    2025 Breakfast Menu

Recently, the ownership has changed, and the food is better than ever! On Wednesdays you can get home-made meatloaf, and on Fridays is fish with all the fixings, but my favorite is Thursdays - it's like THANKSGIVING DINNER! Chicken and dressing, sweet potato casserole, yeast roll, and green beans with little chucks of ham like granny used to make. There is a lunch special every day and a huge selection to suit everyone. The food is home cooking and very, very good.

Stopped in for breakfast passing through on a cross country road trip. Food was really good. Had that home cooked taste that we love. Great value with most plates at or less than $10. Large portions. Kids had hotcakes with hot cocoa, adults had the classic breakfast plates with grits, toast, and coffee. All were pleased with the meal. Kids LOVED the cocoa and they're little connoisseurs. Our waitress was very nice, warm and friendly. Another was a bit less keen to make eye contact when approaching our table, and didn't smile very much... seemed a little cold. The hostess we checked out with was very friendly as well. The establishment is Blue Lives friendly. Patrons seem to know one another and you can tell it's a small community where everyone knows everyone. Dining area is clean. Ample parking. Ranch decor. Bathrooms are clean. Sit where you want. Now the other guests... some of them stared at us throughout our meal. Several tables just gave longer than usual gazes. We just smiled in return and they'd look away... but no return smile. One table of elderly women in particular really locked in on us. We smiled and gestured hello but that didn't render a return either. Just more staring from them. So much so that I had to look up the ethnic population in the city and discovered there's only a roughly 6% population of African Americans. So maybe they just hadn't seen any in a while? It was a bit odd, but driving through certain parts of the country it can be expected, I guess. A little off putting during the meal but I can't fault the Ranch House for that. Other than the odd staring, we had a very nice breakfast and would actually come back if we were passing through town again.

Had a great Friday fish lunch. The fried pickles are awesome. Everyone was very friendly and took care of all our dining needs.

! ! ! G R O S S F O O D ! ! !…read more This place is a JOKE! GROSS UNCONSUMABLE FOOD! This Sonic Drive-In technically deserves NEGATIVE STARS!!!! ALL the components of the cheese burger I ordered were sub-par! The burger patty was made from a frozen patty and was severely over cooked ... better to be used as a hockey puck! The sliced tomatoes were OLD and DETERIORATING! Really! Deteriorating, rotten tomatoes served in my burger! Once I saw the tomatoes, I wrote the burger off as food for my chickens. The lettuce was black and wilted ... it should be illegal to serve lettuce (and tomatoes) that should go into the compost pile. As for the pickles, I don't believe they qualify as being a true pickle ... the pickles in the burger was the lowest grade pickle I had ever seen or tasted. DISGUSTING! I also ordered "extra crispy tater-tots" which were UNDERCOOKED! They were so gross, I spit them into a napkin! The undercooked tater-tots tasted like they had been cross-contaminated with something completely unidentifiable. I am astounded that this place attracts so many customers with POOR SERVICE and the LOWEST QUALITY FOOD EVER! WARNING! DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO DINE HERE! Sonic Drive-In in DeQueen AR is NOT WORTHY OF YOUR MONEY! If everyone stopped going ... they would have to up their standards! Again, I DID NOT CONSUME my crappy cheese burger. The composting tomatoes and lettuce, the worst pickles, the hockey puck burger ... I'd probably been ill if I ate it. TOUGH LOVE: As the owner of this crap-hole ... be respectful of your customers! Use quality ingredients! Not discarded, CHEAP ingredients! You're a jerk for serving CRAP! Side note: DeQueen AR is a food desert ... the reason why Sonic Drive-In gets the business ... there is NO competition! Someone please open a worthy burger joint in DeQueen! Sonic Drive-In is worthy of the title "WORST BURGERS EVER!" QUESTION: WHERE IS THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT?! ****************************************

Tucked into the left-hand side of the modern Hochabow shopping center--right next to the chocolate shop--it's the kind of place that feels intentionally hidden, like it's saving itself for people who truly appreciate good coffee. The baristas are genuinely friendly in that effortless, warm way that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. You can tell they care about what they're doing, and it shows in the coffee: the beans are spot-on, balanced, and brewed with the sort of consistency that makes every sip feel purposeful. The space itself is cozy in the best possible sense--not cramped, but thoughtfully arranged so you can settle in with your laptop, linger over a cup, or just enjoy a quiet moment before heading back out into the world. It's a natural "stay awhile" spot, perfect for a few hours of work or an unhurried conversation. If you're in the Hochatown/Broken Bow area and want a place that feels like a calm, caffeinated retreat, Local Habit is absolutely worth the stop, in fact we went twice during our 4 day stay. It's the kind of coffee shop that becomes a part of your routine before you even realize it.
