We keep coming back. Last week's special burger was PB&J it was amazing. We'll be back.

First of all the good thing: Great draft beer selection and a good wine BTG. None of this crap that some a liquor purveyor says; "Here pour this. It is only $3-4 a bottle and sucks but in the Northwest Suburbs, these peons don't know good wine" The bad things: You chicken tacos are bland. Very bland. Smoked chicken doesn't matter nor does it add a lot of flavor. Let me say it again, the chicken tacos are bland! Try some salt or pepper or at least smoke them with a nice marinade or rub. Cut back on the accompaniments that come on the tacos because you will soon be known as a taco that is all fixings and hardly any meat. I enjoyed the Snapper tacos as they had a good flavor to them. You are a taco and burger place and yet you don't offer them at a discount during happy hour? What part of happy hour promotion don't you get? I can go down the road to place that offer a much bigger selection of happy hour food items that I do know are also homemade so convince me why I should come to your place. Same as your Bricks. Same old happy hour items get boring real quick and we are going to get real bored with Bluzys real soon. Whoopee, you offer $1 off of homemade fries. Not a big deal or great promotion. $5 nachos for nachos that are not worth $2 to start with. These are so very blah. Have any of your cooking staff heard of salt or pepper? I have talked with your chef and know his credentials from talking to him so let him see this and make the changes because I am not the only one saying that their are problems with some food items. The $2 off of taps is a good idea but you are WAY to high on your tap prices to begin with. I get the restaurant markup but why don't you just bend us over a chair and put a gun to the back of our head because that would be less of a robbery than you are doing right now. And what the hell is it with you and Millstream? Their Schild Brau Amber and Backroad Stout are not good and there are so many other better Amber and Stouts to be had. Do you have stock in that brewery or are you hoodwinked by the beer distributor? The $3 rails are a good promotion but now that you have us here drinking we want a good deal on burgers and tacos. Why the heck aren't you offering a deal on those. Again, cut back on the beer prices. Holy Christ on a Cracker, these are outrageous! This is Blaine and not Minneapolis Make sure that your bartenders are paying attention to all of the bar and not just a select few. I shouldn't be sitting there trying to order a beer and have the bartender not have their head on a swivel. Always be looking around and at least let me know that you see me if you are busy with another customer read more

Like the other reviewers we are glad to see new businesses open in our area. Knowing the owners of Bluzy's also owns T-Box and Brick's we had high hopes. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be heading back to Bluzy's. First off, ambiance. It's loud in there, so conversation is a challenge. It's not really a place for a family to eat. Also, the entry way, where people who are waiting for a table hang out, is too small. This forces people to stand between the bar and booths while they wait. We hate the feeling of people watching us and standing around you while you eat. Also, the booths are too small for 4 normal sized people, so get a table if you have more than 2 people. Drinks-- they have a good wide selection of beer. This is a plus for them. And their mixed drinks are cheap. $3 for my wife's vodka tonic, and they use Svedka Vodka, so not cheap stuff. But both her drinks were very weak. My Jack and Coke was $5, and was alright in terms if strength. Food-- my wife's shredded pork tacos were good, but she also ordered chips and salsa on the side ($3, which places like your typical Mexican restaurant provides or free) and a $2 "dab" of guacamole. You know, those little cups they bring ketchup in? Yeah, $2 for that. WAY overpriced. I ordered the French Onion burger and while it was good I didn't realize that when the menu says "your choice of lettuce, tomato and special sauce" it means you have to ask separately to get those things. At the very least the waitress could have asked if I wanted them. Also, when I pay $9 for a burger I expect to be very full afterwards. I was not. And, the bun was soggy with grease. Toast the buns, guys. Finally, I had to order fries separately for $2. Again, for $9 you could include some fries. I'm sure the outdoor seating will be nice when it opens next spring. And the bocce ball courts will be fun too. But we compare each place we visit to Tavern Grill. Tavern is a favorite that we go to about once a month, and on special occasions. Bluzy's is no Tavern. It's just...."okay". Comparing it to the other locations owned by the same people we've said no to Bluzy's again, and T-Box has great food, but is just too expensive for a family. The food was good, expensive for the portion size. The tacos were very good and the burgers and sandwiches were good. But they did not come with fries. The portion of fries we ordered was very small and lots of small bits and pieces on the bottom. The omelet was very small and did not come with toast or anything else. Everything, including the omelet was served in a paper "hotdog" basket. We ate the tacos off the servining tray as they were soaking through the paper. Too bad - hope they improve because it is a very fun looking place! Serving sizes just too small for the price and don't serve good food in a paper basket please!! read more

We didn't have high expectations when we came in. We were greeted right away, seated quickly, waiters was friendly. She was very proud to brag that all the good was made here or she god name where it was made. Very large beer selection. Well priced. Food came quickly and hot. Food come on plates like famous Dave's. You order all sides separately. Tacos were very good. Queso dip was great. Great meat. Seating was hard but no problem. read more

Great happy hour prices. Ordered the nachos and when they arrived they looked underwhelming. HOWEVER, they were serious the best nachos my wife and I have ever had and only $5! Since we just moved here we plan on being regulars. read more

