Our 2 year old welsh terrier, Eleanor is a little high maintenance and it's tough for us to find places to keep her. We first started using Stephanie when we'd go out of town for the weekend instead of leaving our girl at a kennel. Steph hangs out with Eleanor around the house, plays with her, gives her treats, sends us pictures and videos and even lets her sleep in the bed! When we found out we had to move overseas and couldn't bring Eleanor over right away, she stayed with Stephanie for over a month. We love our girl so much and it would have been terrible to leave her at a kennel. Instead, we slept good knowing that she was with Stephanie. My fiance says I'm "obsessed with Eleanor's care" and he's probably right. I wouldn't leave her with anyone else in the world for such a long period of time. Stephanie is amazing!

Dunwoody Pet Sitters knows our dog is frail and nervous- though they charge top dollar, we had hired them a few times to stay in our home, so they knew our dog's limitations. (Though Dunwoody Pet Sitters charges top dollar, we booked with them because we wanted our toy dog to stay in her home but we never felt the service was ideal; for example, a quilt was stained, towels dyed, etc. ) Fall 2013, we booked a two week trip with the mother, from DPS, a mother daughter business. The arrangement was the same as always, that she or her daughter would stay in our home. We made this booking 6 weeks before we left , and the mother understood & she agreed. A few weeks prior to our departure, we confirmed with her by phone that she was to stay in our home, with our dog . However the week of our trip- after air fare & hotels had been paid, this woman informed us they planned to change our understanding & board our 16 year old 4 pound dog in their home. They have animals, and they board other animals. Our old dog would have been VERY stressed and/or injured, since she can hardly walk!! Every animal lover can relate - We have responsibilities to our pets; they are helpless - especially as they age. We tried reasoning with the woman but she exhibited no sense of responsibility. She was unsympathetic. Actually cold. Our impression was that she did not care about the welfare of our old dog, nor did she care that she broke her word. After I cancelled , she even left an immature voice mail, indicating she had so many bookings she did not need our business . This woman needs to think about what it mans to keep her word.Thank God - we found someone a couple of days before we left for our trip. It was meant to be - the sitter was reliable; our pet was well cared for, and the sitter stayed in touch with us while we were away with informative texts. Furthermore, when we came home, we found our house in good shape, much more than we could say about Dunwoody pet Sitters. Do your research. You will find better services.

Their system is extremely friendly, you can request your visits online and even within a couple of hours, they can respond and visit/walk your pets. I found them on Yelp about 2 years ago. We travel a lot for work, and at the time we had an elderly Great Dane, who needed special attention and being a deaf and partially blind dog, it just added up to how careful you need to be with him. I was impressed how Lisa was able to connect with him. I could tell that he loved her, because even towards his last days, where he could barely walk he would get really excited to see her. Something that gives me extreme confidence in them, is they send a text message after every visit with pictures of your pets. Some of my best pictures of my dog came from Lisa. But going back to the text, she never waited for a situation to escalate to let me know about it, she preferred to get ahead of the curve and let me guide her on how to proceed. Remember my dog was old and due to age had a lot of health issues at that point. Now we have two Great Danes one is10 months old and a recently rescued one of 7 months old, that she will be taking care for, even when the youngest one is very scarish, as he's a rescue, I know she will do a magnificent job taking care of my babies. From the first time she came by for a consultation it was clear not only did she have a passion for animals, but she understood how stressful leaving our animals is. Throughout our trip Marilyn kept us updated with texts and photos of our animals, and it really put our minds at ease.
