Not sure how I've never shared experiences at the Regent. I've probably been here a dozen or so times including one of my favorite shows with Shannon and the Clams plus Tropa Magica. Not to mention Hunx and His Punx and various artists. The Rock N Roll Flea Market is a must, a free entry event #SundayFunday. You can enjoy bottomless mimosas, eats at Prufrock Pizzeria and all the vintage fun. Regent Theater was built in 1914 and restored, reopening in 2014 with it's new additions The Love Song Bar and Prufrock. It can hold up to 1100+ people, with incredible acoustics, back bar inside the main theater, restrooms, loads of space, stellar lighting and sound. Doors open usually an hour or so before your show or event. Seeing Sophie Ellis-Bextor and so excited for it and her. Free Wi-Fi. Full bar. Full on amazing. Balcony area, not to mention VIP area for seating. We have Will Call tickets, which I can't remember the last time that happened, but excited to support this music and event venue gem that's been part of Los Angeles history, experiences and culture for over 100+ years. Parking is street, local garage with some suggestions for lots across the street. It's very walkable from other areas if for instance you're near Grand Central Market and other hubs. Check their site, posts and media for the latest updates and calendar for what's to come. Rock out at The Regent!!

The Regent Theatre has always been a cool spot for performances. Came here this past Friday for Kcamp concert and it was good! I had a good time and the venue is not bad and they have balcony and VIP area for seating. I recommend getting seating because your feet does start hurting. They have drinks and snacks that's about it. You can put your name down on the waiting list to see if no one comes for reservations to sit down, but it's $30. They are pretty good with service and accommodating. Will come back. They have parking right across the street for $25.

Great venue with quick entry. Bar in the entry as well as inside the theater. We weren't sardined in but it was a Monday. we could snake our way up. You are standing on a slant because it was an old theater, it is a bit taxing on the feet. Sound was great. we visited the bar at the entrance as well as the pizza place for a delicious slice. We parked on the corner lot for $20. May have been able to park in the street but there are a lot of homeless around.

Recently went to see Public Service Broadcasting at the Regent. It was voted a top US venue by Billboard magazine in 2024. It's a small intimate theater with a slope in GA which is nice for us short people in the. Back. They also have a second floor with chairs and tables you can eat and drink while watching the show. The sound was a bit loud on the treble side but they sold earplugs which greatly helped. Overall great venue!

Came here with a cousin this past week for the , Oct 29th for the Lucha Vavoom show and when I tell you that it was all that in a bag of chips, you can take it both literally or figuratively because both would apply! You have to step back from it and give the promoters and producers some serious credit here. This is about the best example of organized and or packaged chaos that one can imagine! Whether you were here for the wrestling, the men, or the women, you were going to walk out of here with something! In any case, I'll let a few of the videos and pictures do the talking here. A great time was had.

Great intimate venue to see your favorite artist! Loved how there was food and a bar and you could also opt to sit in the balcony area to enjoy the concert. Not a bad seat in the house (mainly bc it's mostly all standing room) but my statement still stands! Staff and security was friendly as well.

    Dogstar tonight

We got last minute tix to see a sold out show with Dogstar. The closest parking lot for $25 cash only was full, and we were directed to another one a few blocks over. It was only $10. There was a QR code on the signs by the parking spaces that you can pay online. However, it was a 2 block walk. Just be sure to follow the crowd before and after the event. We received a wrist band for over 21 and under 21. Once we walked in, there's another bar entrance to the left which I believe may serve food? But it was used to sell merch during and after the show. The restrooms were located right before the door inside. When we walked in, I was surprised at how roomy this theatre felt. It was was standing room only with no seats except for the balcony and sides. Didnt feel crowded and the room temp was comfortable. The acoustics were nice too. No frills like other historic theatres with art deco. There was also another large bar off the side. I dont know if I didnt notice this with older theatre spaces or WeHo clubs but i appreciated how the floor sloped slightly downward closer to the front of the stage which made viewing optimal even with taller folks ahead of us. So really not a bad viewing spot in the mosh pit. We could see the band members pretty close too! I would definitely come back to this theatre for another show.

Can't ever really complain about this venue. Decent drinks and i love that there's food right there. I went for my first Lucha Va Voom show which was sooo fun! Production and the staff was all in a good mood which made everything even better.

    The mezzanine

Inside is a cool venue, great sound and multiple levels (sunken down-sloping floor area, raised bar area with great line of sight, and an upstairs mezzanine). But, the outside is a an absolute war zone because of The Regent's close proximity to skid row and because of that, the parking options are super expensive or super sketchy, or both. Uber in if you can or pay the extra money for the lot across the street. Oh, and you will get worked over by a homeless person while waiting in line to get in. The security doesn't care. There's probably something they can do about it, like placing just one extra security guard outside at the middle or end of the line and just shoo them away and tell them not to bother their patrons, but they choose not to. Either way, they are definitely all up in your face asking for a dollar or a cigarette. On the walk over from our $15 unattended, sketchy parking lot 2 blocks away (not worth saving the extra $10 btw) we had a guy throwing items across the sidewalk in front of us out of his bag while yelling. One of those items he threw was a pair of large scissors. By the time we got to the venue, we were thoroughly uneasy and scared. We dreaded leaving the venue after the show, you know, at midnight now. I will definitely try to avoid shows at this place in the future.

