We were building a new home and trying to decide what type of flooring, engineered hardwood or wood…read morelook tile, we wanted. We decided on a nice engineered hardwood. We priced the options with our builder. Our son-in-law suggested we see what a flooring contractor, Zuriel Flooring, he had used in the past could do. It turned out that Zuriel could provide the same flooring for about $6,000-$7,000 less than the builder. They also gave us an option for stained, solid hardwoods. That option was almost $10,000 less than the builder option. Zuriel's per square foot pricing was less than several well known national/local companies that we had received quotes. From the first conversation and subsequent meetings, we haven't had a better relationship with a contractor we've worked with. Zuriel delivered a high quality product sooner than they committed to finishing and were always responsive to our calls. They have been outstanding! If you are looking for new or replacement floors, you will miss out if you don't at least contact Jordan at Zuriel Flooring to see what they can do for you. Zuriel Flooring LLC +1 (469) 427-3488

The neatest difference between them and other places is that they are fabricators as well as natural stone providers so you get an upfront price including install the second you pick out your slab. They have some third-party cabinets that was intriguing as well. They even have precut sizes, which another couple of places had that again, the other places do not give you a price right away like these people do. I highly recommend them.

Cleanliness and organization usually go unnoticed, but I believe it's a great indicator of experience, and it gives you insight to what the finished product will look like. That proved to be true with Lydia and her team at Specialty. Our new hand-scraped oak floors look amazing in our newly renovated farmhouse - we chose a dark antique stain and LOVE it. They were super clean, super professional, and they are VERY experienced. On the fence about choosing wood over vinyl? Don't go with a cheap vinyl flooring product that is obviously not wood. Choose wood - Get real hardwood, and get it from Lydia and her crew at Specialty.

Before hiring me, a client of mine had his home listed with a different agent and not staged - it was on the market for 77 days. Once I took the listing over I had it staged immediately - the house had a unique layout and buyers could not see past that. In 3 days we had 2 offers! Run, don't walk, away from this company…read more About a year ago, we had a bathroom leak that affected a patch of our wood floors in the master bedroom. Johnson Custom Floors assured me that I didn't need to get brand new wood floors for the entire downstairs, we could patch the bedroom, and sand the rest of the bedroom down and stain it. I had some wear on the rest of the downstairs floors, so they said they could do a polyurethane top coat finish on the floors to make them look brand new. We had a few high traffic areas in the kitchen where the stain was coming up-- so, per their idea, they added some stain to the topcoat to blend in. We were told we would need to be out of the house for 5+ days, but they finished very quickly, and we were back in either 3 or 4 days (can't remember). Within 4 days, the top coat started bubbling and flaking off in huge chunks! My floors looked significantly worse than they did before. I immediately contacted the company, who said it "must be because of the added stain" (which was their idea), and they said they'd come out and re-do the top coat. If you've ever had any experience with re-doing floors-- you have to completely move out of your house. So, having to move my entire family out for another several days to a week (at our expense!) was LESS than desirable. Also... my floors were in decent shape before they came, and now they looked 20+ years old. I wanted the job done right the first time. Our baseboards also had a lot of stain/polyurethane on them that I had to hand scrape off myself. The bathroom ended up re-flooding, and this time caused significantly more damage to the floors (we ended up replacing the entire downstairs). We started interviewing other flooring companies, and instantly everyone was pointing out how bad of a patch job Johnson Custom Floors did in the bedroom. They didn't putty over any of the nail holes, so you could see exactly where the patch was. All in all-- very, very sloppy work. They were one of the cheapest companies that I had come out, but at the end of the day, the job wasn't done right, and I had 0 confidence in them to fix their sloppy work and perform a much larger scale job.
