We went here for our 14th year anniversary and it was a very nice experience. All of the staff was absolutely wonderful, especially our waitress. She was very attentive, helpful, and personable. The hostess told us happy anniversary as we had indicated it was our anniversary dinner on our reservation. We sat at a special table and it was romantic as we were able to sit side-by-side and if it was earlier in the day, I'm sure we were able to see the river. But since it was a later reservation, we were not able to see anything. The food was absolutely delicious, my husband got the pork chop and I got the ribeye. For the sides we got the lobster mac & cheese, which was more than enough for two people and the asparagus. The asparagus came with a very delicious dipping sauce. First impression is everything. Hostess was seating when we arrived but upon her return, she didn't greet us but said "reservation?" I gave the reservation name and the Hostess said "we will seat you as close to your reservation time as possible, have a seat. No problem. Ramona the Waiters will be accusing you that's it could be a stolen Credit Card (When your showing her your Diamond Elite Players Cards, and other Credit Cards with same last name on them (sure was ok to book the reservation online with the exact Credit Card and if you didn't show up they would charge the Exact Credit Card a $75.00 no show fee...didn't ask me to show any form of ID) funny thing is that we were there for our Anniversary 2 weeks ago and used same exact Credit Card and other waitress had no problems (maybe it's because I was Hispanic) !! We eat here pretty much twice a month during river season & have always been provided excellent service and care from Forrest, James, Cheryl, Jorge, and Jorge (yes, two different people with the same name). We often bring guests who also agree that the ambience, food, cocktails, and service are 5 STAR! The prime rib, NY strip, Rancher ribeye, seafood pasta, and fresh daily fish specials are favorite entrees whikcreme brûlée, brookie, and ooey-gooey butter cake are scrumptious desserts. A nice dinner out for a friend's birthday. Thank goodness we made a reservation. We all very much enjoyed our meals, the ambiance, and service. Located inside Harrah's, it was really nice and hidden. As we made our way to the table, I noticed how clean and spaced out everything was. Our group of 4 shared calamari to start, enjoyed some delicious bread, and each indulged in our entrée of choice. The service here is amazing! They deserve five stars! The food on the other hand, is not anything to write home about but is decent. We spent over $150 with one glass of wine each and the best part was the bread, salad, and appetizer. We could have completely done without entrees and saved $75. I recommend going this route if you're on vacation, drinking, having a good time. I am a Caesar Salad queen, so if I say I like it - it's a good Cae Sal. I thought it was incredible! A lot of people say they don't understand the need for less than five stars, but I completely understand it. A lot of people that go to Laughlin come from Vegas, California, or Phoenix and it's not exactly fair to think that Laughlin is going to compare to the steakhouses in their hometown cities. Came for our 10 year anniversary (random last minute weekend trip) and they were phenomenal. I'm so happy that I found the Range because it was an anniversary to remember! The drinks were amazing, the crab cakes make me want to literally slap my mother, the calamari is the best in America (I stand by this unless anyone wants to prove me otherwise!!!) The steak was cooked to PERFECTION. Talk about cutting like butter and I didn't even need any steak sauce. Everything was soooo good. The garlic mashed potatoes were delightful, the sautéed mushrooms made me want to scream!!! And the BROCCOLI WAS MIND BLOWING!!!!!!!! If my mom made me broccoli like that as a kid I would eat nothing but that every day. Lastly the crème brûlée just pushed me over the EDGE. Whoever they had cooking in the kitchen on Nov 15th, 2023 at around 8pm needs to be given an award, a raise, and their own cooking show because the WORLD needs to taste this food. My husband and I went during December 2020. It was quiet and nice ambiance on the inside. People were spaced well enough apart and large parties (over 4) were separated into nearby tables. The food was just ok to me. My husband enjoyed his steak better than I did my prime rib. Unfortunately, it tasted like it had been frozen and I would think prime rib would be a good seller at a steak place. I won't fault them too much as it is probably hard to stay open and keep food during this time. The sides were good-we enjoyed the potatoes. Nothing wrong with the drinks either! The prices were a little much but they were advertising as a first rate restaurant so no surprise but as for the prime rib issue, that is my pet peeve-if you are going to charge me, give me the quality for the price! The staff was very nice as we arrived early and they were able to seat us earlier than our reservation. Our waiters were also polite and checked on us often to see if we needed anything. We initially wanted the prime rib but they were out