Went there on a Sunday night to have a cold beer after a days work, got charged 30$ for a 8 dollar small pitcher of beer by one of the bartenders. She was on her phone constantly and couldn't even bother to close me out cause she was watching tik tok ‍ wouldn't have found out if I didn't check my bank statements. Got the charge disputed and the local police are looking into the matter! Be careful at this shitty bar! read more

I grew up in Ogden and visit family there a couple of times a year. I don't hang out in bars much anymore, not that I have anything against it I'm just too busy doing other things. But, whenever I'm in town I make a point of going to the Rock Bottom for the fish sandwich! You won't find a better one anywhere. It is just perfect. read more

Complete Dive bar, the beer is cold and the food is good. What more could you want in a place

I didn't come into Rock Bottom with the highest expectations. We just wanted some quick rounds, was ready to spend money and be in and out with a slight buzz. I walked in and it was what I thought it would be. A smaller, local friendly dive bar with old regulars, a funny smell and cheap drinks! All good. We ordered two shots and two mix drinks. They come fairly soon soon, within 5 mins we were able to cheers. To my surprise i was served a mixed shot with broken glass, and broken glass was in my mouth after taking it, i pulled it out with my fingers and it cut into two of my fingers and blood was running down right away. STILL i was willing to look past this and stay for another few rounds. I handed the bartender the glass and said be careful it cut my hand open. She said sorry but didn't act apologetic or surprised. I returned to my seat where we sipped our mix drinks and waited and waited and waited and watched the two bartenders smoke vape and stand behind the bar and look at our remaining empty glasses over 20 times without serving us. This bar has to be the most judgmental clickish bar I have ever been to. It doesn't matter how much money you spend or who you bring in if the judgmental owners and the overly sensitive bartenders get their feelings hurt you won't be welcomed. Being an adult a relationship between a bartender there named Robert and I ended things and all the sudden I wasn't welcomed there. I spent $200 a week didn't cause shit for problems but the owner insisted on making it personal rather than business. Grow up!! The owners need to learn to manage their bar and control their employees. If they don't need $200 plus a week good for them but learn to make shit about business not personal. So unprofessional and disrespectful. Go over to Dars drinks are better bartenders and owners are nicer. Run a business Rock Bottom not a popularity contest . read more

We wanted to go to The Old Man Saloon because we heard they were closing down and that it was a great place. We got there and it was already closed. Bummer... It was about 1pm. This was for lunch. We were now in the mood to go to neighborhood bar type place. We ended up here. We were glad we did! I feel bad I can't remember the bartender's name, but she is the nicest person we've met in awhile! Through out our experience she was wonderful. So was the guy who brought out the food. The food was excellent as well. I don't remember a fresher salad anywhere!! Seriously, the lettuce was the crispest I can remember. My wife had a larger salad with Chicken Noodle Soup. Hers was great. I had fish and chips. Again, great. Everything they make is cooked fresh to order. It's obvious nothing it mass produced or purchased and stored forever. They have a different special daily. We had margaritas and while they were okay, they were Utah variety. I'll leave it at that. I absolutely enjoyed this place and will definitely look forward to the next time I/we go back. Tentatively it's planned for every other week! read more

I love when bars and restaurants convert houses into places of business. SO MUCH. So when I arrived at The Rock Bottom Lounge yesterday evening, I knew right away that it was the place for me. It was Tuesday night, and therefore a little quiet, but Jessie was bartending and engaged my friend and me in some interesting conversation, and there were several regulars present -- one of whom bought the house several rounds. There is a pool table and a jukebox, and signs posted stated that on Wednesdays, The Rock Bottom sells 75 cent wings! Drinks are CHEAP. I bought three and my total was still under $10. The Rock Bottom Lounge is a great place! If I were an Ogden local, I would come back all the time. read more

Perfect dive bar... I haven't tried the food and some bartenders are a little icy but.. perfect place to get drinks and a good mix of people. If you want a dive bar , go here. If you want something more- like a trendy gastropub with guys in north face coats go downtown somewhere. read more

The Rock Bottom is a mix between dive bar, biker bar, pool lounge, & sports bar I would say. The Rock is on Washington a block south of 5 points shopping center. On the bottom level is the kitchen & a nice size flat screen to enjoy sports. The bottom seems better for large groups but everyone usually congregates to the top. Upstairs are 3 recently upgraded flat screen TV's. We are regulars on Sunday since they have NFL Ticket & 50 cent wings. There are also two pool tables, an internet juke box, & Golden Tee video game. The Rock is known as having the coldest beer in Utah and I think you would be hard pressed to beat them on that claim. There is a giant meat locker sized freezer that houses the wide selection of beer. They have a few good choices on tap and many more in bottle. One of the few places I seen that stocks Olympia just because a regular requested it. They now also make mixed drinks but it is predominantly a beer bar. The reason "The Rock" gets 5 stars from me is that it is just a great hometown bar. For me it is the Ogden version of Cheers. There are mostly regulars in there and it is a mix of young & old, rock & rap, biker & broski. They have great little touches like having to donate a dollar to be taped on the wall for knocking a ball off the pool table or a bell if you ring you owe the house a round. They recently added a theater style popcorn machine that goes great when you are enjoying some cold ass beer. All the bartenders are usually on top of things and very friendly. They have pretty food as well including breakfast anytime, burgers, cheesesteak, tacos, and lots of fried appetizers. A half order of nachos is the biggest damn portion size I have ever seen and is only $4! The breakfast made by Jessica is to die for so stop in on Sunday morning for the hangover cure.
