The service was great. Nathan and his crew were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The place was clean. My pictures did not do it justice as the artwork and other decor made the surroundings have a real warm and intimate feeling, just the right place to take some good company. The midnight cocoa martinis were divine, providing a sweet and delicate taste accompanied by some ofher good stuff =P The Arugula - Prosciutto Pizzeta was a great snack paired along with the focaccia bread and olive oil to supplement our drinks. I'm super pumped to have a late night cocktail bar in this area. Looking forward to my next visit to try other items on the menu!

So thrilled to stumble on this place after going to Ava's and the farmers market. Stopped in for brunch. The biscuits and gravy are absolutely delicious. The 2nd best in the country next to Pine State Biscuits. That is saying something. Can't wait to come at night for their coffee and booze drinks. The ambiance is very interesting.

Amazing atmosphere! Drinks are unique and very well done! Wish we lived closer, we'd be here every weekend. Need to come back and try the lattes!

First, let me say, I'm a HUGE Ava Roastria fan! Love the business, the staff, and the owner (Amy). This is their new venture. They have taken their old roaster business, and now made it in to a cocktail place where you can now get some little nosh food, and drinks. The drink are infused with their coffee, cold brew, etc. Great atmosphere. Cool vibe, with the right amount of lightning. Staff is knowledgeable and ready to serve. At this point, they've only been open for a couple of weeks, but man.. this place will be packed come summer time. So, get in before it's tough to get in. I've attached their drink menu. I tried the Cold Brew old-fashioned which was awesome! I love old fashioned, but with the light infusion of cold brew taste, it took it to the next level. Then, I tried the Cold Brew Lager... delicious. Great sipping beer where the cold brew doesn't over power the beer, but adds some great notes. Overall, like Arnold Schwarzenegger said "I'll be back".

I've tried less of the food than the mocktails, but the Mac and cheese served fajita style on a hot plate was quite good. I also like the casual atmosphere and the willingness of the staff to go with the flow.

This I'd say, is a fantastic little hang out! Here's the 411 on The 649:…read more * Parking Situation * Although the location of The 649 is just "where the F" (eye-roller). Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

There's seating on two floors, however, even on Thursday night it was packed, so definitely make sure to secure a reservation. I got the passion fruit lime soda to drink, which was sour and refreshing. The burrata came with fruity chutneys and chili crisp. These sauces created a nice spicy, tangy, and salty flavor profile. The garlic naan that came with the burrata was a bit too toasted for my liking. For my main, I got the ricotta gnocchi. It was incredible. The chanterelles on top were delicious. I loved the bourguignon sauce as it had a strong umami flavor. The gnocchi itself was soft and pillowy. Overall the dish was indulgent and robust in flavor.

I've worked through most of the menu, and every single dish lands. I kept expecting at least one to miss, but it never did. I'm not usually a seafood person, but their fish tacos and Ahi Poke nachos completely changed my mind. If seafood always tasted like that, I'd order it every time. The deviled eggs might be my all-time favorite appetizer. The steak bites are perfectly cooked and tender, and the white cheddar onion dip is rich, savory, and hard to stop eating. What really puts it over the top is the experience. The owner is incredibly welcoming, the staff is attentive without hovering, and the whole place has an elevated but relaxed energy. With the live DJ, it feels like the perfect spot for a date night or a fun night out with friends. If you're deciding where to go next, put this at the top of your list. Can't wait to go back!
