Always! Delicious! Great beer. Great views. Great service. Food is top notch. Go to dinner spot.

It was busy for sure. Dropping off 3000 cruise ship passengers in a town of 8500 will make things a bit hectic. We were seated quickly and had our order taken pretty fast. Good local Alaska beer selection. Plenty of food choices. I ordered the Halibut fish and chips and my wife the pub burger with no sauce. Food arrived but no utensils. Had to go grab them from the front. Pub burger had sauce and had to take it to bar to get it replaced. It was replaced quickly and was tasty. My fish and chips had far too much breading. I actually cracked the breading and ate the fish like out of a shell. That was tasty but the breading not so much. So service was lacking and food was okay. The bill for a burger fish and chips one beer and one cider was $100. I lived in Hawaii for many years and understand island pricing but wow. So be aware. Decor was definitely rustic and Alaskan.

I think this was a bison burger for $38

My friends and I were in Sitka for a fishing adventure and we had to look for dinner the first night of our trip. We ended up at the Bayview Pub. As we have been coming here for years we cannot help but notice how crowded and touristy Sitka has become. The cruise ships now stop by Sitka regularly and the town is inundated with passengers for these ships. So, as I look at the menu I see prices on the have really gone up and the Bayview Pub is overpriced in my opinion. The food here is pretty decent though. They make a great burger that is either bison or elk, served with fries for $38. My halibut fish and chips were 3 small pieces for $38. The server mentioned how good their chowder was so I substituted my fries for a cup. It was OK. Personally, I would not return because the food is just not worth the prices.

The only vegan option at least they were tasty!

One of the only spots in Sitka to have food/drinks. Quite busy, but service was fast. A fun stop but expect to pay tourist prices. No vegan options, but at least the fries were good!

Always good ambience with a great view. The food is scrumptious with many options on the menu. Everything made fresh with what ingredients available in Sitka. Attentive staff although it does get busy, they still do their best to take care of you. A specialty is their variety of potato sides, from fries, to loaded, to tater tots. and my favorite dessert is their brownie with chocolate and ice cream.

    Pub Burger with delicious tots!

Burnt sandwich. Almost broke a tooth on a French fry. Big lose in quality over the years.

Great pub food in the heart of downtown Sitka. Love the lamb burger and the cod. Comfort food after doing a long hike around Sitka.

More on the watery side, it was more like a soup than a thick, creamy chowder. Served with a slice of bread, it did hit the spot when the weather turned a bit chilly. At $11 for an 8 ounce container, this is pricy even for Alaska standards. My 8 oz cup and my niece's 16 oz bowl was almost $29 including tax!

Ludvig's brings a touch of class and Mediterranean cuisine to the sleepy Alaskan town. Upon arriving the restaurant was only about half full, a counter style bar and traditional table seating downstairs and a nice enclosed upstairs area as well. My server greeted me and quickly brought me a coffee. She offered me drip or french press, I actually ended up trying both, with a noticeable increase in quality and flavor with the latter! The menu looks great, I was leaning toward the wonderful madame cristo but ended up going with a croissant Benedict after my servers suggestion, which may have been a mistake! The Benedict was reasonably tasty, the hollandaise was well prepared and tasty, but the eggs were definitely over cooked sadly, more soft boiled than poached. The potatoes on the side were very crispy, to the point I feel it was a mistake from sitting out, and lastly I found the croissant, which is traditionally a dainty thing to be massive and kind of too much to be honest. Overall I did like the dish, the thin sliced ham was delicious, but next time I'll definitely be having one cristo or another I should think. In conclusion I do recommend the place! There are precious few good restaurants in Sitka, and more to the point I was pleasantly surprised at the value as well. Come in and try!

I was able to reserve everything via email. Easy enough and the price was great for 4 to golf 9 holes with pick up from port and back. It was $120/person and was a great price compared to other excursions, and who doesn't want to say they went golfing in Alaska! Different from the norm and we loved it! Once we arrived in port, I received a call where to meet our driver. He was super friendly and a quick and easy drive to the course. It was only about 10-15 minutes away. As soon as we got there we walked into the clubhouse to check in and get our gear. The clubs and cart were clean and gently used. We're not pros so it worked for us! We started off with drinks before the range and then to our 9 holes. Range is standard, warmed up and off we went. Greens and Tee boxes are astroturf which I totally get with weather they get. But the views are amazing. Pictures don't do it justice, it's absolutely breathtaking!!! Some steep rides up hill but the golf carts made it! Half way through we were back at the clubhouse for a break and some tasty hot dogs and beer! Bathrooms were clean which is always a plus!! The staff was amazing! Back to the course and forgot which hole, I believe 4 or 5 and you're at the very top of the mountain driving your ball to the hole below. Absolutely amazing!! Definitely a fun experience you have to try to say you did!! The weather was perfect that day for us! Hope to visit again some day!!
