I had a mac and cheese grilled cheese sandwich, g-fries, and the jalapeno poppers and the food was excellent. It was ready super quick. It was hot and cooked perfect. And the staff and service was really nice and courteous. In fact we liked the food so much we went back and got some more 45 minutes later. It was that good. I hope they come back to the area again real soon.

SUPER local food truck and proud of it! I bookmarked their page a while back, and it's actually…read morequite interesting. I'm not vegan or vegetarian in the least, but I've bought my lunch from them on more than one occasion. And it was good for that. Fortunately for me, I worked on campus, so when I got out of class, I'd make a short detour to where it was parked next to RAWL (one of their stops at the time), and pick up up something to eat. At that time, it tended to be the the grilled cheese and tater tots. Actually, it's hard for me to write anything about their food because they're so good about changing up their menu and having new things. They're really big on creativity and using local ingredients. For example, they got a boatload of millet sometime back and start asking around what people thought they should make from it to sell. Said webpage will also tell you their schedule, menus, and whatnot. Overall, it's typically American comfort food, but I've seen items with the occasional Mexican or Italian or Greek influence. Great prices, fun, and carefully thought out dishes. Prepare yourself to wait for a bit after ordering. Staff are super friendly and open about any questions you have about the food. In general, they tend to be very responsive about feedback and ideas you may have. Mostly though, VIEW THEIR WEBSITE (as provided above). They provide the menu for each event on Facebook, announce special events and where they're going to be on Twitter, and their website (emtfoodtruck.com) has a calendar summarizing where they'll be and what kind of weather that day will be having. Speaking as someone who had dropped by one day without realizing that it was going to rain? This is very convenient. Like a number of noteworthy local restaurants, there are a number of local food trucks that you'll find at pretty much every big local event (festivals and such). This is one of them. If they're in your area, I'd highly recommend you to try it at least once.

Fiesta Tacos returns with a bigger truck! See the new pictures!…read more The price has gone up 50 cents an item but you'll still get a great meal here. No carside delivery on this trip though, and the mix of ingredients seems to have shifted. My burrito had virtually no lettuce, less avocado, and more bean than before. The menu board pic shows lettuce no longer included with a supreme taco but we didn't order that so I cannot say for sure. We still enjoy the food but hope the balance of ingredients returns. We would rather pay more for balanced entrees than less for a shift to inexpensive ingredients. Down a star for that.

And it's a good thing that it was at the same place and same time that we were, otherwise we would have never gotten to experience Mad Max's baked beans. Seriously, if you try nothing else from this food truck, please just get the baked beans. These are out-of-this-world baked beans. I want to eat them by the vat. They're warm and smokey and just sweet enough. To tell you the truth, I've never paid attention to baked beans before trying the ones at this Mad Max truck. But these are attention-getting beans that can be the star of the meal. We also got pork nachos, and those were excellent too! The pork on the chips was perfectly cooked and slightly charred on the outside. I'm not even sure where Mad Max's food truck usually camps out, but if you happen to see it, make sure to visit (and get the baked beans, like I said).

ONLY IN INDIANA. I've heard about Hoosier Roots since they opened. It's about an hour from my house (thank all things holy!) and it's TOTALLY WORTH THE TRIP. (8 minutes outside Brownsburg) We kept it simple- 1 order of chicken (8 pieces, yep, 1 whole chicken) 1 small jalapeño mac & cheese, and because they had house made fried pickles, what the hell- add those, too. Walked out with 2 containers of left overs, all for the grand total of $37. Hoosier Roots ain't bougie. This is a jeans & t-shirt place. But, dang- the chicken is better than my grandma's out of the cast iron skillet. I would absolutely take my fancy friends from out of state to get a REAL taste of Indiana. Trust me- they'll be talking about it for ages. We better be careful, it might become the next ironically hip place that the likes of me can't get in to.

There is a choice of 4 sides to choose from. Cucumber salad, Mac & cheese, green beans and cole slaw. I forgot to inquire about any BBQ sauce varieties, but the ones included were flavorful. The Brisket was with both meaty slices and fatty slices just like Brisket should be. The green beans tasted like farm fresh. The Mac and cheese shells were creamy and plentiful. The server asked me if I wanted Brioche buns to make sandwiches and she toasted and buttered them to perfection. Super happy with my decision to give this spot a try and I think if you give it a try, you won't be disappointed! I will be back and I cant wait to try the Prime Rib. They also have meals for 2-4 people of your choice of Prime Rib, Brisket, Pulled Pork or Chicken. All meals come with 3 sides. Jason also post on his Facebook page specials from time to time and the hours they are open or closed.
