Seeeeriooously good coffee and cakes. The best in a mile, no doubt. And I say this as a picky espresso drinker and a sweet treats enthusiast, so I wouldn't throw them a five star review for nothing. I don't care for lattes or whatever - diluted coffee scoff scoff -, but that espresso they serve, it'll keep me coming back for sure. And the cakes... They actually know how to make them flavourful and NOT dry - a major peeve of mine with pastries and cakes in Dublin. They also make bigger cakes to order, I can only imagine they're worth every euro going for what you can sample there. I know I'm merely waiting for a good excuse to get one! Everything's served in take away cups/bags, but if you can find a seat in the teeny space in front of the counter, you'll be more than welcome to stay and enjoy whatever you're having there. It's not really a place to hang around with friends for long, but don't let that stop you, it's perfect for a more casual or quick coffee. Also a good option for lunch, especially if you're just in for a take away or not with a big group. Nice vegetarian options too! In summary, it's a nice little bakery and café, with delicious treats and perfect coffee, that manages to be quiet and cheerful in equal measure.

Whopper little coffee spot! Cool atmosphere, friendly staff and good prices. Coffee served at a drinkable temperature too, which is important! Only had the brownie but all of the food looked great. The brownie itself was ridiculous, too nice in fact.

Yay what a little gem this cakery is on Capel Street. The owner Caryna told our little yelp group the story behind her little business. It's named after her Italian Fathers' family that ran a business in Italy and you can see the love that goes into every little cake. I got to taste a bit of carrot cake which was melt in the mouth. There doesn't seem to be a lot of space for sitting around and I haven't tried the coffee yet but I will definitely try it when I am again in the area.

It's small and it's pretty and they've got cake- yay! Everything looked lovely so I couldn't make up my mind and went for a slice of espresso cheese cake AND raspberry and dark chocolate brownie. The brownie was delish, the cheesecake sadly wasn't. The sit-in area doesn't took too appealing to me, just because I don't like bar stools unless I'm in a bar. They are just so uncomfortable for eating. I haven't tried their coffee yet but will surely return to do so and have another one of those fabulously rich brownies.

Lemon raspberry 2-layer cake - Absolutely delicious!

Still haven't been to the store (but will be visiting VERY soon!). I ordered a birthday cake for my husbands 30th from Camerino and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! All of our guests were asking where i had gotten it from, and my husband (who is a bit picky when it comes to cakes) absolutely loved it! Prices are great, and the presentation was wonderful. I won't be going anywhere else for cakes while in Dublin. HIGHLY recommended!

I finally came here and so now I can review it! From the outside the place looked really cute with all the cakes in the window, and although the inside is very small with only 4 or 5 stools, they have a lot of nice looking inviting desserts and some great coffee! Roasted brown cater for the coffee here and it tastes really good, plus it's also quite cheap; I paid only 2.20 EUR for an Americano and a brew is only 2 EUR, but I had went around 4pm so they run out of that. I wasn't aware that they do custom cakes for things like birthdays etc. but they had the menu on the wall, although there wasn't an option for a photo cake so I'm not to sure if they do those. The food menu had more than expected for such a tiny place in that besides sandwiches and desserts, they also have a few hot dishes baked fish, soup and also salad on the menu. The staff are very friendly, and the decor inside is also very quirky and cool. The only negative thing was the space. I don't like bar-stool type seating and personally prefer to sit at a table, and also the place is indeed quite cramped to think it's more of a take away place rather than sit in. But for great coffee and a selection of cakes and desserts that are reasonably priced, I would recommend it but more so for a take away than to sit in and relax. Overall: Coffee: 5/5- Great tasting and cheap! Service: 4.5/5- Great Seating: 1/5- uncomfortable and cramped Variety: 4/5- sweets tooth's welcome!

Had a little visit here early in the week, Had not heard anything about the place before bar that it was newly opened. To start it's a really really gorgeous space, really inviting and very pretty. The have the place stuffed to the gills! With tempting tasty treats and on the morning I went some free cheese cake by the till which I may or may not have eatin my fair share of. And bought a slice for the road. The staff were all nice and friendly too. Of course I expected everything to be delicious, which it was but what I did not expect to be amazing was the coffee . Not that I thought it would be terrible! But it was really good!! They do it right! And it was fab. I can see myself visiting many times as there are just so many tasty little treats to sample

Best brownies ever!!

Such a gorgeous bakery! It's way too tempting to stop here on the way home from work.. the carrot cake, the brownies, the cheesecake..all of the cakey goodness! And if you manage to stave off the midweek cravings - the perfect way to start your Saturday! (If only they opened on Sundays!)

How come i haven't been there before!! Its lovely, and it smells baked bread and cakes. Very cosy and warm and you can see some of the staff making and preparing food infront of you. The baked treats look amazing and its very hard to avoid it. Coffee is fantastic too. Glad I walked by the street today other wise I wouldn't know about it.

Perfect little spot for a coffee. Had the best flat white I've had in a long time and a delicious peanut butter chocolate brownie with my son. We had plenty of space and felt welcome. They do wedding cakes as well apparently; there was a couple having a tasting. Wish I got to try everything! Was hoping to try a doughnut. Maybe next time.

When we're traveling, we typically try to only go to any business once…read more Why? So much to see! So much food to try! We broke this rule with The Bald Barista. It was just that good. The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.

Ambience: Fun, funky, hippie, artistic and lively, with a little local health food grocery within the premises, as well as kitchen and cafe. Great people-watching, both within and outside the many large windows. Comfy, homey furnishings and an airy large space. Food: EXCELLENT. Local, sustainable, healthy, creative, and DELICIOUS. We had the Banh mi on fresh baked bread that was to die for -- perfectly spiced, with each bite savory, sweet, crunchy, fresh, rich. The coffee was terrific, too! And there were so, so many astonishing fresh-baked things available... serious temptation for the two diabetics on holiday! Service: Our server really went out of her way to make certain we were comfortable and well taken care of. She was bright, friendly, communicative, and quite helpful to two strangers who'd just arrived in Ireland! Value: Remarkably low price for such high-quality food! Wait time: None. We were seated immediately at a spacious table in a window space filled with morning sun. Other: Great family of people here, creating a community space for locals and a great welcome for visitors.
