This place isn't fancy but it has a cool, laid back atmosphere that helps me instantly relax. I enjoy a meal and a frosty pint on the back deck and I pretend I'm on vacation, even when I'm not. Great spot on the lake. It's got a great sunset view. Drinks were good and they have a Dog friendly patio. We went during the pandemic and no one except the servers wore masks. The tables were all super close to each other and no one seemed to care much. It's a lake town so it's laid back. But after being in quarantine for months in another state, I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous...There was live music but the food took forever and they didn't get any of our orders correct, but we were on vacation so we didn't mind but it would've been nice if it didn't take 2 hours to get our food. Everyone was friendly and welcoming though so there was that. I know they were understaffed and 2 people served the whole restaurant the entire night. I know they were working their hardest.. The views can't be beat and take your time... it's a vacation spot afterall! read more

Off season at the Raven is quiet but the bartender was friendly and the food was good. Thanks for sparing my taste buds I've had too many bad experiences lately. If you go get one of the drink specials I had the moonshine bloodymary asked for it spicy which it wasn't but that's fine it was different. The moonshine gave it a corn taste.... I started drinking angry orchard ginger apple after that. My sister had a hibiscus-coconut rum drink with dry rhubarb soda. Strong...... So we started with some potstickers and they were awesome.... I know they were frozen pre-made but they deep fry them and they were good. They burger was great a candied bacon and blue cheese with hand cut fries. They needed to be double fried they lacked anything spectacular. The view was amazing and had a great time with my sister. Cannot wait to go again. read more

I've been to the raven several times and each time has ended in with smiles and a thanks for coming. These are rough times for any restaurant but I feel like the owners are doing a great job at keeping the Raven a wonderful place to be. Went to the Raven on a Sunday night for dinner and music. It was a blast! First of all, the service was fantastic so ignore the older reviews. The servers were friendly, attentive, and the food came out quick. We had Chicken Pad Thai and a Montana Beer Burger with an Impossible patty. Both dishes were delicious. The music was great- a band called Wild Wind. Lastly, the Raven is on the lake and the view is gorgeous. It's not a fancy restaurant, but there is tasty food for everyone (including vegetarian options), the service is great, and it's super fun on nights with music. read more

Pulled up on 6/10 for dinner with my family of 5. Walked inside and sat while waiters walked past us doing other things other than asking if we've been helped. There was more servers than customers in the building and after all three children had time to use the bathroom one by one with not a single person greeting us we decided to walk next door to the sitting duck. Other than having a stack of cups set in front of us and them telling us to pour our own drinks... at least they acknowledged us. We eat out at least once a week on the lake. Just won't be at the raven any longer. If you want a poor experience with your family thrust is your place. If you want to party and just drink then this will be a good spot for you. read more

Super friendly and cozy bar RIGHT ON THE LAKE! The servers are nice and make great drinks. It's a tourist friendly spot but filled with locals willing to give you great travel advice. I've been to some small towns where the locals make it known that you don't belong there- but this place welcomes the new people with open arms. The owner- Lisa- is such a hard working woman and really puts effort into making everyone welcome. If you're ever in the area I would highly recommend stopping in for a drink or some food. read more

This beachy spot was right across the street from my Air BnB and the first place we ate upon arrival. Ate out on the deck which could use more shade and gets pretty hot but really enjoyed being right on the water. I ordered the fish tacos which came with a salad along with a huckleberry lemonade which I was totally satisfied with. But my husband on the other hand had what he described as the worst steak of his life and had to order takeout from Bonfire (also next door) later in the evening. Oh and right next to the restaurant there is a bit of lake access which was a nice little spot for my kids to hangout and toss some stones in the water. If I was in town longer I'd definitely come back but would stick to what I ordered before since the menu appears to be hit or miss. read more

One of the ONLY places in the flathead where you can get a vegan burger! It is so good that I had to double check with the cook to make sure it wasn't meat. Thank you Lisa for adding this to the menu. We boat across the lake several times a month to enjoy the ambiance and the food now that there is a vegan option. read more

The service was absolutely awful. We sat down and we had water brought to us, and servers walked past us for 20 minutes without a word. It wasn't even that busy. We left because no one had even bothered to take a drink order, and none of the staff even acknowledged that we were walking out. Would not recommend going. Stopped in after a long hike for some lunch. Busy but wowed and super impressed with the costumer service here. We were seated right away and served cold water. Our waitress was on top of it. Cold Beer never ran out and food came out tasting awesome the three men all chose the bison burger They all said it was really good. French fries tasted homemade and fresh. I ordered the steak salad and was super impressed with the steak! It was cooked to perfection! So good Definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

