Betts Recruiting deserves all the credit for making my job search such a positive experience. A huge shoutout to Kaitlyn Soloway, who was absolutely incredible to work with. She was responsive, supportive, and truly invested in helping me find the right fit. The entire Betts team operates with professionalism and care, and it really shows. If you're looking for a recruiting partner who actually listens, communicates, and delivers, Betts Recruiting -- especially Kaitlyn -- is the way to go. Highly recommend! read more

I've had a really great experience working with Kaitlyn at Betts Recruiting. We first connected over a phone call, and from the start she was easy to talk to and genuinely interested in understanding my background and what I'm looking for next. Since then, she's been incredibly thoughtful about checking in when it makes sense and sending role recommendations whenever she comes across opportunities that could be a good fit for me. It never feels pushy or transactional, just supportive and well intentioned. I really appreciate how intentional and consistent she's been, and I'd absolutely recommend working with her and Betts Recruiting! read more

After a very brief (3 minutes) and impersonal conversation with one of the recruiters here, I reached back out to her via email and received no response - very unprofessional. Not impressed with this agency. read more

This lady is amazing. Seriously. I reached out to her about roles in NYC or California initially (I'm not sure) but then I told her I wanted to actually move to Boston to be closer to my brother with the big C. She not only understood, but helped me get in contact with the right people in helping to land me my next job, which I now have in Boston. Raquel is a one of a kind caring individual. She doesn't just go after money, but rather goes after helping people if she has the free time to do so. Which she makes! This is why she will easily be an unreal recruiter or really anything she puts her mind to. Hire this lady for a city she actually can place you a job in. If she can do it for me outside of a city she specializes, imagine a city she actually does. Thank you, Raquel. You are amazing! read more

Working with Sarah Scheer over the past month or so has been a fantastic experience. From her communication to interview preparation I never felt left out, underprepared or not important on the list of daily activities. I am comfortable in assuming this professionalism extends throughout the entire organization and I look forward to the next time I have to work with Betts. If you are looking for a job, especially the right job, you have to use Betts! Thank you again to all that helped me out! read more

I had a great experience working with Betts Recruiting. I worked with associate, Chris Martin, throughout the hiring process and highly recommend him for anyone looking to work with a recruiter in NYC. From our very first meeting, I felt confident that he honestly had my best intentions in mind and I never once felt pressured to make a premature decision. He listened to my goals and what I was looking for in a company and was able to provide me with four positions I might be interested in during our first conversation. He was a great resource throughout the interview process and our prep work really made me feel confident ahead of each discussion with my potential employers. I knew from very early conversations which company was my front runner, and while I enjoyed my conversations with the other companies, I was very transparent with Chris so that he could potentially go to bat for me. Chris was very realistic with me and was able to let me know if I was interviewing against many other candidates, which was somewhat nerve wracking, but helped. My only suggestion is If you are currently in the process of working with a recruiter, be very transparent and honest about what you like and do not like about these companies. In the end it is not only about getting you hired, but also getting you hired at a company you enjoy working. Thanks for everything, Chris! read more

Complete waste of time. The only point in working with Betts is to secure lower level roles, otherwise they are mostly spinning your wheels. I "worked" with Gabby Michnoff, but it's hard to say she actually did work or did anything. After an initial phone call, in which Gabby was somewhat insulting and condescending, we scheduled an in-person meeting. Gabby shamed me for my work history but offered to set up interviews with four different companies. None of those interviews came about, and Gabby was highly unresponsive and at times seemed to forget we were even working together. Gabby's cavalier attitude and blatant unprofessionalism were frustrating at best and completely terrible at worst. I'd avoid her at all costs. I've also connected colleagues with Gabby, who have had a similarly poor experience. This was my second time working with Betts and I'd strongly recommend anyone considering them to go another way, there are much better ways to land your next role and odds are it won't be with Betts or recruiters like Gabby. read more

The firm seems to specialize in sales within technology firms. Most jobs are base salary + commission. Not bad if that is your goal :) Suggested that instead of calling you go to their website and click on 'Find a job', which will generate a request and call back from them. read more

Working with Betts Recruiting was truly a blessing. I specifically worked with Arleigh Lane, who was amazingly supportive in every step of the way. The entire process was refreshingly transparent. We started with a phone call where she asked me questions about what I'm looking for and what my current position is, so she can gauge if it would be a beneficial relationship and to help me find a good fit. We met in person after that, where she took a deeper dive into my career goals and also laid out several opportunities. It was amazing - 30 minutes after I left the Betts office, I already had 2 phone interviews on the calendar! I wanted a new job fast - and I landed an offer at a company I really fell in love with in just under 2 weeks. I'm really impressed by the individualized attention - we had a prep call and debrief before and after EVERY interview! As a result, I was able to go into every interview feeling really prepared and confident, and got feedback from the interviewers as well (unheard of in a traditional recruiting process). It was a whirlwind of a two weeks, but having Arleigh by my side was like having a supporter and a friend who cheered me on throughout. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy I worked with Arleigh and her team! read more

