But the real superstar, nay, the Josephine Baker of pastries was a pistachio bun (?!?). This was heaven paired perfectly with strong coffee. I may add, it was the only good coffee I had in Alaska. In this case, I absolutely make a better latte than Highliner Coffee. We came here as Sitka was the first stop of the cruise. The shop itself was not too big and has a drive through. There was a long line which made sense because everyone from the boat wanted coffee! The prices aren't listed on the board which was kinda weird. But when we placed our order, a 12 oz hot latte was just under $5. I think $4.75 if I remember correctly. The latte came out fairly quick, but the flavors were lackluster. It tasted like watery milk with a splash of espresso. It was quite disappointing. However, this might be the only place that does coffee in Sitka. If that's the case, my brother and I might move here and start our own coffee shop haha. Anyways, would I could back. Nope. But it was worth trying nonetheless.
