Fabulous selection and service!! Very friendly. I even bought my new machine from here. Totally worth a trip!!

This shop is my happy place. The fabric is out of this world! I beeline for the Tula Pink section and immerse myself in color. They have so many gorgeous options I always circle the shop at least twice to make sure I haven't missed anything. They also have a special wall for African print designs - I've never seen that in a quilt shop before. They're fabulous about keeping their inventory fresh, so there is always a new tool for me to covet when I walk in. This store is like a goody bag for adults. The owner is almost always there, she knows so many shoppers' names. Whenever I buy fabric there she tells me to come back with pictures of my finished product and she oohs and ahhs over it - she's so sweet. You can tell everyone that works there loves sewing. It feels like you're talking to friends who just happen to work there and love crafting like I do. I'm going to end with the superficial lol. It is so cute inside! It's on the smaller side but feels huge the way they have it designed. The lighting is great; there's hardwood floors; it feels very upscale. I especialy love the sewing machine section because they are placed on Koala sewing tables. That is my dream sewing table. And something so expensive needs to be tested in person first. I used to have to drive far out of Chicago to a suburb to find a sewing store this fantastic. It's a neighborhood gem and I'm so thankful it's here. read more

The QT had lots of things going for it. It was near me, quick response and quick machine repair turn around. HOWEVER!!!! I would say to anyone trying to get their sewing machine tuned up to think about the value of the machine they're bringing. It might be cheaper to just buy another one. Cost me $119 to have them do anything to it. Shame on me bc I didn't ask. Looked my machine up online and the going cost for this machine could be anywhere from $25 to $50. Use YouTube and tune it up yourself. If you're unsuccessful then just head to a store to get a new one. read more

The staff at Quilters Trunk are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and just delightful. I took a beginners class on quilting recently and now I'm hooked, I immediately signed up for the next course. The instructor Joan was patient giving hands on instruction to each student, making sure that we were understanding the process. The business offers a variety courses throughout the year. I highly recommend them for all your sewing needs!! read more

I got my sewing machine fixed here and there was no problems at all. Everyone was super nice and helpful and the prices were reasonable based on everything that needed to be fixed. I would definitely go here again and they have some nice restaurants all around so another plus. read more

Katie and Lisa are absolutely wonderful, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable about sewing, quilting, bag and apparel making. The joy in this shop is the fact that they get to know you and the projects you are working on. There are classes galore that will get you out of your sewing comfort box. They are a Bernina and Baby Lock dealer and they know their machines. Need to send your machine to the 'spa' for cleaning or a well being check up? Every Friday, there's someone on site to do that. Fabrics are on trend, and so are the patterns and books. I highly suggest going to check them out. read more

May I share how wonderful this shop is?!? They are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They made me feel so welcome. And the selection of fabrics is outstanding! I was blown away by all of the lines they carry. Plus they have some beautiful and unique fabrics from Asia and Africa! Additionally, they have a great selection of sewing machines and notions! They were offering a fun ruler demo at noon, but I was there too early to take part. And again, the team is so kind and friendly! All in all such a fantastic experience. I attended the Beginning Quilting class today and had an amazing experience! The instructor Debbie was very knowledgable and explained in detail each step in the process along with instructions and tips to use for future projects! The staff was also available and helpful as we created our designs!! I am experienced sewer and learned many helpful techniques for quilting as this is a new arena for me. I love this store!! I was visiting from Dallas, TX. I was having trouble finding my way- I talked to Kate a couple of times! She was gracious and helpful!! They offered me cold water when I arrived and helped me look for the perfect bunny fabric. That's a whole other story! LOL! I bought a lot of bright, colorful fabric that makes me happy! Following postage of my review, the business owner contacted me directly regarding my poor experience. Immediately on the phone she was very pleasant and apologetic for what had transpired. She made no excuses and had suggestions on what she could do to make the situation better. I appreciate her sincerity in wanting to give me a more positive experience. She kindly offered to add an extra new owners class, a few weeks from now, so that I do not have to wait until September. Looking back, the employees error was an honest mistake and in hindsight it did not deserve the scrutiny and attention I gave it. Every business has hiccups and I happened to just be there for a few of them. After speaking with the owner, I feel confident that my experience will be fantastic from here on out. Even though I live out of state, it will be worth the 90 minute drive to visit this shop again. Although I arrived very close to closing time, I was warmly welcomed into the shop by all employees and left with a "new to me" embroidery machine. Sharon took the time to explain the machine and any necessary products that made me successful in setting up the machine at home. Lisa and Sharon patiently responded to my many questions. When I went looking for a new sewing machine last spring, I made the trek from the North Side to The Quilter's Trunk in Beverly because they were the closest Bernina dealer. With the help of staff and one of the owners, I was able to decide on an entry level Bernina that I love. The fabric selection is extensive, and they carry Aurifil thread, among other high quality notions. I am looking forward to my next trip to buy several fabrics to fit into my next quilting project. read more
