I accidentally placed a order here and it was the wrong location. I gave them a call to let them know and apologized serval times and the lady on the phone was not only rude and cutting me off while speaking she hung up in my face. read more

For years every time I've gone here there was no one inside and no other orders being made, I wondered how business could be so slow when I loved their fried rice. I see negative reviews for them all the time, and I'll be honest, it's okay. But for something close by it was convenient when you have a craving. But they don't abide by their own hours, or answer the phone. Numerous times have I driven up there to locked doors when it clearly says open online. Today I called twice before driving up there again, just for someone to pick up the phone to immediately hang up. It was mediocre at best but they were always sweet when I'd come in, I felt like I wanted to help keep them in business but I'm not sure they want to be. read more

I love the food here. It's delicious. My favorite is the chicken fried rice. Every time I go one of the ladies offer to cook me noodles she's so sweet. read more

Highly recommend! Ordered online and was ready as times estimated online. Lady was very sweet and greeted my husband. Food was hot and steamy! Flavor is a 10/10!! Loved the lo mein chicken and beef fried rice! Ordered the sweet and sour chicken and was perfect! Orange chicken was very tangy my husband loved that it had orange real flavor and peels. Everything was fresh. We will be back!! read more

The Rice Pot - Chinese Near Me - Crossroads, Texas

Worst, worst, worst service ever! Messed up the order, but would not take responsibility for it. I ordered Seafood delight, but was sent shrimp with veggies. When I asked about it, I was told that is how it comes. However, on the menu, as plain as day, it is supposed to have scallops, crabmeat, shrimp and veggies. Also ordered Shrimp Fried Rice with No Carrots, but got Shrimp Lo Mein with Carrots, and when I called that out, was told that I ordered it that way. Smh....I'm done....will not order from here again. Part of giving good service is owning what you do and don't do. They obviously believe that no one reads the reviews. read more

Food is bad tasting not fresh the sauce is dry the meat is cooked to crispy. And the rice is prepared incorrectly. The service is short and rude. and The ambiance is quite scary. Stay away. read more

Food is delicious and service is nice. We are very like this location and the food are very tasty and the service is very nice.

I only ordered here in the strength of the quality of the location that used to be in Lewisville. They are miles apart in quality of food. So first it took 2 hours to get my Grubhub the lady told me it left the store 1.5 hours ago I tracked my delivery person he was posted down the block for over a hour. I get my food my combo fried rice is trash not a hint of garlic or anything the "beef" is mostly grizzle and it has an off taste the general tso is super mid . I'd rather eat mall Chinese over this . I will not be returning and the low reviews are warranted . read more

This was the worst experience with The Rice Pot that I have ever had! Ordered the Seafood Delight and it arrived with Shrimp and vegetables on ly....smh! Order the Egg Drop soup, tasted like dish water with eggs in it. Could not eat it! WTW!!!!!!!!! read more

It was good as always. Food was fresh and hot and plenty of it to last for two meals. And the people that work there are always friends and eager to help read more

I love coming here, shes so accommodating with making me vegetarian food all the time. food isnt insane but its good and quick :-)

What's more annoying than a person on their phone watching videos or on speakerphone? The whole meal the lady working (assuming owner) watched some show on her phone at max volume This place used to be awesome and with visits like this and the food costs going up and lunch specials disappearing. Time to find a new spot that at least respects customers having a quiet lunch read more

Its hard to mess up fried rice but this was probably the blandest/flavorless fried rice I've ever had. It was more like brown rice with no seasoning. The shrimp and chicken was good but the steak was super chewy. It will not be my go to place for combo fried rice. read more

No one in my family liked their order. First and last visit. Not huge Asian food fan but this no good.

The Rice Pot caught me by surprise at how good it is. Unbeknownst to me, there's several RP locations throughout DFW. The Cross Roads location was my first visit and the food was great! read more

The Rice Pot - Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. Nom - Chinese Near Me - Crossroads, Texas

Ordered chicken chow mein and repeated the order multiple times because I saw a sign that said "mgmt not responsible for wrong orders, we repeat and confirm multiple times." That should have been my red flag. The next red flag is this place was dead and not a soul in sight on a Saturday dinner rush. Well, got my order and it was of course wrong; chicken lo mein, and with construction and 380 traffic, it wasn't even worth the 30 minutes to go replace it. Tried to eat the lo mein and it is barely edible and the chicken is suspicious. Avoid or eat at your own peril-- I'm never going back myself. read more

