We are getting older and our work takes all of our energy. We requested a deep clean. They cleaned more than I could have imagined. The team of 4 was here at least 5 hours. After having an unexpected long job in the morning they were kind, flexible and in good humor right until the end. They were easy to communicate with, in my only language, English. They asked questions if they encountered unknowns. I appreciated that. Communication before the job was easy. After a few exchanges a walk through was done on Zoom. There seemed to always be someone there to answer text questions very quickly. That was more than I expected. Numerous reminders were sent out to keep me on track. So appreciated. Text information was send about the delayed arrival and again when they were on the way. They told me that the work could be done unattended if I arranged to leave a key out. That would have freaked out the cat too much, so I was there. But, good to know. It was easy to pay at the end of the job with Venmo. They take other forms of payment too. I had two major issues that prevent me from using this company again. First, a serious safety oversight occurred: one of the cleaners accidentally turned on my stove dial while wiping it down and left it on. I left for the weekend right after they finished and came home days later to an apartment filled with propane. Second, dealing with the owner was uncomfortable. They were overly pushy about locking in consistent cleaning schedules and flatly refused to give me $20 in change during payment. Getting on their calendar was a little challenging, presumably since many people were trying to schedule their voucher redemption. I was finally able to get a timeslot that worked. Because I needed to meet the crew during the day, and had to leave work to do so, I asked to be notified when they were headed to my apartment. While they did contact me, saying they were 30 minutes out, in fact it took them about an hour from that time to arrive. When the crew did arrive, they got straight to work and hit the two biggest areas of concern, in this case the kitchen and the bathroom. They worked quickly and efficiently, making the place cleaner than it had been in a long time. Maybe I'll actually get my deposit back. I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend BMS to anyone needing housecleaning services.