So they used to offer $2 tacos from 11am to 2pm every day except Friday and now they get rid of it? Now, when they close down their sister establishment (because the owner is moving it to a separate location) and now you get rid of the $2 lunch tacos? I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!My son ordered chicken tenders and they were so burnt that there wasn't any chicken left inside!We called the waitress over who looked at the tenders and said they look over cooked(I didn't have to say a thing)She took them back to the kitchen to only come back out WITH the SAME tenders to say the cooks said they are supposed to look like this!!WHAT??!!!WE have been there twice and they NEVER looked like that!I asked to see the manager who only got defensive about it.Another person in my party ordered a tuna melt which was still cold in the middle and to top it off the fries were cold!!! I ended up paying $50 for food we didn't eat!!!Not to mention you have to yell to each other to hear anything!! Meh. Snapper tacos were running with grease and WAY, WAY, WAY over salted. I couldn't eat it. My partner enjoyed his burger. Fries tasted burnt. Kids grilled cheese seemed like best thing we ordered. Lots of cheap cheddar - so the kid liked it. Ice tea was "nasty" per waitress. We agree. Chili cheese fries were cold. We wanted to love this place. We will come back to try brunch. I haven't eaten here in person, but we've ordered take out twice and based on that I've been impressed. We've had large orders, four adults, and the food is fast, hot and well packaged (also how I like my men...lol couldn't resist). One mistake was made, an onion ring burger instead of onion rings, but that's ok. The food is really good, my favorite overall is the house made sausages and the five chile relish. I'd like to check out the service when dining in, and I'd really like to sit on the patio! But two small kids means take out is easier. :-) I'm glad to have this addition to Blaine, we need more places like it. read more

First time here. Very loud, they could do better with sound design. Small menu. We were not told about happy hour till after we ordered. Ordered cheese curds and what we got was a very small portion for what we paid. Their burgers/chicken sandwiches are just that, no sides. They are not just $9 burger worthy, they should have included a side. Very salty! Only good thing was their beer selection . Will not be going back and won't recommend to anyone. read more

Just ate dinner... Menu is confusing, apps are super limited and everything is a la carte and very overpriced. $6.99 for a small container of mediocre cheese curds that the waitress claimed was a large enough portion for 2. Cheese curds are less $ at the fair, and better tasting. Burger looked and tasted like it had been frozen, and was super greasy. Tacos were weak (dried out tortillas, etc) and the chili cheese fries were hammered in wayyyy too much neon colored, slightly solidified cheese. Bummed, as we had high hopes and live nearby. Never again... I wish I could get a redo on dinner tonight. This is my first yelp post, but I felt like I should stay something. I almost commented to the waitress that everything was really bad. Great food and beer selection! Had the sausage sampler... Very good! Also had the fish and shrimp tacos... Some of the best in the cities - Excellent! Today was the first day of a meat raffle.. They plan on doing it every Sunday and we will be back! read more

Stopped in tonight for a taco and beer. Tried the coconut curry chicken tacos. Not bad added salsa to give it some flavor. but overall tasty. Happy Hour all day Sunday is nice. To bad waiter did not mention some items on Happy Hour food wise. read more

Great food and interesting selection. Priced right for the area. Went with the kids. Not a bad place for kids, might not be a great place. It is a bar. The service is what earned it a 4. Our server was ok. Not sure if he was new or just slow. We didn't see him that much. We had our drinks, apps and dinner picked out all before we seen the server. I find that very bad service. When we did see him he only took our drink order. Had to raise my voice to get him to come back so we could at least order our apps as well. It took about 10 mins for the drinks. After that we only seen him when he was dropping things off at our table. Almost walked out with out paying because we were done eating and couldn't find the server for 10 mins. I don't believe in walking out with out paying. I strongly feel it was just our server. We seen others that were better at caring to the customers. read more

Had their pork belly tacos. They tasted decent enough but nothing to brag about. Portions a little small. Ordered their queso dip as well and that was not so good. The service was utterly horrid. The male host was awesome, but after that, service died. It took forever to see a waitress. We both ordered drinks, and I ordered a glass of water. A long wait later, the drinks arrived...no water. I asked again for the water. Waited quite a bit, and the server returned to take our order....no water. I told her I was super thirsty, and since we weren't ready to order, would she kindly bring the water. She then waited on another table, and approximately 10 minutes later, she went to the bar and poured me a glass of water. That is completely unacceptable. Everything after that continued to be a l---o---n---g wait. However, the food was absolutely fantastic! I loved the heat in the chili and the chili in general. I had the brisket tacos which were exceptional. My husband ordered the blackened snapper tacos which were also incredible. We had a side of onion rings which would have been the best onion rings we have ever had if it wasn't for the fact that nearly half of them were vastly overcooked and too hard to bite into. Because of the food, we will definitely return, but we will absolutely request another server because the one we had put a monster pall on our evening. read more

This place is great!! Awesome selection of craft beers. We got the beef brisket tacos fully loaded and California burger and both were fantastic. Sara, our server was great! Decent burgers and beer selection, the rest is marginal. Been there a few times meeting friends and tried the onion rings (dripping with grease), had pulled pork tacos and fish tacos (lacked any flavor worth returning for or telling friends about), had the special sausage jalapeño cheese balls (ate two, threw away the rest). I stopped here for the first time and ordered the shrimp tacos. The bartender was really helpful and friendly, and suggested things to put on my tacos. AMAZING. I couldn't believe how inexpensive everything on the menu was. Bartender was attentive but not annoying. I'd definitely come back. read more

This has become my favorite restaurant. Great service and amazing food. Best burger I've had in awhile and the servers are the best around.