Worst, I mean the worst place we have ever been to. From the appearance of the restaurant to the customer service or lack there of and reheated food from lunch. Everything had so much garlic that it was all you could taste. The wonton soup literally had no wonton in it which was soy sauce and water. The meat was so dry and what vegetables we did get seemed like they were three days old. We will never ever be back to this place. read more

The Rice Pot - Worst beef Lo mein we have ever had. Should have called it garlic noodles with three day old vegetables and dehydrated beef. - Chinese Near Me - Crossroads, Texas

New chef started 1 month ago and the food has DRASTICALLY CHANGED! SO DELICIOUS! Very authentic. The Chef even came out and chatted with us for a bit SERIOUSLY outstanding. read more

Simply awful... I called Rice Pot Express and order a Crab Rangoon, and Chicken Lo Mein. I wasn't told that the side of grease would be free! The Crab Rangoon was actually just burnt wontons. The wontons were a dark brown, not golden, there was very little crab, and they had a carbon flavor to them. Why anyone would serve these is beyond me. They belonged in the trash, witch is exactly where I put them. The Chicken Lo Mein came with an extra side of grease. It was all over the container, all over the bag, and it made the dish inedible, the whole dish tasted like burnt oil, so I tossed it in the garbage next to the Crab Rangoon. The Dr Pepper I ordered was the only part of the meal I enjoyed, but considering I didn't eat anything, that makes it the most expensive Dr Pepper in history at 15 dollars and some change. I would not go back, nor would I recommend it to a friend, or even an ex! read more

Best place ever. I was scared y'all were gonna close down during covid but nope. This place is amazing dude

Worst Chinese food! Large portions, but did not taste nor smell like Chinese food! Makes one wonder if the Chinese couple (owners?), taking and serving have ever tasted what they are selling or if they actually eat what they sell. I had the Combination Lomein and my husband - Happy Family. They tasted exactly the same except mine had the broken up soft lomein noodles. We ate about 1/3 of our plates and didn't think twice about NOT taking the rest home. First and last time we darken their doors! read more

We've been here 3 times. Twice ate in with kiddos. Food is amazing. Problem is if you dine inside there is a man that blasts korean/Chinese music on his phone and heaven forbid he busts out the tiktok lol it's soooooo loud. He will sit in customer seating as well. I caught him in 4K lmao read more

The Rice Pot - a person sitting at a table in a restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Crossroads, Texas

The food taste old. The customer service is terrible and they are very rude. Do not go here and waste your money. I will never go back.

Ordered sesame chicken and received sweet and sour chicken, when I went back to get my correct order they argued with me and told me I ordered sweet and sour chicken. Sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken aren't even remotely close, they refused to give me the correct order nor would they give me a refund HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOME WHERE ELSE read more

My wife had the Mongolian beef she would rate it 2.5 out of 5 the spices were about right the white rice was dry though. I had the hunan pork spice was about right. I would rate it a 3 too. Portions are large enough for two at dinner time. Price maybe about a dollar higher than I would expect. Does not make my keeper list. read more

I just moved in the area and wanted some good Chinese so i gave this place a try. The food was absolutely terrible! It taste like it came from a can or had been microwaved. read more

Went here tonight hoping to like it. When the young lady asked if I wanted cucumber in my noodles not knowing the difference between cucumber and zucchini, I should've turned around and left then. The other guy looked puzzled and said I'm sure you mean zucchini. I definitely should've just asked for my money back when I checked my food the 1st time before leaving. I ordered veggie lomein. It was mostly noodles hardly any veggies. I told them I wanted half veggies/half noodles so they remade it. Still not many veggies but gave the illusion of lots of veggies by putting more on top before closing the container instead of throughout the dish. The taste was quit lackluster. The noodles and vegetables were overcooked. I wasted $10. I will not go back here. People who like this place more than likely prefer underseasoned food and unseasoned chicken. read more

Super confused by the poor ratings. This is a wonderful take out place. We ordered delivery tonight and it was delivered within the time promised. I ordered the chicken fried rice and was impressed by how the chicken was nice and juicy. The fried rice also had been sprouts which was a nice touch. I also ordered the egg roll and it was nice and crisp. I was sad I only ordered 1. My husband got the sesame chicken and he also loved it. He felt the same as myself about the egg rolls too. I'm not sure what people are expecting when they order, because this definitely exceeded my expectations and we will be regulars for sure. read more

I almost never review places, but saw not enough stars for this place from what I just ate. Really excellent food, enough to feed me for multiple days, was extremely fresh and lava hot even by the time I made it home. Found out it's only $1.50 to deliver too. The combo lo-mein 100% hit the spot along side the hot and sour soup. Was my first time here and will not be my last. read more

