadly, I did not have an opportunity to go back and try the red velvet donut (with cheesecake filling). But whenever I go to Dublin again, this place will likely be my second stop! 5 stars well deserved.

I dropped by the Rolling Donut on my last day in Dublin. The store is very small and cute, with a majority of the space taken up by the long glass display, which houses their large selection of beautifully decorated donuts. After browsing over the different flavors, the attentive donutarian bagged my order of a single Lemon Poppyseed donut. While on layover in Frankfurt, I finally decided to roll into the lemon poppyseed donutiness... The donut was OK, it had a bready texture, which made sense, because it was a sourdough donut. The glaze on top of the donut was really thick, and it wasn't overly sweet to my taste buds. The glaze also had a light lemon flavor that provided some tartness, and just a few poppy seeds on top. As my friend had mentioned, their donuts are kind of big and filling for one person to eat alone, so I would definitely recommend sharing the love! (and calories)
