The apartment is exactly like the photos and video, and the owners couldn't be nicer or more helpful - right from the start with excellent communication to get moved in and a few amenities in place for us. The kitchen is great - it has everything you need to cook at home and is comfortable to be in. (I spend a lot of time there!) The rooms are a nice size for us, and there's a good amount of storage. I love the floor and decor - it really is very home-y. The complex itself is very green and lush. Neighbors, when we see them, are friendly but generally keep to themselves. It's usually pretty quiet and some of the neighbors apparently also cook, so each evening it smells great outside. The pool is just outside of the patio and the laundry room is very close. (We planted some flowers outside so if you're here, please water them, and use the basil and stevia! :) Apartment location is great. You can walk down the magnolia tree-lined street to a good Chinese restaurant around the corner. There's also a 7-11, laundromat and, a little farther (but still walkable), a huge shopping center with everything from Kohl's to Sprouts, Whole Foods, more restaurants, bank, etc. Lots of people here ride bicycles, and there's a foot/bike path in the neighborhood that has a very pretty short cut to Palo Alto. A quick car or bike ride will get you to downtown Mountain View with lots to do and places to eat. We feel very fortunate to have found the Flat and new friends in Rambo and his family. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place in Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos or Palo Alto!

The flat itself was clean and everything was exactly where it should be. Nice furniture suitable also for children, all necessary kitchen tools and all other supplies. We stayed together with our baby and the apartment has everything you need for a trip like this. The community is quiet and you can't hear the busy world outside of it. Our car was parked safely inside the gated community. We really enjoyed the flat in Mountain View and will likely return if possible.

Annie herself is the coolest, completely non-imposing, but so open, kind and welcoming, that anything you need while you are there she happily and quickly answers and supplies. The property is absolutely gorgeous with tropical landscaping and panoramic views of redwoods. The spa was amazing. You get 90 minutes per night included with your stay. The spa has a hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, shower and bathroom. There is an amazing sound system, plenty of towels, robes, and sanitized slipper sandals. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Friday, we had the whole property to ourselves. Saturday, we saw another couple or two. Since the property is adults only, the entire stay was very quiet and peaceful. Once we got done in the spa we took the path down to the private lake. There is no swimming, but we spent a long time out there watching the ducks and a deer. We stayed in the "charming studio" which was the perfect size for a couple. The bed was comfortable. The room had remote controlled AC. There was a studio apartment sized fridge/freezer, a microwave and a toaster oven. Plenty of dishes. The bathroom was large for a studio and had shampoo/conditioner/body wash and again, plenty of towels. The hosts, Oleg and Elada were extremely nice and welcoming. They live on the property near the cottages. Elada greeted us with a bottle of wine and tour of the property, including the entrance to a private hiking trail. Later on, Oleg told us some history about the property. He mentioned that due to the expense of maintaining such a large and beautiful property, they are considering converting the cottages into long-term rentals. I feel so lucky we were able to stay there before then. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing getaway. Book sooner rather than later, since this place may not be available for short-term rentals for much longer! Notes: - Book directly on their website to avoid Airbnb's fee - Google map directions were accurate - No 4WD/high clearance car required - I recommend doing the drive there in daylight, at least for the first time, due to the last few miles being narrow and winding.