0/5 stars. If you're contemplating going here, DON'T. I used to come here often for the fried rice. On my most recent visit, it was absolutely disgusting. There was no vegetables in the fried rice, just huge pieces diced onion. Do not waste your money on this place. Anywhere else will be better than here. read more

We have ordered from here for the past 3 years, very consistently. VERY.... They tend to be very busy, and it's usually not a problem, but do have phone issues on occasion. Staff is super friendly and delivery is always fast and as promised with the kindest delivery drivers! Recently, call it the past 4 months or so, the food quality, although not expected to be super high quality, has gone down hill. I order Chicken Fried Rice, each time we have ordered (weekly) it seems the chicken in this dish is old and chewy. Just disgusting. The crab rangoon is decent, but greasy and mostly fried won ton. The husband is always pleased with his order, but he will eat anything without complaint. If things change, we may start ordering again, but for now.... NEXT.... read more

Really like this place. Family owned. Great selection on the menu. The food is great and so is the service. They cover all aspects from dining in to carry out and they even deliver. Prices are very reasonable especially considering the amount of food you get. read more

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews for Rice Pot. This is not a high-class, fine dining establishment, so it shouldn't be held to those standards. It is a wonderful lunch/casual dinner restaurant. The staff is very friendly and quick. They deliver to the surrounding area. My favorite thing to order is the lunch portion of chicken fried rice with a spring roll. Super yummy. read more

Should have listened to my neighbors. This place is horrible. Edamame is over cooked and mushy Ask for veg fried rice with no mushrooms and of course there's mushrooms. Tables are filthy, and please don't touch the salt shakers...they are the grimiest thing I've ever touched. I've probably got a disease now. read more

Give it at least one thing - very large portions. The food is really lackluster. I had the Mongolian Beef. It tasted like they just had a pile of steamed beef strips and just added the sauce and onions. Boy, were there a lot of onions. It just really lacked flavor. Nothing says "we don't care" more than serving your inside customers on cheap styrofoam plates and plastic forks. It was really cheesy. Others have mentioned the space. Loud TV on the wall, a table in the corner that was used as an office desk, product stacked in another corner. It's clear the management really doesn't care. To top it off, the person taking the order acted like we were bugging her. If you don't care, your food shows that you don't care, the decor says you don't care and then you act like you don't care then I really don't care to give you my business. read more

Love this place obsessed with the potstickers, although i am pregnant and currently in tears because i drove here after work in 5pm traffic monday 4/4 and online says they are open but they are closed and i wanted potstickers so badly, great food , super fast just needs to update their hours, theres no sign on the door or anything. read more

I had stayed away from this place because of the low ratings, I wish I would have tried them sooner. Since moving to Texas I have tried dozens of Chinese Restaurants in a vain attempt to eat a dish that is common to every Chinese Restaurant in the New Orleans area. The dish is called Boneless Chicken. Basically it is Moo Goo Gai Pan with lightly breaded Chicken. The type of chicken you normally find with Gen Tso's or Sesame only with the Vegetables and Sauce you would find in a Moo Goo. You would think any restaurant worth a darn could replicate the dish from the description. Because every Chinese Restaurant I've been to has Moo Goo and Gen Tso's. How difficult is it to combine the two as I have described above. Apparently its akin to rocket science because dozens of restaurants have failed to meet my simple request. Some refused to try, some tried and failed. I had one tell me that it would not be good and they would not even try. Well the folks at Rice Pot Express got the closest. I'd say they replicated it 95% true to form. If they swapped out the Zucchini for Celery then they would have nailed it. We will be ordering from them again. I am hoping that the quality we experienced will remain consistant going forward. read more

Just had General Tso's Chicken. It was fairly tasty. Service was quick. The three crockpots behind the counter are the soups. We saw them scooping from them for to go orders continuously. I'll be back. read more

I was really skeptical after reading the bad reviews, but I was also desperately hungry and not wanting to leave the house. So glad I gave this place a try. We ordered steamed dumplings, shrimp fried rice and general Tso's chicken. Really tasty stuff folks! It was delivered nice and hot. People complained of overly greasy food, but we didn't get that at all. Chicken was fried perfectly crispy and covered with the sauce. Rice was really good with a nice amount of shrimp. Glad I gave this place a try. I'm sure that if the people with good experiences take the time to write reviews their rating would go up. Not bad at all! read more
