Arcade Retro 92 in McKinney is such a blast--and it's perfectly located right next door to Comedy Arena, which makes it an easy add-on to a night out downtown. The front room hits you with pure nostalgia: classic vintage arcade games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong that instantly take you back. Head toward the back and the vibe shifts to newer arcade games and a great selection of pinball machines, so there's something for every generation. One of my favorite parts was the long walk of consoles where you can sit comfortably and play a wide variety of games--super relaxed, super fun, and great for hanging out instead of standing the whole time. It's $12 to play all day, which is such a steal, especially for how much there is to do. They also have a bar, free soda refills, and even hosted a whiskey tasting that night (we didn't partake, but it was a cool bonus event). It was pretty busy for a Friday night, but that just added to the energy. We had so much fun. Parking is a breeze with a garage right behind the building, making it easy to get in and out, and the corner location makes it super accessible. Definitely a must-visit if you're in downtown McKinney and love games, nostalgia, or just a fun night out.

So much fun! Most of the games were working. They have a nice selection of beer and cocktails in house. And they have a small food menu (of not amazing food). The games are well laid out on the floor and there is good variety. Staff is kind. Plenty of parking in the garage right by the building.

Fun / exciting / pizza / beer / games This is a childhood dream come true. Games that you can remember and enjoy the experience with friends and family.

Arcade 92 is a lot of fun! There is so many games you can play!! There food is really good too. Plus the drinks are really really good! There is a variety of old games like pac man a bunch of old retro games and all of that fun stuff! The only thing that is kind of ok is it get's pretty loud in there sometimes but not super loud. Thanks to the service for being so nice and kind.

Fun retro arcade in downtown McKinney. An old school gamers delight. They have a lot of machines with a game for everyone. The vibe is retro, so go with an open mind. They have a variety of beer on tap. They also serve some delicious lemon pepper wings on the menu. Go with the kids they will love it. Or go with your person for a retro date night type of feel.

I crushed the high score on Galaga. The high score on Tron I couldn't even touch. Not even the top 100 on that one.

Damn. This place is awesome. After parking to go to Foxii's restaurant right next door, we saw that this arcade was here. Didn't realize it as I hadn't been looking for one. After we ate, we went over to it and saw that you can play as long as you want, all day long, for $12. It was closer to 8pm or 9pm when we went over. Originally, my wife wasn't going to play and was just going to watch. Unfortunately, as you don't use tokens or coins, there can't be bystanders. So we paid $24 and we both got to play. The selection is pretty darn good. Front and center was Tron, which is one of my favorite arcade games. They had some old school cabinets, like Popeye and Road Runner (I haven't seen a Road Runner machine in 30 years). They had Moon Patrol, Dr. Mario, Galaga, Gauntlet, Simpson, TMNT, and so much more -- and that was just on the first floor. Down a couple steps had even more games. Star Wars Trilogy, T2, other shooter type of games, as well as several stations with small TVs for old school systems, like Nintendos and Super Nintendos. My wife played Zelda 2 for a bit on one of them. Down the ramp was even more titles. Dance Dance Revolution, several pinball machines, 4-player Pac-Man, and a bunch of larger TVs with comfy seats with Switch machines hooked up. The machines were set to play a handful of games, such as Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Gang Beasts, and a few more. My wife played a little Super Smash and some Mario Kart on these. My wife got a drink and I forget what it was, but it actually tasted pretty good (I don't like alcohol). They did a good job on it. Overall, this place is fantastic. There are lots of options for games to play. Since there aren't coins or tokens, you can finally beat some of the titles you never could when you were younger, like Gauntlet or some of the rail shooters that eat up quarters. Prices are reasonable and we could have stayed for a lot longer, but after 2-1/2 hours, we had had our fill (technically, I could have kept playing, but that's because there were a lot more games to beat that I didn't even get a chance to get to). My wife, whom doesn't play many video games, had a great time beating some of the shooters and playing old school stuff. If you are into arcades, this is a great place to go and the selection and options are hard to beat.

If you're looking for a fun date night or family night out, this is the place! They have games for everyone and decently priced for all you can play. While we did not have any food, the drinks were great and the bartenders were all so nice and welcoming! We will be coming back soon!!

A whole day of video game arcades, each had their own positives, and type of crowd.

My 2nd visit, and not as crowded as 1st time, perfect! Actually, on a Sunday, I arrived later, with 3 hours remaining. Plenty of open games, plenty of open seating. I battled the Stranger Things pinball game for a while, then I got my shots down to place 1st, top score, and enter my gamer initials for the display board. This Stern pinball machine can register players to this machine and others with same feature, so you can compete nationally with other Pinball Wizards! Asteroids game, hehe, needs a tune-up! The playing field is15% blank on the left side from top to bottom. The asteroids & space ships are very tiny. There are 4 Asteroid games, 1979 version, that I have found in some DFW arcades, only 1 is functioning in 100% true original settings. Well, I looked at all the console games, majority were open, available for play this night. I would need assistance with set-up, etc, time to treat some buddies to get them up here. Today I learned that there is another Arcade92 located over in Flower Mound, TX, southwest from McKinney. Put that on my planner for a future visit! Support the retro game arcades!

