If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Poor communication: I set an reservation on a Tuesday for a grooming appointment on a Saturday. I show up on Saturday and they say they never accepted my reservation. How am I supposed to know if they don't call or email me? Used Puppy Pantry at a friend's recommendation. Also out of desperation due to my other spot cancelling on me. Seemed friendly and accomidting on the phone. Cute little shopping area with lots of unique treats. Left my puppies for three nights. Was picking up at 8am with a bath, nails trimmed and items "washed". Showed up at 9:30. Nobody was around. Finally someone came out with earbuds in and had no clue we were picking up. I was given back one bed soaked. I was told water was spilled on it and the dryer was broken. This was a vinyl pad for xl dogs. It was dripping wet and smelled like urine. It was sort of shoved in a trash bag. My other bed was no place to be found along with a toy and blanket. My puppies weren't ready. Bathed or nails cut. The girl told me she had no idea I was coming and nobody was around and she clearly had no idea what was going on at all. After waiting, my second bed was given back to me soaked in pee and poop in a trash bag. "Sorry it wasn't washed yet. Didn't know you were coming." Later my blanket was found soaked from sitting wet in the washer. Dogs finally brought out with a sorry. I filled out all the paper work with a detailed list of my items and time of pick up when I dropped them off. I've never had such awful service or just lack of care. Terribly mismanaged place. I would not leave your dogs here. read more

Took my dogs to use the self service bath... what s mess ! Big clumps of dig hair every where even in the towels they give you to use... I could not even dry my dogs with the dryer because dog hair was flying all over. Very dirty. I told the girl she should make sure that room is clean after each dog. I will never go back again!! The groomer I normally go to lives past Atlanta and it is a very far drive out so when I found The Puppy Pantry, I was really excited. When we arrived at the shop, the groomer chatted with me for a bit about my dog's haircut. I left and came back about 2 hours later and my dog looked pretty good. She had a bow tied at the top of her head, it was cute but once I took the bow out, her hair looked a little funny since it was a bit long. Her dew claws were not trimmed. They probably forgot since she has long hair and its hard to see... I would think they would've noticed when trimming her other nails. Her eyes were really red as well ( prob from the shampoo, etc.) Overall, I gave this place three stars b/c of proximity, time and staff friendliness. It's a very cute little boutique. The only disappointment were my dog's untrimmed/uncut dew claws and the long hair at the top of her head. They also have a self-wash for dogs which is nice. I will probably use The Puppy Pantry again in the future. But as for now, I will keep searching for another groomer. read more

I stopped by here really by fluke- didn't know they were here so checked it out for some specialty items- a new sweater, collar etc. for my spoiled pup. Pretty good selection and got me a sweater for her that she loves, a bit pricey but she likes it and Im pleased as well. Didn't really use the staff other than check out as they did ask if they could help and I opted for the "I'm just looking around" shopper. I have another location I faithfully use for grooming and for overnight stays so can't comment on grooming or other but when I'm out that way and want some treats for my pup, I'll stop by again and see what they have. I have taken my little poodle mix here for grooming several times now, and he always looks great. Granted, we don't get anything special done to his hair but he looks and smells wonderful when I pick him up. Five stars for grooming. They also sell really cute dog cookies that I always get him as a treat after, and he likes those as well. They also make a cute little gift for a fellow dog parent! I docked one star because sometimes it is really hard to find someone to help you. I think they often only have one person manning the front, and if that person is in the back for whatever reason they may not hear you come in. I had to go in search of someone to get my dog for me last time, and today waited for about 5 minutes before someone came out to help me. Not the end of the world, but a little frustrating when you're in a hurry. read more