    Jon B!!!!!

I went to the Regent last night to see Jon B. I hopped on the E Line, got off at the Pershing Square station and it was a quick walk to the Regent. I hadn't been to the Regent in years, I've never seen a show there - only movies and that was when I was a kid. I had a standing room only ticket which is normally not my thing and would have bothered me had it been a bigger venue but the Regent holds maybe 1,500 people total (I'm guessing) so it was a cozy environment and truly not a bad view in the place. The crowd was a little older, mellow and was in the mood to have a good time. I got there as the opening act finished so I was late to jockey for a front row position but it was fine as I had a good view of the stage. Jon B came out and the crowd went nuts - he looked good, sounded great, is very charismatic and sang his heart out (as did the crowd). I couldn't help to think of a former acquaintance of mine who surprised me when he told me he knew who Jon B was, because musically he's stuck in the 60s. He would have had a good time at the show. The theater itself has been renovated, looked good, and has a good sound system. There's a second floor that has chairs and tables so you can eat/drink while watching the show which I didn't know about but it's an option for next time. I left right before the show was over and took an Uber to the 7th Street Metro station instead of walking back to Pershing Square station which is sketchy - I went to the show by myself so safety is a major consideration. All in all, it was a good experience and wouldn't hesitate to go to the Regent for any event. It was easy to get to, easy to get in, staff was helpful, lots of restaurant/bar options within walking distance, and a great place to see a show . I enjoyed myself more than I thought I would, I'm glad I went and had that experience. I would recommend the Regent to everyone.

The live bands. Look at that production value!
    Andrew D.

I would have probably never discovered this venue weren't it for a friend, but I love what they do with the spaces; it reminds me of my Tigerheat days back at the Avalon. Sigh to the early 2010s. Good bands, ample space to dance around and take poor-lit selfies while drunk, and fruity, potent cocktails at the bar next door. Kudos for the production value onstage; really sets it apart from the small venues in Echo Park and Silver Lake that typically cater for indie bands. The outside patio proved just as fun and gives way to meeting some interesting folks/music aficionados. The grungy hipster inside me gives The Regent a 10/10.

Came here for Ruby Ibarra and Pinay Voltron's NPR Tiny Desk concert. Bartenders worked efficiently and the slanted floor made it a more enjoyable experience, making it slightly easier to see the stage from different parts of the room. Ambiance was chill. The main drawback, as is the case with many establishments here in LA, is the parking situation. Give yourself some extra time to find parking before your event.

No, you can buy drinks at their other bar inside.

Do you require vaccination cards or do you have to be vaccinated to visit?

    Yes they do

    Show hours

    Can 15 year olds attend?

Depends on the age restrictions on the show in question.

I lost my ID last night but i have pictures on my phone of it and my favorite rapper is going to be there tonight, will they allow me in if i show the picture?

If it's all ages yes, if not no.

Is this where they host the Rock & Roll Flea Market?

    Yes! First Sunday every month.

Does this place do a bag check or have a camera policy? I'm searching for different places to practice photography on musicians. There is a black metal band I may go see, but I have never been here before.

If you get there early enough sometimes they don't even check for tickets. I've seen photographers at gigs there, but I'm not sure if they get advanced permission. These photographers were in the pit area behind the barriers.

Hotel Cafe is going away in 2026, but it is not gone, they will just be moving from their iconic Hollywood location, that small room that barely held 150, a small stage in the corner, a few low tables and a bar in the back to a new location in Los Angeles. It's that kind of local spot. The sound was always great and the drinks were well crafted and strong. I recently saw Priscilla Ahn sing here again and it brought back memories of the first time I saw her here, when she only had a 5 track EP CD. When she sang Dream again this year, it felt like everything had come full circle, since that first CD released 20 years ago. I cannot wait to see what the new building looks like, but a huge part of me, like for everyone else that has been here, will miss that little room in the back of the alley, where young dreamers became singers, where singers became stars.

Glad we got there when they opened so we could snag seats. There were only about 25 seats with standing room behind. There is a bar. It was very dark inside. And the guitars were mixed TOO LOUD! But the concert was fabulous and ran for 3 hours.

My wife and I enjoyed the Think X show on December 30 and had a wonderful time. This is the type of…read moresmaller venue that makes everyone feel at home. Yes, we all bumped up against each other, but there were never any hard feelings about it. Instead, everyone always had a smile. Despite the fact that the bar was PACKED for the show, our server was almost unbelievably attentive. Even closing out our tab only took 2ish minutes, with a couple hundred people present. the drinks were good and STRONG, too. This is what I like - if we're going to pay L.A. prices for drinks, make them good...and they did! As for the show, it was incredible and the sound was remarkable (and important note, as good sound is sometimes lacking in smaller venues). Plus, the tickets were only like 35 bucks! WE DID NOT get to eat, as all of the tables were booked, but I could see and smell other people's food and it looked INCREDIBLE. This was our first trip to The Mint, but it definitely isn't going to be our last. Thank you for giving us an amazing night!

You must get there early if you'd like to find a spot to sit and enjoy. -Wait staff is MEH. Additionally, they should really tell customers that the water bottles they bring out cost $4.00 each. They didn't tell us until we asked for a "full breakdown" of the bill. -Also, keep an eye out for "included tip" followed up by additional tip line. I thought was sneaky.