I had an amazing experience with Bett's recruiting. I worked with Mike Rooney, and he was awesome to work with. What I noticed with most recruiters is they wouldn't take the time to really understand what I wanted out of career and try to find the best fit. They'd say "Send me your resume, and I'll see what I can do." But Mike had a very long in-depth conversation with me and would find opportunities that were a great fit. Beyond that, he would get on the phone with me and prepare me for every interview. He'd tell me what questions I should be asking and how to appeal to each person interviewing me. Mike's guidance landed me two job offers where I felt so confident going into the interview. On top of that, Mike offered to help me decide if I wanted to take the job, he helped me negotiate my salary, and offered to look at my contract. He even offered to help me find an apartment in New York City when I accepted my job. To say the least, Mike exceeded my expectations and more importantly produced amazing results. I would recommend Betts recruiting to anyone looking for a Sales and Marketing job. They'll make your lives and job search process much easier. read more

Upon moving to New York, I was fortunate enough to be able to work directly with Andrea Glick from Betts Recruiting. She took note of my interests and strengths and matched me with my dream job within a month of working with her. I especially appreciated the fact that she took into account the type of company culture I was seeking. She is extremely personable, preps thoroughly prior to and after interviews, and performs above and beyond her set duties with every opportunity she bridges. Andrea is also refreshingly efficient and made herself available throughout the entire process. There's literally no one else that could have assisted me with landing a job at a reputable company as quickly as she did. With that said, I will definitely be recommending Andrea to all my friends and colleagues! read more

Betts Recruiting offers unyielding support amid a friendly, professional atmosphere. They dedicate an entire team to helping you find the right employment fit and come to you with incredible insight about their partners / your future employers. Sara Altman was a particular bright spot in how she dealt with my employment search firsthand, even offering to speak with me before and after my interviews with prospective employers. Sara is the quintessence of professionalism. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking a job in the tech startup field, and even more so if you would rather interact with decent, kind people versus headhunting drones (as featured in other recruitment offices). read more

Three words: Betts. Is. Awesome. I work in account management and am currently in the middle of searching for a new job, and I'm so impressed with the hard work that Betts has put into finding me a position. I've been working with Aly and I'm really impressed with how great of an advocate she's been in finding companies that fit my interests and getting my name out there to them. I've had multiple phone interviews and a job interview (and job offer, although I elected not to take it since it ultimately wasn't the best fit) in just the past two months alone. Aly has always been proactive about describing the companies and positions, sending over information and tips about interviewing and scheduling prep calls before each interview to make sure we're on the same page. As a disclaimer, I'm fairly entry level with a few years of sales/account management experience under my belt, so my experience is really only applicable to SDR (sales development representative) positions and I don't have much knowledge about the recruiting experience with higher-level positions. Overall though I'd recommend Betts to anyone in my same professional position and would especially recommend working with Aly as I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience with her. read more

Betts has a wonderful reputation and I was happy to receive an invite to the office. My original recruiter's experience was awesome and I was excited to join because of it, but he stepped down after quite a long time with the Betts. Next up was a committed, knowledgeable and spritely professional who always takes your best interest full circle. Too bad I can't leave an extra star! First, Julianne Connors' dedication is unmatched! Second, she took on another client to her already full stack and treated me like her own. Third, she had great insights to every company and the big players throughout each interview process. This bit of information is so simple, but it's not always quality and that has a big impact over the phone and in-person. What makes Julianne different is her coaching ability, listening skills, organization and the ability to hammer down real opportunities VERY fast. A true professional with great communication skills. We've all had some good and terrible experiences with recruiters, so without her mentioning I was happy to leave reviews for her which I have done for no one else. You leave as a friend and at ease. Best of luck on your job search candidates and you'll be better off working with Julianne. read more

Tyler Mullin is an amazing asset when looking for your next position. In my personal experience he was extremely helpful in helping me prepare and do extremely well in multiple interview rounds. Recruiters are unprofessional. Worked with Rachel Karawan, she threw a tantrum over the phone because I needed more time before moving forward with a job offer. I didn't think it was appropriate to work with her anymore and requested to work with someone else at the company. Her manager Lavar Nava was even worse. Lavar told me that I wouldn't be able to work with any other recruiter because she trained Rachel personally. These women were absolutely insulting, they took no responsibility for their behavior. No empathy what so ever. I had to arrange for the San Francisco office to take over managing my job offers. I do not recommend working with this agency. read more

