I requested a quote from the Quiet Cool Guys for a whole house fan through yelp. I received a response quickly and the price was very reasonable. Robert and Larry came out to complete the install and did a phenomenal job. Very helpful and professional and did a nice job cleaning up. The fan itself works great. It cools and freshens the house very quickly and is quiet. The switch includes a timer, which is helpful and the warranty seems very good. Overall extremely happy with this purchase. I have yet to see how this will impact our energy bill, but seeing how quickly this cools the house (with fresh outside air rather than conditioned air) it can only decrease our monthly costs. I called and spoke with the owner several months ago to ask about our system not cooling like it should. A different company had done the install and I saw good reviews for The QC Guys so I thought I needed to have someone look at or troubleshoot my system. Over the phone I was told that to come out and check the system would be a house call that I would be billed for, even if they didn't find anything wrong. It was the start of some warm weather and we hadn't used our QuietCool fan since the previous Summer. The owner explained that when the outside air temperature is within 4-5 degrees of the air inside the house it seems like no cooler air is coming in. He reminded me the proper way to crack my windows and to wait until the outside air was cooler, then when I used my whole house fan we would feel the air moving. He said if it still didn't make a difference to call again. I did what he recommended and it did cool the house. There was nothing wrong with our system. This kind of straight information and honesty saved me $90 for a service call. That's worth a high rating any day of the week. read more

I decided to call The QuietCool Guys after being dissatisfied with the location another company was telling me was my only option for the vent location. I have a very tight attic space. I purchased a CL-5400 QuietCool and am disappointed. The unit was very expensive but most of all WAY TOOOOOO noisy. I installed it according to their Youtube installation videos but even on LOW I have too crank up the TV to drown out the fan noise. The unit gave a decibel reading of 52 on low and 60 on high. I called tech support and got no resolution. It would be MUCH better if the unit had a DC motor with Variable Speed to make it go slower and quieter. If you get one of these, DO NOT put it in a room that you use as a living space like Family Room, TV Room, or a Bed Room. read more

After reading all the good reviews and actually talking to quietcool, I had really high hopes for this attic fan. I spoke with someone at quietcool explaining my situation of hot attic temps from 100-120deg F. I told them the square footage which my house is only 3000sq/ft, with a small attic space but plenty of sofit vents and another gable vent on the other side for plenty of fresh outside air to be drawn in. I was told this fan would work perfectly and should drop temps by at least 30deg. I ordered TWO Attic fans (6000CFM). Anyways, once up and running, I was excited to get this fan going and see those temps drop. I was having constant problems on hot days where the AC would constantly run all day trying to cool the house down, so I purchased this in hopes of solving that problem. I had the fan running all through the night and the next day was 92deg F out. First thing I noticed with the fan is you can definitely hear it running on high speed and low speed inside the home even with the rubber isolators. It definitely is not a quiet fan. You can hear this thing run from both bedrooms and from other parts of the house such as the kitchen. This wasn't a non-selling feature for me. I was more concerened with if it works and cools the attic, then my family and I will deal with the noise. Unfortunately, on that next day, I took multiple manual attic temps and paid attention to the onboard temp reading from the app and it did not drop the attic 1 deg F...At this point I was disappointed but decided to give it a few more times on different days. After trying this thing a total of 20 times, different outdoor temps, even mid to low 80s, it has done nothing for dropping temps. Now, this fan is pretty much a decoration piece and waste of money. There is no point for me to run this fan and waste electricity when it does absolutely nothing. Maybe if you live in a cooler climate like up north, you will have some temps drop...but here in sunny CA, it's a no go. That's my story. I was really hoping it would work, and give the AC a break and help extend it's life longer, but that's a no go! read more

