My previous experience with recruiting firms in the finance/technology space was dismal, consisting…read moreof rushed conversations with recruiters that were mostly interested in pushing as many candidates into as many interviews as possible. I felt this both as a hiring manager and also when it came time to find a new opportunity myself, so more or less wrote off the entire industry as a hustle. Grady Levkov is *not* that type of firm at all and the fact that I'm compelled to write a review for a recruiting firm hopefully demonstrates what an outlier I feel they are in the industry. From my first conversation with Josh Levkov, which lasted over an hour (approximately 59 minutes longer than most conversations with recruiters), I knew that something different was going on. He took the time to actually digest my background, ask a lot of questions about my goals, and, most importantly, not try to sell me on a specific opportunity or agenda. Once I agreed to meet a very elite and targeted group of companies, I quickly learned that the executives there also had a positive bias towards Grady Levkov, presumably because of successful placements in the past (including themselves). Ultimately, I ended up with a perfect opportunity and am 100% convinced that it would not have have happened if I went with another recruiting firm or, worse, a random assortment of cold-calling recruiters. Throughout the process, whether my interviews went well or poorly, I was treated with a lot of respect and honesty. There was constant communication each step of the way from both Josh and his team, and even after my offer was signed, follow-up calls to ensure that everyone was happy with the fit. The experience was such a positive one that I will now *only* use Grady Levkov in the future when conducting my own candidate searches. To me, they are a "throwback" type of firm, embodying the idea that good people need good people to find good people. Hopefully this review will save others the time of looking elsewhere.

Bea Kaufman doesn't fool around. You either have the skills she can pass on to her clients, or she will loose her clients. Simple as that. I've recommended my friends who are looking for work to go through Bea, since she will guide them in their search for work, whether it is "here and there" or part-time, or temp to perm. It's appropriate to cater to clients, but she is most caring and appreciative of good workers, and pays a FAIR wage. That's important for the worker AND the client. No one wants to work for lower than what they're worth, and you don't want to have unskilled labor temping in your office. As far as comments regarding her not getting back to a future employee, there are probably 400 applicants for every position. In this economy and the environment we are in, it is best for any temp to persistently call their agent. It's the only way to get a job, anywhere.

I am a lawyer (JD/LLM) with two years of legal work experience. I first reached out to Bon Temps in December, looking for short-term legal/paralegal work while searching for a full-time job. Send me your resume, she says. I send it. No response. In February, I followed up with two more emails and voice message. No response. March, nothing. April, nothing. Daisy Jimenez was such a delight to deal with. It was evident from the minute she coordinated the interview with me, and during the actual interview itself, that she's been doing this for a long time, and I've never felt so at ease while applying for a job. While she was the epitome of professional, I really felt as if I was talking to an old friend that I haven't seen as a while and not someone who was reviewing my resume to see if I was a fit for their available positions. Greg Bernhardt, who is one of the partners of the firm, met with me after my initial interview with Daisy, and he was equally as professional and personable. Once we had finished speaking with one another, he promptly made his way over to his desk, and started making phone calls on my behalf. Half an hour after I left their office, I had a request for a zoom interview for this upcoming Friday. Last but not least, Babien Avila, had such a fantastic energy about her, and although she didn't interview me, she kept checking on me while I was waiting to be seen and after I told her I was hungry, she went out of her way to get me some food as well as a much needed cup of coffee. While I was there, it was very clear that despite being a small firm, they were a very tight knit group, who worked efficiently together, while still being able to find time to laugh and smile with one another. The last time I walked into a corporate office, the misery was palpable and you didn't feel welcome at all.
