The overpriced kitchen sink omelette. Can to show scale.
Maeve B.

$20 for an omelette?! No thank you...it wasn't big, the eggs were overcooked, and the bacon was rubbery. This was the location on Montgomery and Wyoming.

After years of moving to ABQ, I had never been to The Range Cafe in person until recently. I was really surprised by how crowded/busy the place was. Even then, the staff told me what I saw was actually not their busiest hours yet! It was still some wait time for those who want to sit at tables. That said, I sat at a bar across from the kitchen...and frankly enjoyed seeing and learning how food got prepared and dished out to customers. To be honest, seeing how busy and how much hard work the wait staff had to do..I was so glad I didn't have to work there! It's real hard work! I got a homemade granola with fruits and yoghurt for breakfast ($11.99) and soda ($3.99) and was quite satisfied. The food was on an expensive side of scale, but seeing how hard the staff ahd to work and maybe how off I was with the whole inflation since I hadn'at eaten out properly all that much these days...I might be wrong to judge about pricing. That said, lots of options for breakfast/brunch. Also, I saw their homemade desserts,...and those were ginormous!! If you go by yourself..you probably need to make sure to bring leftovers home..or bring someone else to share with you! Good, lively place! I will be back!

Chocolate two-layer 10'' cake with chocolate fudge frosting and raspberry added to the frosting between the layers. Delicious!

I've always enjoyed the desserts at The Range restaurants but I didn't know they also make custom cakes until I checked out the website while planning a birthday party. I ended up ordering three 10'' round cakes in three different flavors: choc cake with choc fudge frosting plus raspberry filling(my fav); strawberry cake w/ strawberry frosting and filling; and carrot cake (w/o the carrot decoration). Andres was great at helping me pick out just the right variety. An added bonus for me was that, unlike most bakeries, The Range is open on Sundays so the cakes could be picked up on the way to the birthday brunch. And the icing on the cake was that they were very reasonably priced.

While the original Range in Bernallilo remains my all time fav, I love how delicious and consistent each location is. This one is closest to my house, so I tend to come here most often. I love how quickly the food arrives, the high quality of the food and the variety. They offer lunch after 11am and have a great breakfast menu with a mix of sweet and savory offerings. I have suuuuch a bangin omelette this weekend that I can't stop thinking about. Both the hostess and servers were so lovely and attentive. And don't get me started on the cute decor, I love the cows and whimsy!

For 13 of us, the service was exceptional! Rudy, our waiter had help from his buddies in the kitchen bringing out amazing dishes. We'll be back!

We walked in Range Cafe and was seated at a booth right away. It was very convenient while we had a small toddler who needed to sit in a booster seat. Service was very prompt with everything until the end where it did slow down bc it got busier. We did order a lot of food for 3 adults and 1 child. We spent about $120 after tip. I really enjoyed my Ruby Red Grapefuit juice, and would order it again. I had to share it with my toddler. I actually finished aafter we were done eating. I didn't finish my breakfast, however, bc it was a lot of food. I added impossible chorizo patties on top of my huevos rancheros with Christmas chili. Everything tasted fantastic. I will mention that my biscuit wasn't as tall as I remembered it last time. It looked like a basic biscuit, which was a little disappointing. I did enjoy it with the jelly anand butter. We ordered a brownie to-go, and I didn't enjoy it. I've never had trouble eating brownies, either. Even my family didn't really enjoy it. :/ Overall, will come again and try other dishes, and the pastries.

Stage area that has live music but I think it'd be even better for karaoke

Don't miss this place when you're in the Santa Ana Pueblo/Bernalilo area of New Mexico. In fact make it a point to go out of your way to get there if you have to. It is an amazing meal. We came here to try the Christmas breakfast burrito. And my friend had the Blue Corn Relleno Plate. Both were excellent probably the best chile relleno I've had in a while. The red sauce was a little too late for me a bit on the mild side and not so heavy with the red chile, but I was able to get an extra side of the green chile which more than made up for it. Tried the pickle juice bloody Mary which came with all the trimmings and was so delicious and my friend had the scotch ale. Hands down the service was excellent and attentive. Just wish we had had room for dessert. Especially when we past the bakery on the way out. The whole environment was wonderful and interesting with so many wall hangings including art for sale. The café is an institution.

