If you wanna escape the city, but not go far, you can enjoy a bit of Tuscany in town. We've also had several parties under the cabana out by the pool... and everyone enjoyed a wonderful time.

The check-in instructions were vague "once you enter the gate"... we were not given a gate code. Naively, I assumed we might not need a gate code or it would be emailed to us closer to the date or the owner would message us with it. We pulled up to the villa directly after our wedding. The gate is closed and we have no code. Thankfully, someone else who was staying at the villa was behind our car and gave us the code. If he had not been there we would not have had anywhere to stay the night of our wedding, because the owner wasn't responding to my messages. Once we got inside, the room we were assigned had someone else's bags already in it. The man who gave us the code knew the owner's husband and called him out of the house. The person's bags were removed and he apologized for the mix-up. We were stunned by this entire experience but just wanted to turn in for the night in the room that we paid for. Really wanted to love this place because it is a beautiful property, but overall we had an incredibly disappointing experience. The rest of our stay there was fine, there is a kitchen available but in a shared area, for some reason I thought the kitchen included would be in the suite. The owner asked if we were going to use the hot tub so she could turn it on which was nice. But generally this place really lacks in customer service. For over $200/night you'd at least expect clear instructions to get into the place.

This was a…read morelast-minute getaway with some very unique circumstances, and Amy handled everything with such care, thoughtfulness, and expertise. She not only made it all come together seamlessly, but also saved us a few thousand dollars by choosing the perfect hotel and ideal travel dates. From the very beginning, we felt completely taken care of--and that feeling stayed with us the entire trip. What could have been stressful turned into something incredibly special. The experiences she planned were beyond anything we could have imagined. We spent our days laughing, bonding, and trying new things--ziplining through the jungle, ATVing through forests and shallow rivers, and even swimming half a mile through a breathtaking cenote. We saw dolphins and sea turtles, visited a beautiful Mayan village, and enjoyed some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we've ever had. There were also so many magical, unexpected moments--like spending time with monkeys and deer, and even spotting a massive wild stingray. Every day felt like something out of a dream. What meant the most to us, though, was how safe we felt the entire time. As someone who is usually a very nervous traveler, I can honestly say I felt completely at ease. Amy created an experience that was adventurous and exciting, yet always grounded in a deep sense of safety and trust. This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and we are so grateful to Amy for making it possible. Her attention to detail, her ability to understand exactly what we needed, and her genuine care for her clients set her apart in every way. We will be talking about this trip for years to come--and we cannot wait to work with her again.

I did not have one single negative interaction with her. During our trip, I called her once in a panic because I couldn't confirm a prearranged taxi to get to our train, and she responded even though it was midnight, California time. I cannot say enough positive things about her. We will most definitely go back to her for future trips! Oh, and YES! Our trip was amazing!

Shannon is professional, organized, experienced, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. She provided excellent recommendations on which ship and itinerary would be the best fit, and her firsthand knowledge of the Virgin Voyages brand really showed since she has cruised with them herself. Shannon helped with every detail of the trip, from assisting with meal reservations to organizing private tours during our stops in Victoria, B.C. and Vancouver. I truly didn't have to worry about anything or spend time researching -- I let Shannon plan the entire trip, and she absolutely delivered. The private tours were fantastic, and I learned and saw so many highlights of both Victoria and Vancouver. I especially enjoyed my time in Vancouver. Shannon booked a private tour for 8 of us, and it was so convenient being picked up directly from the port terminal. Our hotel for the overnight stay was only about a 5-minute walk away, so we were able to quickly drop off our luggage before heading out on a full-day tour of Vancouver. Thanks to the tour, I was able to see and experience so much more of Vancouver than I would have if I had explored on my own. We visited Butchart Gardens, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Olympic Village, Capilano River Hatchery, and Capilano Suspension Bridge, and we also drove by and learned about many other sites along the way. I had an amazing time on the cruise and met so many wonderful people, many of whom were also Shannon's clients. There were around 20 of us booked through her on the sailing, and it was great connecting with fellow travelers throughout the trip. This was such a great way to get my first taste of cruising and traveling to places I had never been before. I'm so glad I booked through Shannon and would absolutely recommend her to anyone planning a cruise or vacation!

Sitah and Dale (the owners) and their staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their affable mien, as well as their superb culinary skills, made our stay memorable and deeply satisfying. We chose the East Room. It is lovingly decorated, spacious, and well-furnished. The queen size bed, desks, sofa, mini-fridge, and heater that warms up the toilet seat provide just about all of the creature comforts one needs. The room also has a fire stove to delight the pyromaniacs and a huge, deep stone soaker tub that can easily accommodate two sumo wrestlers (or half a dozen jockeys). A couple of things to note: (1) There's no cell phone reception (at least not T-Mobile or Sprint). But there is free WiFi. (2) While the windows and skylights may infuse the room with a bright and cheery feel, they may make it hard for you to sleep in late. So don't forget to pack your sleep mask.

I am so delighted to now say that Sitah and Dale made the most special day of my life a total dream. After searching up and down the California coast for a place to get married that felt "right", I was feeling pretty disheartened and was ready to throw in the towel. But, on a whim, we decided to take a trek to Bonny Doon on our way to another venue location and I happened upon the Redwood Croft for a potential place for out of town guests to stay. And wouldn't you know it, they mentioned they host events on their website! My now husband and I took a day and drove down the coast from San Mateo and stopped in to chat with Sitah about her home. The place was (is!) stunning and from the moment we set foot on the grounds, we knew it was the perfect place to get married. Sitah and Dale charge a reasonable amount for the 2 night rental of their whole B&B, plus having nearly 100 people on-site for a wedding! It was so magical to spend the night there before the wedding, then to wake up and eat Sitah's homemade blueberry pancakes (which she made a batch gluten free for me! So amazing!) and spend the rest of the day primping and relaxing before we said "I do!" on their beautiful back lawn and garden. They made everything go so smoothly and they opened their home to my family for the weekend -- it made the wedding weekend just sublime. Before we had our big day, the hub and I spent an impromptu overnighter at the Croft, just to get a feel for it. Our night was peaceful (we stayed in the East Room) and I can't wait to go back now and spend special weekends and anniversaries there. Thank you, Sitah and Dale, for making our day a true piece of romance. Our memories will be sweet and our life will be grand and you had a hand in making that come true for us!
