Generally, Allure North Dallas Apts is a nice place to live. Access to two toll roads is a great plus.

We love this place, every time we go the staff is beyond friendly and goes out of their way to make sure we're very well taken care of. We had recently met the owners and they couldn't be more accommodating, friendly, amazing people. The wine is always amazing and the owners and the staff are always there to point you in the right direction towards the perfect glass of wine. NOW unlike a lot of wine bars the food IS OFF THE CHARTS!!!! We have had multiple dishes and we are always blown away with the flavors and how mouth watering delicious it always is. My wife and I always pick two dishes to share because we just can't wait to taste something new in anticipation of how amazing it will be....needless to say this place is universally an epic place to eat, drink and hangout!!!! read more

This is the second time we've been here, and it will be the last. The first time wasn't great and thought we'd give it another try. Well that was a mistake. The flatbreads (3) were soggy. Then they ask, how was your drink, it's new on the menu, my reply not great it's to sweet and the manager says, good to know. Not I'm sorry, not can I get you something else, just good to know. Seriously!! Then I say, I think they forgot the gin, she says that's not like Ashley let me go ask. Comes back with lemon juice to cut the sweetness and says there's 2 oz of gin in it. There was no way there was 2oz of gin in it. I couldn't even finish it and that says a lot. I don't think the waitresses could be less enthusiastic if they tried. It's Saturday night. Try and act like you want to be there and a little bit upbeat. read more

We visited Red Feather from Plano and it was well worth the drive. The food was excellent and the service was great - we loved that the venue is staffed by lots of local students! Not being a huge wine guy myself, I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of beers that were on tap, all were great picks in my humble opinion. We ate out on the patio and the live music that played the evening we were there was excellent. For those of you who love wine, this is a great place. For those of you are not as into the vino, between the food, the beer and the cocktails, you will be happy as well! read more

I was sorely disappointed with our visit to Red Feather on Saturday, April 1. We had been shortly after they opened and the menu was limited, so I was very glad to see the much expanded menu and simplified wine list. But that is where the pleasure ended. Most of the action was out on the patio where a musician was playing but we wanted something quiet and stayed in the dining room. There were only two other tables in the dining room but the service was beyond horrible. SOOOOO slow we honestly thought more than once they had forgotten we were there. Finally, they took our drink order and then we waited forever to get our beer and wine. The beer (all draft) was great but the wine was stale and clearly from a bottle that had been open for quite a while. The person delivering drinks could not take our dinner order, so we waited longer and longer to get a server who could. Then began the long, long wait for food. When it arrived it was a huge disappointment. The flatbread was barely lukewarm and the cheese was not even completely melted. The Italian beef panini was not a panini at all, having never been grilled or heated in any way. It was lukewarm beef and one pepperoncini on a dry ciabatta bun with nothing else. It did not include the promised jus for dipping and came with a salad instead of promised chips. When I asked for jus I again had a long wait and when it came it was so boiled down and concentrated salty it was completely unusable. The ONLY high point of the night was the dessert -- chocolate torte -- which is not made on site and was delicious. I was really hoping for a good local restaurant but this is not it. read more

This place is amazing! The aesthetic is amazing, the service outstanding and the food to die for. The wine selection is good, though a bit pricey. The outdoor patio is heated AND enclosed - which is super nice. We had a flat bread (tres carne) - WOW! This is a cozy spot great for date night, a girls night - or even just on your own at the bar. Just moved to the area and was so excited to find this cute restaurant. At first impression it was exactly what I hoped for...nice ambiance (inside and outside) newer and definitely on the fancier side for a date night etc if you wanted (we had our family of 4 dining tonight) Now onto the food/wine....Wine was a hit but in my opinion was a little over priced! All the Food was very small portioned but decent. We tried the appetizer Prosciutto/fig (so small that I almost laughed out loud when it arrived-I think the kitchen can increase the size of bread all this yummy stuff comes on...I mean you can literally put one entire piece in your mouth...okay now onto the mains...we ordered the Tre carne and chicken picatta flat bread-all good, but again on the smaller portioned side. We were still a little hungry, so we ordered the lobster bisque-not great (tasted like it was out of a can to be honest-and we love lobster bisque usually). Didn't even finish it(and it was a very small portion again). Then we finished off with desert...although the S'mores was sounding like our best bet..the waitress said the chocolate cake is a winner and she was right-delish! Our bill was expensive for what we got but thinking back about our overall experience...it was decent. We were hoping this would be a frequent place for us to go to but the cost won't allow it and I bet this an often thought of other locals. I did hear they have specials throughout the week...although our waitress mentioned only knowing about one special which is on Wednesday's, I guess it's 1/2 off bottles of wine. Overall, this place would be best for wine and appetizers only(go on the weekend because they have live music-outside). Don't expect to leave feeling full but that's not always the goal-lol! read more

Our first - and definitely NOT last - visit to The Red Feather was last night. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and everyone was so nice! Samantha was our waitperson and even though it was her first day, she did a great job taking care of us! She was friendly, didn't hesitate to ask questions of her trainer when necessary. Hiram - the sommelier and manager - was very attentive and made great wine selections. To have someone of his caliber in Melissa is fantastic. We also met the owners and spent some time around the firepit with them learning about their journey to opening the restaurant. This will be our new hangout - and we wish them all the success in this new venture and look forward to the great things they have planned. read more

My wife and I live in Anna, and decided to venture out for long overdue date night. We couldn't have chose a better place. Great vibes with music playing outside, and a well decorated fire pit ...but we chose to sit indoors as to be a little more personal for conversation. Very well done keeping an indoor scene, while still maintaining that Saturday night feel outdoors. We decided to eat at the bar, and I'm glad we did. We come from a family background of restaurants, and to me it's always the best vantage point for the "feel" of a restaurant. Bartender was doing an amazing job handling her customers, as well as doing service bar for the entire restaurant. Calm, cool, and collective. Team of servers seem to constantly be aware of their surroundings, and working together for the common goal... Elevated service. The food and wine menu seemed very well rounded, and my wife ended up settling on a flight of fuller body reds. Perfect pours, and great legs on the wine which paired well with our apps. I personally do not drink, so much love on them having cold Topo Chico in the well and ready, . First thing we had were the fig and prosciutto crostinis. They came with a sweet jam spread, and all the flavors were constructed wonderfully. Now for us, the star of the show.. the Charcuterie Boards!!. Beautiful presentation, with an option of (3) different pairings. Perfect to share for two, or just to have on the table at a dinner as a communal appetizer. We finished off with a crème brûlée cheesecake which satisfied the sweet tooth perfectly. I wish this place would do a raw bar, or even just some fresh shucked oysters because I really believe it would compliment their wine program beautifully... and mainly just because we'd like some oysters closer to home with a great atmosphere, lol.