Stopped in for dinner and some drinks since I hadn't been in a while. I love the decor in this spot, it's really just a fun atmosphere. It wasn't crowded and we got seated right away. Probably a good thing, since otherwise I would have been hanging out near the dessert case and they all look so good that that's never the best plan. I might forget that I intended to get a meal! The server was great about giving us time to read through the menu and make our decisions. She was also good about checking on us periodically, making sure the water glasses were full and we didn't need anything else. I got a house margarita and the relleno plate and they both hit the spot perfectly. The rellenos had a good amount of cheese and the chiles (I got mine Christmas) had a good kick to it. The margarita was a good accompaniment and definitely paired well. I need to remember to go back more often.

Here we are again at a restaurant in Albuquerque where I just want to start off by bragging about wonderful customer service. Annemarie was amazing, bubbly, and positive! It's professional servers like this that almost make you demand yourself to return. Thanks for making our day! The atmosphere was cute, with bright colors and lots of characters to see, and a giant bar! The food was..... amazing! Darn it! I want to find something not near perfect. Sitting next to my beautiful women makes it even better! I ate the huevos rancheros. She had the carne adovada and grits. And shared a turtle caramel, apple cheesecake! O'yeah! It was great. We're talking about returning after church tomorrow! No joke!

Wonderful lunch at range cafe!! 10% off your entree if you order a dessert before you order your meal, so I got the cream puff and it was AMAZING!! We all did the Thursday nacho special and it was delicious and a great deal! The service here is always INCREDIBLE, the staff is so sweet and kind!

It still feels like its former incarnation as a JB's to me, but Matt DiGregory's The Range Café on Wyoming has been here for some time now. It's reliable, but it's not the first place I ever think to head. The food is usually okay but sometimes disappointing and somehow doesn't ever seem as good as at the newer EDO location (that used to be DiGregory's Standard Diner) or the original location in Bernalillo, and the room doesn't feel as nifty, either. End result is that, while this is the closest outlet of the restaurant to where I live, it's the one I visit the least. But I'd like to pay well earned respect to our terrific server Nikki, who made our lunch today feel like something special: she was patient, on-it and welcoming in such a friendly way that we are more likely to give this location another go here soon.

Float of kraken if you must, but use some Caribbean rum in there! Service was great, atmosphere left room for improvement. Great for a casual few drinks with your meal. Solid spot! After the wait, a second drink was out of the question. 2. This is a vinyl lounge, and even though they had a setup for a DJ, there was no one playing but a speaker. 3. The Hefe is solid and delicious without the weird aftertaste and off flavors that 95% of them have. Just a clean, refreshing hefe. The DIPA is delicious and one of my faves. I still stand by that the IPAs here will stand up to any others we have around town and we have some good oens. We stopped in to watch football for a bit and the screens were plentiful, there was lots to do including darts, shuffleboard, and nearly every single game on at once. They've done a lot to the place and I really hope it sticks around - we need a place like this! Beers are super reasonably priced and they have a daily happy hour (including an all day happy hour on Monday!). This is a chill, cool place with lots of seating, lots of parking and ample food options around.

For being tucked away, this place gets pretty full once the week is over. Been here on a Tuesday and we had free reign on one of the four or five pool tables in the back. There is also a couple dart boards at the front of the joint. Thats what I like most about Dragon Horn is there is plenty of space and elbowroom to get funky on the felt without popping somebody in the ribcage with your cue. Just avoid coming during a league pool night to be honest, they jack down the jukebox for concentration purposes and the place fills up like a belly at a buffet. Dart area has its own tables so all in all the staff has really laid out the tavern well. Drinks are reasonably priced and plenty of parking because its in a strip mall and Albertsons closes at 11pm so the lot will be empty. If you're a smoker, their back patio is always a place to mingle and not be shoulder to shoulder with some burly biker. Live music is featured on the regular though Id like to see them mix up the genres a bit, its really a mix of the same. To wrap this sucker up, Dragon Horn Tavern is a pretty solid tavern you've probably driven by hundreds of times and never knew existed. As someone who has been there more than a few times (Its across Juan Tabo from mi casa) I can tell the neighborhood its nestled right in front of really supports and enjoys it, as I think you would, if your looking for a new spot to slam some cervezas. Mark my words, if they shook up the type of live music they featured and beefed their web presence with some more promotions and event nights, this would be a five star place to wet your whistle Id be proud to call mine.