Was referred through nextdoor by multiple neighbors. Now I know why--from the first inquiry call I made to the time I was able to use the product, each person was professional and helpful. I was able to get an appointment within a week, the installers were courteous and wore their masks the whole time. I paid with my card before they left, all very seamless. The cooling system itself also gets good marks from us. We've thoroughly enjoyed the coolness and air circulation these last couple of weeks but it was a little tricky figuring out which windows to keep open for optimal air movement. The system is definitely quiet as we can hardly hear it when it's on low. Even on high we can't hear it with the tv on. Understand it is not ac so you don't get that cold air rush and when it's 90+ outside, the house will not completely cool down. read more

The QuietCool Guys products are great and their service is excellent! We live at the lowest point, at the bottom of a bowl or hollow, of our neighborhood in Mission Viejo. As such, the cool evening air flows over our home and not through it. Worse, our attic heats up throughout the day and acts as a convection oven overnight, making our home uncomfortable to sleep in. That all changed for the better when we purchased our QuietCool Fan! Each evening and throughout the night during The Simmer of '17 sOCal Heatwave we've run our QuietCool Fan and been very comfortable with the fresh breeze it draws through our home. All that cool air is drawn into our attic and pushed out the attic venting system... Leaving the attic cool enough to drop the house temperature 10 degrees below the outdoor temp during the day. The added benefit is had when the A/C unit doesn't need to be run so cold and for so long just to make the interior comfortable. We've demonstrated our QuietCool Fan to three neighbors... Since, one neighbor has had a system installed in their home and the other two are going to make purchases soon. What is most impressive in all of this is The QuietCool Guys service and support after they've made their money on the sale and installation. Our motor failed (it's a given, all mechanical systems are prone to failure at some point) and The QuietCool Guys were here on the next business day to remedy the situation. It's nice to know you can count on a company to stand behind their product(s) after the sale is complete, most times that's when the really hard work begins. There was a little drywall issue they pointed out to me and immediately told me their drywall guy would come out and fix it. Sure enough I got a call from the Owner and the drywall guy the same day. I was impressed. Then we noticed a small water leak from the area of the vent which is adjacent to the A/C unit. I emailed the owner and within minutes he responded and scheduled a crew to come out the same day. They found the problem and went out of their way not only to fix the problem, but to do it right. On Monday, I received a very competitive emailed price quote from Ryan which included a free remote. By Tuesday, Sonny and his crew had my fan installed within 30 minutes (cleanup included)! After Sonny gave me a tutorial on the remote and optimal negative pressure, we tested it out. The difference is amazing! (Very comparable to low with others in my area). I picked a date in the future that I really needed them to make and it had to be in the afternoon. Very impressed with the Quietcool fan I purchased, AND the install from the QC guys!. I emailed them for a quote after 5pm, expecting to get contacted the next day. Drew responded that same evening with a no nonsense quote. I called him the next day to discuss what I was thinking about, and it was clear he had a LOT of knowledge around the product, and how it would perform. Due to my home size, and desire for the most efficient fan, I went with the Stealth 7.0. The 2 man team that arrived to install it 2 days later sent me a text when they were 20 minutes from my location, arrived on time, and answered my pre install questions. I showed them the attic access, and told them I might be interested in 2 fans (one for the master bedroom). After they looked at my attic, they told me that due to the amount of venting I had, I would need to install more venting to have the second fan operate properly. I really appreciated that because I was ready to spend money and they could have just "taken my money" but they recommended what was appropriate. The install was done in less than an hour, and I have been extremely impressed with the fan itself. The fan pulls hard enough to have an actual breeze flowing from the open window. I had several bids before finding them through the website of QuietCool. Their price is the most competitive while another one that went through lots of stuff, having me walk around the house counting air outlets on the roof, etc. ended up with a very high bid and lots of contingency, essentially an open ended bid. Another one is more than around 50% of their bid and then fessed up a rebate when told their bid was high that they weren't going to tell me. These guys came out directly about the rebates and looked at the satellite photo of my house to assure me I have enough air vents in the attic. They came and finished the job quickly and cleanly. Just trying out their Trident 7X system tonight and it works fine and quietly. The flow is fairly strong though not as strong as the old fashion system we had in the East coast but that system was very noisy though it cools off the house faster than this. In the end I much prefer this quieter system. read more