I am so disappointed I was told a couple of days ago that the groomer quit and cannot see my dog so the girl over the phone reschedule with a different location that I am ok with. I show up today over there after leaving my job to be able to make this work and the girls over there tell me she is not on the schedule. I am super upset. Called the Buford location and the girl did not put her on the schedule. The employees at Flowery branch location were eating right in front of me and I feel like I was not important to them. We stopped by earlier this week to make a reservation for our dog while we are on vacation. We noted on the door that it said Sunday hours start at noon. We told the girl we would need to drop off Saturday night because we were leaving early Sunday morning. She quickly told us that they actually open at 7 am on Sunday mornings for boarding. Guess what? We went to drop our dog off this morning at 8am on the way to FL and no one was there. I have been calling them all morning. I left multiple voicemails with no response. It is now 11am and we are at home waiting to see if they open or return our calls. We had dinner reservations with friends tonight in Destin at 5pm. We have missed almost an entire day because of this. This is beyond frustrating and very unprofessional. ------- Update - staff arrived at 11:30. They said the employee that checked us in did not write down that we would be there early in the morning so no one came in. Apparently there were workers there but no one answered the door or phone for us. The manager told us that the owner would call us asap. It's now Friday morning and no one has contacted us yet. 5 days later..? They also informed us the puppy cams weren't working. This was one of the main reasons we were using this facility since we have a puppy and a 6 year old child that asks to see him constantly. Again, it's Friday and they still aren't working. An employee did give us the login for the security cameras but it's not as good. We looked and our 20 lb terrier is in with the "big dogs" - pit bulls, etc. I will never buy another item from this place. I cannot wait to pick up my dog. read more

Just moved to the area and was having a hard time finding Orijen dog food. Luckily, I discovered this place. It is beautiful!! I called over the phone and was helped by an extremely nice guy who had the food waiting for me by the time I got there. The prices aren't bad at all. i left my two dogs at the puppy pantry Hamilton mill for 5 days during memorial day weekend .. after a received them back i discovered that one of them has a big injury in his knee and ear .. the second one has his tail broken !! .. and both of them got ticks !!! - i took them both to banfield clinic second day where they costs me hundreds of dollars to diagnose and recover .. i called them to complain and they said they will ask the owner about what to do and come back .. they came back and said we can't help you and you will not be able to prove that happen due to us .. long story short .. Our dogs were not taken care of at all and both dogs received awful cuts that were not anywhere near fitting for their breeds. Our blind dog came home barely able to walk leading us to think she was dropped or fell off the table. Our vet suspected she had some sort of fall while in the groomer's care. Our other dog clearly seems to be traumatized from some sort of event, leading to her having four indoor accidents within a single day, keeping in mind this dog is fully potty trained. Our family loves the Puppy Pantry. We've been buying our dog food here since the month they opened. They offer good quality food, treats, and toys for pets, not the food made with grains and filler, or the toys that fall apart like what you get at the typical grocery store. The staff is always friendly and eager to help, and they have both grooming services and a 'do-it-yourself' pet washing station. They're very conviently located at the Hamilton Mill exit off of 85 and are open late enough that you can buy your items after work on a weekday (unlike most specialty stores!). We recommend the Puppy Pantry to everyone who's nearby, as we visit twice a month for the items our dogs need. read more

This place used to be OK. They now are terrible. We dropped off for 1 day and have been asking for 6 months about their cameras (one of the main reasons we used to use them). We were told it should be up soon. We have been told for 6 months the cameras are close. Well they still don't work. We left our dog for extra day care and we show up and there are 0 dogs in the daycare and ours is in his crate. I asked why he was not out and they said they switch them out because sometimes they don't get along. Well shouldn't there be some dogs out? When we dropped ours off it was the loudest I'd ever heard a boarding place and asked if the dogs were ok and was told it's dogs natural reaction to all be barking. Needless to say I would highly recommend not using this place. We will not be ever again. read more

We love the puppy pantry!!!! We have a Goldendoodle named Disney who is our world and he receives amazing attention and care here. We take him here for doggy daycare and for boarding. I can go to work or out of town and not worry about him. When we pick him up he is always so happy. The staff is so friendly and Disney loves them all especially Lauren. Love the Hamilton mill dog groomer I've been going to her for all six years she's been there. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else.

