    Cookies...
    John C.

I was a bit spurious when I heard that a Cookie company selling Cookies and milk was opening on Thomas Street. A pack of wild children once told us that our dog was 'the ugliest dog they had ever seen' whilst freewheeling bravely through the favelas of this old time Dubschool neighbourhood. I had visions of these Sons and Daughters of Anarchy terrorising the kind and gentle staff and nicking biscuits until the shutters dropped for the final time if im honest. Since its been here for a while my imagination may have been overreaching here....just a little. The coffee is very nice, the cookies could be said to be small but they are infact the correct size and you can buy 1 for €1 or 3 for €2.50. You can buy 33 for €25 or 60 for €45 if you have just been jilted by your lover and need to carb console yourself through a rough weekend! They also do a selection of Milks for €2 to €2.50 flavours include Coffee, Chocolate, almond with honey and vanilla or regular plain moo juice. The bottles they come in are pretty nice and they come with a straw that looks like it was plucked straight from a red and white barbershop pole. This alone gets brownie points from me, even though there are no brownies in sight the cookies are da bomb! The place is quite relaxing to sit it and sip n' chew. They do a flourless Macaroon which is totally amazing. They even do a carrot cake sandwich type cookie. The staff are very friendly - hopefully their business goes from strength to strength because its a lovely little set up they have going here. As for the dog he has recovered well from his experience of being judged solely on his looks, as with most things its whats on the inside that counts so dont be put off by the fact that you may have to stroll by a couple of scaldies to come to the Dublin Cookie Co, once you are inside its pure mindfulness.

Wait whaaaat, a café fully dedicated to cookies? That's very niche, me thinks. How many cookies can an average person eat? Well, turns out, quite a lot if they are as good as the ones you get here. My favourite has to be the cookie sandwich which is basically two cookies filled with a frosting type of thing. I had the carrot cake cookie sandwich the other day and it was delish. Not too sweet, the perfect crunch and nice filling. Add a coffee and you have a great little afternoon treat. The only downside is the price: 1 Euro for 1 cookie or 2.50Euro for a cookie sandwich. They aren't overly big so I think that's a bit pricey but on the other hand it is cheaper than a muffin or a piece of cake anywhere else. The best deal is to get 200cookies for 146Euro which means you have enough money left to join the gym.

    Salted caramel cookie with milk

I was so excited to hear about a cookie specialised shop in my neighbourhood. And I decide to go there after a bad sleep at night, hoping to find something satisfy my soul, but I was not that satisfied. The interior of the shop is cozy, there are wood benches that you can sit and enjoy your snack. For the cookies, they are the type of thin, crunchy ones, I had the salted caramel cookie (€1) which tastes nice. But I think they can make it more attractive to people. For drink, I got a bottle of milk for €2.5. I wouldn't pay that for just milk next time, perhaps milk with flavors or coffee will worth more the price.

OUT OF THIS WORLD cookies!!! Tastes just like Mom's warm cookies after you get home from school- but better! Owners Jenny & Elaine are wonderful!

    Spoiled milk

Great cookies but upon delivery we were given four month old spoiled milk so that was a bit disappointing

Got these delivered by Delivero. Had 3 types of cookie sandwiches. I would not call them cookie as they are too on the soft cake-y side. They had no crunch at all . However that is my personal opinion as you might like soft cookies! On the other hand flavor profile is spot on. Their milk is so yummy i wanted more. Give their cookie a try and see what you think!

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.
