I'm not vegan or vegetarian in the least, but I've bought my lunch from them on more than one occasion. And it was good for that. Fortunately for me, I worked on campus, so when I got out of class, I'd make a short detour to where it was parked next to RAWL (one of their stops at the time), and pick up up something to eat. At that time, it tended to be the the grilled cheese and tater tots. Actually, it's hard for me to write anything about their food because they're so good about changing up their menu and having new things. They're really big on creativity and using local ingredients. For example, they got a boatload of millet sometime back and start asking around what people thought they should make from it to sell. Said webpage will also tell you their schedule, menus, and whatnot. Overall, it's typically American comfort food, but I've seen items with the occasional Mexican or Italian or Greek influence. Great prices, fun, and carefully thought out dishes. Prepare yourself to wait for a bit after ordering. Staff are super friendly and open about any questions you have about the food. In general, they tend to be very responsive about feedback and ideas you may have. Mostly though, VIEW THEIR WEBSITE (as provided above). They provide the menu for each event on Facebook, announce special events and where they're going to be on Twitter, and their website (emtfoodtruck.com) has a calendar summarizing where they'll be and what kind of weather that day will be having. Speaking as someone who had dropped by one day without realizing that it was going to rain? This is very convenient. Like a number of noteworthy local restaurants, there are a number of local food trucks that you'll find at pretty much every big local event (festivals and such). This is one of them. If they're in your area, I'd highly recommend you to try it at least once.

Seriously, if you try nothing else from this food truck, please just get the baked beans. These are out-of-this-world baked beans. I want to eat them by the vat. They're warm and smokey and just sweet enough. To tell you the truth, I've never paid attention to baked beans before trying the ones at this Mad Max truck. But these are attention-getting beans that can be the star of the meal. We also got pork nachos, and those were excellent too! The pork on the chips was perfectly cooked and slightly charred on the outside. Walked out with 2 containers of left overs, all for the grand total of $37. Hoosier Roots ain't bougie. This is a jeans & t-shirt place. But, dang- the chicken is better than my grandma's out of the cast iron skillet. I would absolutely take my fancy friends from out of state to get a REAL taste of Indiana. There is a choice of 4 sides to choose from. Cucumber salad, Mac & cheese, green beans and cole slaw. I forgot to inquire about any BBQ sauce varieties, but the ones included were flavorful. The Brisket was with both meaty slices and fatty slices just like Brisket should be. The green beans tasted like farm fresh. The Mac and cheese shells were creamy and plentiful. The server asked me if I wanted Brioche buns to make sandwiches and she toasted and buttered them to perfection.