I have to vent! On August 28, 4 of us went to lunch at The Raven on Flathead Lake. My 91 year old cousin paid the bill with his credit card. After signing the receipt he didn't get his card back. The waitress said she gave it to him. He asked her to look in the folder and she refused saying she was way to busy. He asked the bartender who was the "acting boss" and he also refused to look in the black folders. My cousin asked to talk to the owner because he was not leaving without his card. They flippantly told him he could go across the road and up the hill and talk to her. He's 91 and walks with a cane. Finally, he calls the sheriff and as he was waiting for them to show up, along comes the owner of the business. She starts flipping through the folders and kind of throwing them down in front of him. Well after a few, there was his card. She say, is this yours? And when he said yes, she said "Oh, sorry about that" in a condescending tone. That was the only apology he got. This could have been handled by the waitress in about 2 minutes had she bothered to look in the beginning. As we were finally leaving my sister sees the waitress and tells her they found the card. Her response was,"please don't come back". Shame on The Raven for treating this man so poorly. read more

Meh. Good view of Flathead Lake but I much prefer The Sitting Duck next door. We went here on recommendation that the food here was awesome. We all thought it was very, very average. I was starving and ordered ribs and fries. The ribs were overcooked slightly and the house made BBQ sauce left a lot to be desired. Fries were good, and had a decent beer selection here. We should have just came for a quick drink and ate elsewhere... but that's what we do next door at The Sitting Duck (where the food also leaves a lot to be desired). read more

First let me state that we are locals and have eaten at The Raven quite a few times. We go for the view. The food has always been fine as well as the service. We went for lunch today and immediately got a seat. Waiter came about 10 minutes later and took our order. Another 15 minutes go by and nothing. Complete crickets. I finally flagged him down and asked for our drinks and water. Again, crickets. Another 10 minutes goes by. He finally comes back to our table and tells us he forgot our order and did not enter it. So we ask him to take it again and he says he has more bad news. They shut down the kitchen and will not be serving food until 5:30. We sat for 1/2 an hour and nothing. No apology, nothing. I spoke to the manager as we were leaving telling her she should have at least feed the tables that were already seated and stop the people coming in from ordering. She WALKED AWAY FROM ME AND LEFT US STANDING THERE. No explanation and no apology. We were one of three tables that left and all of us were locals. We all talked in the parking lot about how badly we were treated. So they just lost 3 local families that will not go back. If this is how you run a restaurant then you have no business being in the service industry. I am a former waitress and bartender. I understand the restaurant business better then most and this is not how you treat people. I realize summertime is your bread and butter but if you do not treat locals better then this, who is going to keep you going once the tourist are gone? Our season is short in MT and the tourist will leave after Labor Day. What then? Nobody should be treated this way weather they are locals or not. Shame on The Raven for their epically bad customer service. We won't be back. read more

Eh not sure how to review this one. I'll start out with the positive, the view was amazing. We went around sunset and it was just spectacular. Food was ok- seemed more like bar food. Someone in my party ordered a burger and they refused to cook it medium. The server said they come one way, well done (with an attitude). "Take it or leave it" I was taken a back by this but mostly from his unwilling to explain and the tone of his voice. He said that usually they are very busy and it's hard for the chef to make burgers different ways. Ok? But the place was completely empty? Staff is a shit-show, un-trained and everything is sticky and/or dirty. Cocktails are meh, they're constantly out of most beers, and wines are really hit or miss this summer. They may or may not have servers downstairs but, they don't put signs up to tell you so you have to go up to the bar to figure out if you need to order there or wait for someone. I think fried food like the Gyoza are fine but items like the Greek Tacos may or may not come out in edible fashion. If they weren't on the lake there would be no reason to go. If you have to go, suggest fries and wine from a bottle or beer from a can. read more

I experienced this place on a late weeknight and had a great time with my brothers and others. The guy tending was friendly and made great conversation, which seems rare lately in the industry. Good prices too! I went on a weekend and the place was a freaking zoo packed with frat peeps and a DJ. In the summer this is the place in Bigfork area for the "cool kids". This place was recommended to us, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was hard to make a choice from their menu, the food all sounded so good. My husband & I both chose to go with the Blue Burger, and it was outstanding!! The burger came with fries, which were equally as good! We stayed to watch the sunset over the lake, which was so beautiful,with the waves crashing on the shoreline as the back ground noise. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Stopped here on our drive up to Whitefish. The location/view alone gets 10 stars. Service was really slow (only 1 waitress), but just make sure you get a spot with a view and order a beer, and then your wait won't even matter. I ordered the candied bacon bleu cheese burger...yes..."candied bacon." It.Was.Amazing. Not the healthiest option, but I guess if you order a juicy cheeseburger then health might not be on your radar for that particular meal ;-) You MUST MUST MUST order the sweet potato fries (and EXTRA garlic aioli)...the best SP fries ever.