strange for a Saturday night so I ordered shrimp and scampi special was a little salty and over cooked. My husband ordered New York steak at the price of $69 we were expecting something from Larsons or Ruth Chris but got something more from Vons just an average steak you would buy at the grocery store. Some mixed results at this fancyish steakhouse. The waiter George mentioned they had new owners and that caused the first problem. The onion soup is no longer served in an onion which is why I came here. We didn't like the weird bread either, which is due to be replaced. The crab legs at $63 seemed better off for the salad bar than for a main course and they were very dirty. The butter was available, but since they didn't have a way to keep it warm, it went ice cold. Also, the new onion soup had no bubbling cheese and wasn't worth the $10. Ranch dressing was supposedly good. George is leaving after 17 years and so will many old patrons. Very overrated. read more

Nice restaurant, good but painfully slow service. Food...not impressed. I had the chef's seafood special. Grilled prawns, seared scallops with jasmine rice and some sauce I didn't care for. Would have preferred the sauce on the side and for it to have been a buerre blanc. 3 prawns, 4 scallops... prawn was cooked perfectly, 1 was slightly rubbery, and the 3rd was so tough I was unable to cut or chew it. Scallops had no flavor other than the sauce, except for the one that tasted suspiciously bad. Thank goodness I immediately caught it and put it to the side. Hubby had the rib steak. Seasoned well and cooked to the correct temp. Garlic mashed potato side was dry...needed butter. Also ordered a wedge salad, which was "deconstructed" on a plate not big enough to reconstruct it. Delicious steaks and seafood! You can dress fancy or casual straight from the beach and they treat you no different. Service was excellent. I think you need a reservation, but not positive. I know they are not open all the time as well. It's a little pricey but the flavors and service are impeccable. George our server was great at answering all my first timer questions. As a steak house "snob" I was questing why the prices were not extreme like they usually are in my neck of the woods of California. The setting was perfect. Arrived to our party of 6 at 8:30, they informed us they could not seat us together as the largest party could be up to 5. So we decided to divide our 3 couples into 3 women and 3 men. The food was G to the R to the E to A to T! We ordered the prime rib, mashed potatoes, baked potato, wedge salad, asparagus, filet mignon, and the lobster mashed potatoes! I was able to taste everything and it was yummy! (Love eating out with friends! ) Food was perfectly cooked and season just right (not too salty). We ordered the lobster bisque for our soup appetizer and Jorge was kind enough to have the kitchen split it for us. The portion was a lot for it being $13 and it had lobster pieces in it. Harrahs is a distance from the main hotel area of Laughlin so I drove. Since it is off season, there were plenty of spots in either then garage or the surface lot by the entrance to the casino. Harrahs has two casinos ion Laughlin--a smoking and a non-smoking one. The Range Steakhouse is in the non-smoking casino. I made a reservation for 5:30 and arrived a few minutes before then. I was seated on an upper tier with a view of the Colorado. This is the one thing that restaurants at hotels in Laughlin have over many in Las Vegas--the view. I would have preferred to sit at the windows, and there was a two top available for most of the time I was there--but I took where I was seated and enjoyed. All dinners come with soup or salad and mixed vegetables. There are extra sides that can be ordered. First, I was brought my iced tea and some ice water. Then a server brought their homemade pumpernickel bread which was quite good. After studying the menu, I got the house salad (can be upgraded to a Caesar, spinach or wedge for an up charge of $4). I ordered the, 14 ounce NY steak and ordered Point Reyes blue cheese enhancement for $4. For dessert, I got their house special raspberry cheesecake in a chocolate cage. The salad was good but it was odd in a way. You have your choice of dressing but apparently they put grated, dry parmesan cheese on all salads. Since I ordered blue cheese dressing, this made for an odd combination. The blue cheese dressing was fantastic. They should forego the parmesan when you're getting a cheese dressing. The steak came and it was cooked perfectly--blue as I had ordered. The blue cheese topping was an enhancement. It surprised me in a wya because it was a sauce rather than crumbles melted under a broiler. I prefer this sauce method! There were some seasonal mixed vegetables with the steak. For dessert, the signature New York raspberry cheesecake was excellent! It's described on the menu as: an indulgent creamy slice of cheesecake in a graham cracker shell accompanied by raspberry sauce, fresh raspberries and a chocolate cage. The cheesecake was very good and the presentation was a delight. After dessert, they brought two chocolate crunch wafers much like restaurants will give you Andes chocolates at the end of meal.