There are a variety of games- PacMan, a foosball like hockey game, racing games, pinball, frogger, shooting games, old classics like Fix-it-Felix, DDR, shooting hoops, skee ball and more! It's relatively clean and employees come help is something is glitchy or a ball is stuck in the basketball game, for example. They play music at an appropriate volume (this place is way less deafening than cidercade, and less crowded too!). I've never had food/ alcohol here so can't speak to that. It's definitely a great place to go, especially with a buddy, to get competitive and just unwind a little! My only complaint- the arrows in DDR are not very sensitive and tend to stick a little on their machines. It's very hard to adjust the initial difficulty level because the DOWN arrow on both sides of their machine is so not-receptive to touch you have to jump on it with intense force to move it from basic to more difficult. I'm actually pretty good at DDR and kept getting BOOS from arrows I was hitting. So just don't come here specifically for a DDR marathon and you won't be disappointed. Everything else was in good working order!

He's been racing regularly since early November at another Andretti location and has already been officially verified as meeting the height requirement for the junior track. We came to this location excited, with family in town, expecting the same consistency. Instead, he was denied access based on a manager's visual guess from behind the counter. No one measured him. No policy was clearly explained. No customer records were checked. And the manager refused to even come out to engage directly. If height requirements are about safety (which we fully respect), then they should be enforced objectively and consistently. Guessing from a distance is not safety--it's laziness and poor leadership. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy. Watching a child who loves racing go from excited to confused and disappointed--without explanation or care--was heartbreaking and entirely avoidable. The Andretti name stands for precision and professionalism. What we experienced here was the opposite: disengaged management, inconsistent policy enforcement, and a total breakdown in customer experience. We didn't ask for special treatment. We expected competence, consistency, and basic respect--especially when dealing with kids. This experience ruined our visit and seriously damaged our trust in this location. Until Andretti addresses these leadership and operational issues, we won't be returning--and we'll think twice before recommending it to other families.

The race cars are really the main attraction here and the entire place revolves around the racing. You cannot make a reservation. It's a first come, first serve situation. There are four racing categories (see below), so if you come with a group of mixed ages or heights you may not all be able to race together (I've witnessed this shock when birthday parties assume they can race together). The Intermediate and Junior Races are slower than you'd assume. I could jog faster, but the WORST part is the speed. They go so slow and are controlled so it's nearly impossible to pass another racer or actually RACE! The Mini Mario has some speed and speed is adjusted based on the general age of the racers in the heat. The cost is $29 down to $15, which doesn't sound horrible, but after waiting for a long time for your group to be called and then racing for 1min to 7 minutes, the cost is really high! High enough you're not likely to get in line and do it again. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ugh. There are kiosks and a giant line with actual people at a counter. Don't be mistaken YOU MUST go to the kiosk FIRST and fill out waivers, although there are no signs anywhere telling you that. We've filled out waivers on line before arriving, only to find ourselves at the front of the line and told "we can't find it, now to to the kiosks and get back in line". It's awful. The employees don't seem to like their jobs, or likely are sick of people being upset at them for the HORRIBLE process management has set up. We've never been able to find someone on the floor to help us when a video game eats our money or doesn't work either. The guys in the race area are hit or miss. Sometimes they're patient and kind. Other times they mumble and seem pissed off to be there. GAMES: The video games are the same as other places around town, but after driving all the way out here, searching for parking and then racing for 5 minutes we've always felt like we need to play a few games to make the trip worth it. FOOD: We've never eaten here, but it's basic bar food (hamburger, hot dogs, nachos, etc) and the cost is high for such basic food. We'd rather pay the same amount for better food options in the area. All that to say, expect to spend $$$ to come race, eat and play at Andrettis. Make sure your group has checked the height & age requirements to make sure you can race together. And finally, come with a lot of patience. ----- Race Categories ----- ADULT RACE 7- Minute Heat. Here is what you need to know before you go: * Zero Staff Supervision: There are no staff members supervising the bounce room or the shooting area. Because of this, little kids are running wild with guns everywhere. * Not Teen-Friendly: Because the facility is overrun with unsupervised "littles," teenagers do not have a dedicated or safe place to actually play. If you have older kids, this is definitely not the place for you. * Broken Games: The "video game" area is a joke. They only have 12 older games, and only 4 of them actually work. * No Basic Amenities: There is absolutely nowhere to put your shoes.