The worst place ever to board your dog. Spent 175$ to board my dog. Upon pickup, my dog did not look well, had poop all on his feet, ears, body. Came home and he has diarrhea past 2 days since pickup, urine burns on all 4 of his paws, his testicles has a rash. I've seen better care at the Animal Shelter. For a place that looks sophisticated and appear to love pets. They are all show. My dog shows signs and symptoms of neglect. Contacted them and asked for refund. They were very unprofessional when they was confronted by the neglect on the diarrhea and urine burns on my dogs. They denied the neglect of my dog told me, " to report them then ", hung up on me, laughter while addressing the issues. A place that doesn't care about being report, really doesn't care about your pet. If you don't see your pet as a family member. Then this place is perfect for you. I love my dog and i will never use them again. And they will be reported to be investigated. read more

I've been a client of this place for over two years since my golden doodle was a puppy. We went in for a regular grooming with Cassie , but Cassie left. The new groomer said that they would not be increasing prices, because they wanted their clientele to stay with the Puppy Pantry and not leave. When I tried to book an appointment online, no one was answering the emails or the appointment bookings/request. I re-emailed and called several times and the phone lines would either not pick up or they would be disconnected. I went in a couple weeks ago just to see if they were still in business, and the staff was just perplexed about the phone lines and email not answering. I booked an appointment with the new groomer. I took my golden doodle in today to be groomed over a month out of date, so I knew he had to be shaved down from being matted. The groomer ended up charging me well over the original price, plus $40 extra for a dematting. He now looks like a standard poodle with a bad bad haircut and he was shaved, never dematted! I have now talked to three other groomers, and they said I was completely ripped off and it was a terrible haircut. One groomer went so much as to book me a future appointment, even though she is not taking new clients right now. I would not go back to the Puppy Pantry ever again. Loved this place every month for the last year, then today after the service was performed we find out that the groomer that our dog loved and trusted no longer works there. Then the new groomer who had a bit of an attitude then told us that the price would go up by 70% starting with the service just performed and that the previous groomer had not been charging us enough, every month, for the past year. Our dog seemed stressed, the new staff was rude, the price nearly doubled AFTER the service was performed and the service was not nearly as good as the previous groomer that they had.. I have been bringing my pup here for about a year. The groomer I use always works pt with a vet so I feel safe leaving my pampered pooch in her hands. I prefer Sunday AM appointments so I don't have to deal with the workers/owner (?) There is a gentleman that works there and he is always helpful and very pleasant but then there is this lady who I believe is an owner...and I always get stuck with her ringing up my items or helping me. I walked into the store and the two ladies at the counter just stared at me, no smile, hello, nothing. I walked around for a few looking at the variety of items they have and not once was I acknowledge. My beautiful golden doodle got BUTCHERED at the groomer. We went several times, had a great groomer who did exactly what we asked. Today had a terrible groomer who did OPPOSITE of what we asked and then said it was our fault! Owner didn't talk to me but said they would comp it but I would never be able to bring the dog back...LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT!!! Not that I would bring her back but still, it is the principle!! Owner was supposed to call me and did not. When I opened the door of the store, a dog ran out who had been in the store wandering without a leash. Turned out it was my dog but I did not recognize her!!!!!!! Just left to run free in the store/out the door!!!! Irresponsible and absolutely terrible service and quality!! DO NOT GO IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG! This is the only review I have ever written publicly if that tells you how upset I am and I will continue to warn everyone in any way that I can. I have driven past this store more times than I could count, but after a bad experience left me looking for a new place to buy dog food, I finally stopped in and I Am Sold! The boutique smelled clean and looked very neat compared to where I used to shop. I was greeted right away and they carried all of my dogs' food (I have three dogs on different diets) which is super convenient. They are so much closer to home and I will definitely be back soon! I really appreciate the awards program they offered as I tend to spend a lot on dog food buying for three dogs. Got my dog groomed and he can back looking fine but is now in a state of depression. The shampoo seemed to irritate his skin so we gave him another bath to get rid of it but my dog refused to move from his bed and is not active like he was before. I have a 6-year-old rough-coated Jack Russell terrier and I only get him groomed twice a year. It is for this reason that it's hard to keep a good groomer. We've had some ladies who are competent but not very friendly and some who were sweet but didn't do such a good job. I discovered Puppy Pantry and decided to give them a try because they're convenient to where I live. I called and made an appointment for early in the morning. My dog, being a terrier, is a bit high strung and he does better when his surroundings aren't chaotic. I spoke with Amanda who gave me a quote. We arrived a few minutes early but she let us come in. Everyone was polite and helpful. I'm not sure it was Amanda who did the grooming but she did a good job. My instructions were followed and the final price didn't exceed the quoted price.
