By far, the best temp agency I have dealt with. I showed up one day for a project they were doing an open call to staff for. I was not in a good financial place and felt like I could get dismissed for being overqualified or slammed because I didn't formally make an appointment but they did goy me on board very quickly in the long term temporary assignment I'm still on now. My interactions with staff have always been professional and Jennifer herself has always made me feel like she had my back and supported me, something very people have done in my professional life. While there have been situations they can't control that have popped up in my assignment, Percy and other staff members have made me feel like they cared and took what I said seriously. They've also never been flaky on pay and made sure their workers get paid on time. I told them about a pending wage theft case for a substantial sum that I'm still dealing with and they have never, ever expected me to work for "maybe" money or put me off on that front. But what really makes them above and beyond is the fact that they sent me a New Year's gift card that I wasn't even expecting to thank me for my service. Many employers and contractors I worked with didn't do that. They are the only temp agency I've dealt who ever did that so if I knew someone who needed temps or someone who needed a job they had to fill, I'd refer them here in a heartbeat. read more

I was excited about the opportunity to work with Jennifer temps, however, the experience turned into a nightmare. I was being assisted by a Gary Smith and needless to say he was the rudest person I have ever spoken to on the phone. He was very unprofessional and yelled on the phone, and spoke over me, instead of properly discussing how the agency assisted people in finding jobs, he was very disrespectful, kept shouting, and had the audacity to hang up on me without even hearing me out properly. I should have read the reviews before even visiting the office but I was referred by a friend and I spoke with Jennifer personally and set a appointment. When I arrived to the office I was told Jennifer was not in and the receptionist said something about Jennifer answering the phone herself. Who makes appointments and don't show up for them! But as one of the reviews mentioned this agency is for the experienced job seeker. After the receptionist reviewed my resume and another agency employee, I was told I have too much experience and they are not able to help me. Bottom line, I went to every agency in town and Jennifer was the one who put me to work right away with decent pay. Other agencies like Atrium had work, but the jobs only offered $10-11/hr and you can't live off of that! I'm extremely satisfied with my job and I am glad I came across Jennifer and Gary! read more

Jennifer Temps is not the right place for the average job seeker to turn to. Its not for the experienced job seeker either. There IS a certain clientele that this place favors. It works like this - employers get tax breaks and/or financial incentives for hiring people belonging to certain groups, for instance, the disabled, young adults from welfare households, veterans, etc. If you find yourself in one of these groups, take a chance and contact Jennifer Temps. They might be able to hook you up with something. And if its been your dream to answer phones or do filing at the department of education - on a low paying, no benefits, temporary basis - then Jennifer might be able to hook you up with that. They claim to be one of the biggest suppliers of temp workers to our city's offices. FYI - They don't accept any walk-ins. Jennifer Temps is fantastic!! As a recent grad from college , I was very fortunate to get into contact with Gary who helped place me at a job in an organization with a lovely group of people. Jennifer Temps is a great company. They were always communicative about their health benefits and provided you with all the forms for direct deposit right after you registered with them. Their time sheet system is great and everything can be done electronically. Once you send your time sheet to them, they are quick to let you know that they have accounted for the week's pay. Tiny little agency, i only saw 3 people - the pres, secretary, & "accounting". the client they sent me to had hired me as a temp paralegal but was basically just a file clerk. jennifer's the pres & relatively pleasant given the time of day, but daphne who was "accounting" was always in a bad mood & lousy with getting checks to you once you left. Another temp went thru hell waiting for her check cuz her direct deposit didn't work the 1st & 2nd times. read more
