I never got a solid plan, they hard-sold me high, promising we would reduce it, just to make me sign the contract. (my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. Chewy, Annabelle and Chris at the Mansfield Tx store were amazing, very helpful and tried to do what was within their job descriptions to help but, F&D policies, process and procedure are not consumer friendly, not consistent with what is stated, promoted on their website consistentl. To make a king story short, they found the "discontinued" flooring in three (3) different states, $450.00 for the flooring, and shipped BECAUSE THEY DON'T SHIP... charged $450 per store for over $1,200.00 for Shipping. Highway robbery and raping their customer. I ONLY did so to save time. However, I still need flooring for four (4) other rooms and F&D manager would rather loose money, approximately $2,000 or more in sales, than expense the freight. Hell, they didn't bother to send the product back to main warehouse to ship to a store. Want that money... bottom line, they lost money. The last homeowner had a cheap toilet installed, which created more problems than expected. Jake was fantastic throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain my options, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what I was paying for rather than just pushing me toward the most expensive solution. What really impressed me was that Jake worked the cost of the work they had already completed into the replacement toilet, which saved me a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, that's where it ended. Our original installation date was set for mid-August and it's still incomplete in mid-October! After our shower was finally replaced but still incomplete, I found our stone shelf was cracked. It looks like the shelf isn't flat and the weight of the glass cracked it. The last I heard from Rash who organizes the supplies and scheduling was October 4th at 4:16 in which he told me the stone is estimated to arrive Wednesday [Oct 7th] and he told me he would call to schedule the re-installation. 11 days later, silence. I'm also waiting for the caulking to be finished around the base of the shower which the second installation man told me he would contact me to finish it since he didn't have a matching color from the first installation day. That was September 19th when I last heard from him too. The other issues: two rescheduled installation days due to the measurements being wrong and then supplies being late both times (they had to reordered because of the measurements). So that's 2 days I missed work (and I don't have benefits). Rash tried to provide a discount, which was nice of him, but it still didn't fix or make up for the communication issues and didn't fully cover the 2 lost days of pay. The miscommunication and lack of follow up is unreal. That alone makes this a 2 star experience.

Excellent communication, beginning with their response to my initial request for information and throughout the whole project. The project manager and even the owner were available to respond to questions seven days a week. At the end of every day they provided a progress report along with what to expect the following day. They made regular visits to my house to inspect the work in progress. Even after completion of the project they stayed in touch to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. All the workers were courteous and professional. Each day they carefully cleaned the work and adjacent areas. At the end of the project a housecleaning service thoroughly cleaned and touched up. It amazes me how other companies and individuals didn't respond to my inquiries or ghosted me after promising to provide a quote. Importantly, ICO is local with brick and mortar offices in the metroplex.