I had the opportunity to speak with Lauren from Betts Recruiting. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or what but couple things stood out to me. 1. We had scheduled to have a phone call, and she forgot completely. I called her and had to reintroduce myself and the fact that we had a phone call scheduled. She then told me she's on pacific time, which I was not sure what I was supposed to do with the information. My resume did say New Jersey. Very awkward start. 2. Currently, they do not have any positions for me, a senior accountant / auditor. Perhaps Betts recruiting doesn't really place people for accounting/ finance roles so probably look for another recruiting firm if you are seeking those positions. p.s. today is 4/12/2017. I never got that supposed reach out from the comment below. Just to be in all fair disclosure. read more

Betts is the golden standard for recruiting firms. In working with Ryan, I have had a phenomenal experience. From start to finish the goal was not only to find a job but to find the perfect fit. I had a great experience working with Betts Recruiting. I worked together with Grace Putnam, and from the moment she reached out to me on LinkedIn it was great. At that point I was already speaking to multiple companies but she introduced me to a ton of other companies she was working with. So make sure you are ready to start interviewing straight away! First of all, Grace is one of the most positive and enthusiastic people I've ever met. What makes working with her fantastic. She not only introduced me to all these new options but also followed up with me before and after each interview, she made sure I knew everything I need to know before you go into an interview and prepared me on the questions I would get during the interview. She also kept me in the loop for new opportunities and basically did everything what a good recruiter should do! I finally decided to sign with a company that I was already speaking to, but if you're looking for a job in tech please call Bett's and ask for Grace. You will not be disappointed I promise! read more

I had the honor of working with Betts Recruiting over the last few months. I got contacted by Samantha Rich, and let me tell you folks, she is a rockstar! I have never had such a seamless working experience with any other industry professional in my life! Samantha is extremely organized, trustworthy, professional and efficient. I could not have asked for a better recruiting experience! The entire process of being reached out to by Samantha to me being placed took less than 6 weeks. All of the folks I came into contact with at Betts Recruiting were absolutely fantastic to work with. They all helped me out in numerous ways along my journey to finding a career. They constantly kept me on my toes with new submissions, and always took the time to thoroughly prep me for my interviews so that I was set up for success in every possible way. As an added touch, I even got a personal message from their CEO and Founder saying congrats after I got placed. It added a wonderful personal touch to the process, and made me feel very valued and appreciated. Betts Recruiting is the way to go! And Samantha Rich is one of their best! After forwarding my information, based on information found on their site, I received a generic email from someone name "Lindsey" saying they didn't have anything that fit my qualifications. Found it a bit hard to believe considering the company advertises they fill CSM positions and I have direct experience in this field. Company seems a bit robotic and misleading. However, Lindsey did include a list of 4 sites/companies that recruited for jobs that I DO NOT qualify for. (I know it was a generic email because I received the same email 1hr later ;-).. never had the chance to speak with anyone from the company because the phone number led no where. Based on this experience alone I'd have to say "No" to working with this company. Would have rather ben told "we are busy and will reach out later". read more

My experience with Betts was fantastic! I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay Irwin, their rockstar recruiter. Lindsay is consummate professional who truly loves her job. No shock that she's really great at it too. She asked all the right questions and helped guide me through the job search process with ease. Nothing felt forced and I could tell she had my best interests at heart. We started off with over a handful of positions at a variety of companies. After we discussed the positive and negative aspects of each, we settled on three positions. The entire process took a little over two weeks. Lindsay scheduled the interviews and we met before each to gameplan. After each interview, we circled back up via a phone call and discussed how I felt. This was the case throughout the process, from the initial phone screens to the in person interviews. Thanks to Lindsay I accepted the perfect position. It was the best decision for my current career path and I couldn't be happier. From my initial call to the post offer victory drinks, Betts was great and so was Lindsay! read more

Betts Recruiting is overall the best tech recruiting in NYC. I worked with Arleigh Lane, who was hands down the best recruiter I have ever worked with. I decided to move to New York from California, and she was able to accommodate interviews across coasts, and even went through the effort prior to my move to set me up with companies that had offices located in California. It was great to not need to fly out for interviews, and made my transition to New York so easy. I can't tell you how great it's been to work with Lauren B. at Betts! She is truly consultative in the jobs she presents to you and could not be more helpful in walking you through the interview process (interview prep, debriefing afterwards). He always followed up in a timely manner and was able to provide insight into the hiring process and feedback from the company, making sure I was never left in the dark. I worked with Lindsay Irwin at Betts Recruiting for a Client she was representing for a leadership opening. Lindsay has been the best recruiter I have ever worked with hands down. Although her ultimate obligation was to her Client, the responsiveness, consistent coaching and feedback, and diligence blew away my highest expectations. She really took the time to get to know me and made sure that the options she was presenting to me were the right fit. Of course this is a pretty rare experience to have when dealing with a recruiter. Interviewing can be intimidating and a little challenging when you haven't done it in a while.
