Amazing pad Thai! Best in the area!
    Penny L.

Love The Raven! Best pad Thai in Bigfork! They had the most wonderful calamari before but have recently changed to a smaller ringlet of calamari. I say bring back what they had before! But I understand costs don't always let that happen. My waiter Velko(spelling?) from Serbia was so kind , helpful, attentive, and even warned me of the calamari change before I ordered it. That is such a valued trait for a waiter. Bianca was also kind and helpful!

This is such a fun spot if you are on the lake! You can dock your boat and grab a table. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal, and the food was great as well.

We were staying at the islander inn directly across from here and thought we'd check the place out. Awesome atmosphere! We were sat right away outside and were able to view the lake and mountains while we ate. Food and drinks were okay. Definitely don't come here expecting Michelin star food. We came for the atmosphere and to chill out the day before we got back on a plane. My husband said his burger was amazing. The fish tacos were okay. I'd definitely come here again and try something else.

An unassuming little place we stopped to have dinner on our way back to Whitefish. The food was really good and the service was excellent. We started with dumplings but they were devoured before I could get a picture.

The atmosphere and service is EVERYTHING!!! Happened to stop by on a live music night which was extra cool. Perfect sunset, amazing people and fantastic tunes. Service was much quicker then the menu advertised "tiny kitchen and food made to order so be patient" (or something to that effect). They were pretty busy but absolutely crushed the delivery. The Bison burger had great flavor but was sober cooked a smidge. Not a huge deal. Salad was on point but would've been even better w buttermilk homemade ranch. All that said... go here. Do this place. Locals, tourists, everyone.

Lakeside spirits with an unbeatable view.

The Raven is a perfect, dog-friendly, lakeside spot for soaking up some sun and amazing views. The lower patio is waterfront and dock-level. This is the dog-friendly space. You can also dip your toes (or paws) in the water. Brings hats and sunglasses, (maybe a hoodie for the breeze) it's a very exposed area. Upstairs is bright and sunny indoor and outdoor dining. The upstairs deck offers expansive views across Flathead. The indoor bar has wide windows to daydream out of. Food and drink prices are average+ but you're really here for the vibe and views. I've really enjoyed the Greek tacos and pad Thai. Drinks are great! They serve local Montana Whistling Andy Spirits. I also love the range of ciders and low-cal Montana seltzers. Staff is international diverse and although sometime the wait is long, the team is kind and always smiling. Like the menu says... food is made to order in a small kitchen, "sit back, relax, and enjoy the view!"

Great place to hang out and enjoy the view! Great burgers and fish tacos here along with some great crafted cocktails! This is a must stop in Woods Bay!

When we arrived we were seated fairly quickly and attended too pretty frequently but not overly done. I would recommend coming here if you happen to be in the area.

For Flathead I had their Centennial IPA which I really liked a lot. I can get burned out on IPA'S pretty easily as they are everywhere but this summer (summer of 2025) I have had a hankering for IPA'S off and on. The Centennial proves to be a refreshing one for me the few times I have had it and firs the bill quite well for that occasional IPA hankering I've been having. Flavor highlights in this beer are hoppy, malty, floral and sweet (naturally sweet tasting). It's a very well balanced IPA with these features. The beer is also smooth in body. I look forward to returning as Steve and I are bound to pass through the area again but more for the purpose of sightseeing on that trip.

My friends that we were staying with were locals, and they recommended A Bar, so we knew we had to try it out. It was a Friday or a Saturday night, and we arrived after nightfall, so we were worried there wouldn't be anywhere to sit, but we miraculously found a nice six top with a great view of the karaoke that was about to start. Looking around, the ambiance was really cool. It had a heavy dive bar vibe. I could perfectly picture Garth Brooks singing in the corner with a rowdy crowd packing the place. A lot of the tables were talking or shouting friendily to one another, showing me that there were a lot of locals and/or regulars there. But also, the place sold merch, as if it were a tourist attraction. A very interesting blend. Service was great. He was just a cool dude that efficiently brought to us everything we ordered. Beer showed up in a hurry, the food came out timely and nice and hot. Very nice fella. As for the food, it was surprisingly very good. Like, the best food we ate the entire time we were in Montana. We opened up with the A Bar Nachos (Corn tortilla chips smothered with melted cheddar, refried beans, taco meat, diced tomatoes, olives, jalapeno, and green onions. Served with salsa and sour cream. Wow! These were good nachos. First of all, they were huge. You can't have small plate of nachos, it's not a good look. Second of all, they were layered beautifully. Not all the toppings were topped on top, they were layered in between layers of chips, leaving no boring bites even towards the end. Third of all, they added beans. Not everyone does that, but everyone should, because it spreads well and they're a great meat substitute. Just amazing nachos. For my main meal of the night, I ordered the Cowboy Burger (1/3 pound Angus Patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar, onion rings, and barbecue sauce on a grilled Brioche bun). Also awesome. A huge patty, cooked perfectly, sitting on a bun that was hearty enough to support it, stacked high with crispy onion rings and skewered with a giant steak knife to really set the presentation off right. A little fresh veg, a good amount of sauce, and a literal mountain of tater tots really made this a super satisfying meal. I also got to try the Shrimp Basket (Crispy Breaded shrimp, deep fried and served with French fries, cocktail sauce and lemon). These were nice. Nice, crispy shrimp, crispy tots, nothing was too greasy. A nice way to end the meal. Or so I thought that was the end. At the last second, I saw on their specials board that they had a huckleberry cheesecake. We were on the way out already, so I ordered it to go, and when I got it home, I naturally paired it with some Tillamook huckleberry ice cream and had one of the best nights of my life.

We had drinks flowing all evening long. Good was ridiculous. Probably the best food we had during all of our time in Montana. Cons: Not a con in the world. Tips: They are cash only, so bring cash. If you're interested in nachos, get the nacho app. It is very delicious. If they have a special huckleberry dessert, definitely get it.
