Went out for the evening with friends. Friendly and efficient isn't staff. Started off with their Caesar Very well done and loved the different garnishes which included part of hard boiled eggs, salami slice etc. we tried a few different appetizers which included falafel lettuce wraps and chicken bites. The lettuce wraps were interesting choice. Nice combination of flavors. The chicken bites were also good but nothing out of the ordinary. I tried the Cobb salad. I have to admit it was one of the better Cobb salads I've had in Canada. Usually the USA does an awesome job. Overall great experience.

The Rec Room has taken all things millennials love and created a giant fun house to place it all in. This place is an Instagram worthy, tinder-date haven for all. Of course, the rest of family is welcome too if they want! The restaurant, Three10, has all the comfort foods of your childhood - a few different kinds of mac and cheese, burgers, heck - even devilled eggs! We shared a pepperoni pizza (wood-fired, you can smell the logs burning in the back) and the crab and artichoke dip. Both were delicious. The pizza doesn't look like anything amazing but everything about it is delicious from the fresh tomato sauce to the deli inspired pepperoni on top. The dip came with some crusty bread but also some charred broccoli. Super yummy! There's lots of beer on tap and unique tastes available in cans and bottles. The Rec Room mule was delicious with robust ginger beer that tickles your throat and a dash of pepper for a different kind of spice. I had the Canadian mojito but found it to be a bit lacklustre. It just tasted like gin and soda with little bits of raspberries floating around. Oh well! Crafted cocktails ranged from $9 to $12.50. The staff here looked very young and it was clear there are some kinks to be worked out but we had a lovely meal nonetheless! The restaurant area has two side rooms that can be curtained off. 'The Hall' is the music venue with a stage. They host events like live band karaoke and Motown dj nights. They had a band performing the best of the 90s which played on all the speakers so you didn't have to stray away from your video games to tune in. The rest of the venue is stuffed with things to do! I loved that they had 'The Shed' which is a cafeteria style spot where you can fetch a beer, an artisan donut, or even poutine - all on the go. There's a VR station, axe throwing, ping pong, and all the arcade games you could want. This is a paradise for those who want all the fun of those cool hip spots around town, all in one place. It will be an expensive night if you want to participate. It's a mini Las Vegas, but instead of winning money, you get to win a bag full of candy or, if your lucky, a Michael Kors purse!? The prizes in this place are not the average you'd expect. From branded housewares to hover boards, to expensive purses, you can win some serious prizes. You receive an RFID tag to scan at each game and your points are collected on it. Keep it for next time so you don't have to pay the $2-$5 for a new one. I won't give away the game that gave me the most points, that secret stays with me! It's easy to create a giant mecca like this with Cineplex behind it. The Rec Room is well worth a visit, but I will say - there are plenty of amazing places in #ldnont that are more affordable, and locally run. But hey, you do you, as long as your having fun, I'm happy!

First and foremost, I absolutely LOVE this space. The only downside is that it's located in a basement, so it's a no-go for those in a wheelchair or unable to climb up and down stairs. That being said, once you are down there, from the LED lights to the art on the ceiling, they did a really good job creating a cool, futuristic, artistic vibe. This ain't your grandmas basement where you used to play Nintendo. This is a space for ultimate exploration and relaxation. VRcadia is definitely more of a lounge than an 'arcade'. I can see myself getting a group of friends together to sit and hang out on the couches between VP sessions. Although VRcadia is kid-friendly, it exudes a more grown up, boutique feel. Their games really focus on exploration, music, and art which is a welcome change. I love getting a workout to Beat Saber, or relaxing while exploring Google Earth. On the other hand, you will also find me slinging hot dogs and slurpees while I play Job Simulator (seriously, I love that game). You will also find some really cool events held in this space. If their grand opening has anything to say, this venue can really transform into a party. Whether it is guitars or DJ's, the acoustics in the room are great and not too loud plus lots of room to dance. I cannot wait to attend their next VR meditation. Pairing VR with live music, I've heard it's heaven. I'm very excited to see more good things come from the folks who run VRcadia. They have a fresh spin on the capabilities of VR beyond gaming, and are seriously dedicated to building up other local entrepreneurs any way they can. Please stop in and pay them a visit!

East Park - Fun times at the slide

"They didn't have many and the bullet and caterpillar are the only good ones" -mr 9 The splash pad was good but if that's all your going for I would just go to one of the free city ones. The iced cream wasn't too bad but we had to cut our eating time short because of the bees. No ones fault but still a pain. I also found it was a pain picking up the tickets because of the loud sounds inside the building. I couldn't wait to get out. If you can get out of the city there are better places but if your here it's not a wasted day out

I really like East Park, it's a bit overpriced (hence the 4 stars) but otherwise it's a lot of fun…read more Water Park: Awesome. The slides are great! Although the water is ICE COLD, it's quite refreshing on a really hot day. It offers water fun for kids (and grown ups) of all ages. The splash pad area is great for the little ones and it has one of those cool dumping buckets that are kid magnets. The change rooms always smell like pee unfortunately, you;re better off using the stalls out by the carpet slides if you don't need to use a washroom. Mini Golf: I love minigolf and East Park offers fun themed holes and is a great change from the place on Adelaide I usually go. The minigolf has two options, one with wooden edges around each hole and one without (like real golf). The one without edges is usually less busy and better for teens/adults. Batting Cages: I'm fairly certain these are the only ones in London. The last time I was there the "softball" ones were both very slow (even the hard option) so my friend and I were using the expert hardball games to practice our swings. We brought our own bats and helmets because their bats aren't high quality and I always question the cleanliness of shared helmets. Rock Climbing: I hate heights so I hate rock climbing. I did the team building exercises here in 2009 and the person running them was fantastic. They were supportive and really motivated our group to complete the challenge. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and well maintained.