We really enjoyed this new place. The tap selection is marvelous and the server helpful with selection. They have beer flights also. Some of the best micro brew choices in our area. We have enjoyed some of the sandwich specials and have done the happyhour. Nachos can be ordered with any of the meat so are very flavorful and a good deal. I'm surprised to see Bluzy's only get 3 stars. We've been twice - once just after they opened, and again with friends. Our friends raved over the place. We will definitely be back again. The draft beer selection is excellent, but you have to appreciate craft beer. If you love Bud or Miller, you may not like the selection you see. But if you love craft beer you'll be very happy here. And, they'll give you a small sample to try if you aren't quite sure. The food is decent to very good. Nothing to blow you away, but nothing disgusting either. We felt the service was excellent on both visits, with food and beverages coming quickly. The overall vibe is friendly - from management to the bartender and servers. Location is convenient, parking is good. Give them a try! read more

Food is greasy and made from low quality ingredients. Clientele is classless. Employees are unorganized and confused.

I like the dark and stronger tasting beers. Had the French Onion burger to eat. No flavor on the burger and toasted bread was soggy. The fries were hot but limp. Taste more like they are baked. This is another miss for me there for food. The juicy tacos were also a miss. read more

Poor service. As a server myself, I can honestly say no excuses for how poor the service was. You shouldn't have to ask other servers to find your server (multiple times). The environment is fun but I wouldn't eat there again or recommend this place based on the service. read more

What a RIP OFF!!!!! Ordered nachos for 7.99 came with 10 chips if that. The burgers are $8.00 minimum don't come with fries that adds another $4. Ordered ICE tea and it came with 2 cubes of ice. Waited forever for service read more

One of the best places in Blaine. Great food...occasionally they 86 a featured menu item, but that is because it is a feature. I have never had a problem with the availability of items of the main menu. Bottom line good food (burgers and tacos), awesome national craft beer selection, and good service. And as it gets warmer in this frozen state...an incredible patio. read more

Great burgers and happy hour beer prices. Staff is friendly and a nice beer selection. They have pull tabs and meat raffles. The 2 small things i don't like is the umbrella for outside sitting are mostly not secured and can blow out of the table, and paying extra for fries with your burger. read more

I can't believe all of these great reviews, it's as if we were at two different restaurants. We were hoping for something unique & tasty in the area other than a chain & sadly will not be going back. It was overstaffed on a dead night, yet the service was terrible. The food was worse - rock hard toast on the outside of sandwiches & burgers, soggy tacos topped with moldy cheese and the driest chicken fingers you can imagine. You don't get plates so food is falling through the table onto your lap, we asked for napkins twice without receiving any. The patio doesn't have a designated smoking area so you're inhaling toxins while trying to eat, just awful. We very much wanted this restaurant to be successful and were quite disappointed. Crossing my fingers things improve for future patrons. read more

OMG! The Pork Belly Tacos are amazing. I also highly recommend the Mean Green Olive burger. It's spicy and so yummy! The best burger in town in my opinion. The management there has also improved immensely. The staff is on-point, knowledgable about beer and food and they're super friendly. A bitter sweet relationship with this restaurant. If I'm going to be honest, the service is very jumbled and slow. Every time I go there they only have one waitress. The manager walks around the restaurant doing absolutely nothing. On the second hand, the food is absolutely amazing! The steak is juicy, the quesadillas are cheesy, and the cheese curds are greasy. Very disappointed tonight ordered a side of onion rings and we figured it cost 1.00 per ring. These rings were small to average in size. Then ordered the shrimp tacos and these smaller than normal is size for 5.00 each. I guess they got to make up for their happy hour. Does anyone have any similar stories? read more

This might be a good place if you are coming for a drink, maybe the beer prices are good - but if you want to come for lunch I would look elsewhere. For $9-10 you get just a 1/3 pound burger - and nothing else. Yes, there might be a few things on it, but it just seems very pricey. I got the one with a few onions and blue cheese crumbles and asked for it to be medium rare, because the burgers are pretty small it's hard to get them juicy and not overcooked I guess. So for $9 I got a little paper tray with a small 1/3 pound rather dry unimpressive burger and that's it - not even chips on the side! We did order the cheese curds as well, didn't seem to get many of those for the price either, although that's pretty common to get an overpriced appetizer. But come on, for $9 at least throw some chips on there, better yet some fries. Add a drink and tax and I felt like I had not chosen my best option for lunch. read more
