With only a mere five minutes each respectively to meet with three recruiters to complete registration paperwork of two forms of identification, and a two hour eternal ordeal to take a computerized skills exam powered by Prove It. It was a very impersonal interview meeting. I arrived at 11:30am and did not depart until 1pm because of this stupid long haul exam. The skills exam room of the computer work stations is a confined space with very minimal air circulation which restricts my best ability to rate well. Prove It skills test consist of MS Word 2007, Excel 2007 and typing. Note: Entrance is on 41st Street, despite of the address states 295 Madison Avenue and Park.

She's the person who I saw on my LinkedIn feed yesterday and I had already taken the initiative to send her an introductory email last night. In hindsight, seeing the wonderful reviews about Gerry, I wish that I had spoken with her instead of the insolent woman-child who answered my call. I informed the person of my very unique situation being new to DC and she immediately began interrupting me in mid-sentence. I guess she assumed that what I had said was more than enough for her to hear. Eventually, when I was able to get a word in edgewise, I told her that the interruptions were a COMPLETE turnoff. I also informed her that 40 hours is actually considered the maximum amount of full-time hours and anything over that was considered overtime. I don't understand how this individual in employed with a staffing agency and doesn't understand that, under the Affordable Care Act, 32 hours per week is considered full-time. Of course, she wouldn't let me continue the sentence to explain that much to her. And what was her excuse? "Well, I have another call coming in 20 seconds so I was trying to rush this conversation along..." WHO SAYS THAT TO A PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE?!?! If this is the first point of contact for anyone who calls your office, she is doing a major disservice to your company. How many times do you need to look at me to perform invisible biased? This means judging me by my looks, height, weight, ethnicity, and whether i am perky enough to send out, etc. It goes on and on. Here is the thing, if they want to collect resumes to sell them to third parties for $$ (allegedly) they should say so. Its so pathetic, unproductive, and just an insult to constantly waste my time and yours to provide false hope. This place is so packed and busy because they are so skilled at creating this illusion they are in high demand with tons of jobs, as if they are placing jobs for everyone in all of NYC and some parts of NJ. That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. They are actors getting a paycheck to appear as busy bodies. Sign me up. I wanna get a paycheck and do nothing all day.
