I have since spent thousands of dollars on veterinary care, and my dog's quality of life has been permanently altered. To this day, I have not received a clear or consistent explanation. I was told my dog got out, was missing for several hours, and later was found. I was not aware he was even injured until after he was picked up by my brother the next day when my brother noticed he was hurt. Even if that account were accurate, he didn't take any accountability for the fact that my dog's back legs are paralyzed and a clear story hasn't been given. He claims he was standing outside while my dog was chewing the fence to escape but if that's the case why continue to let him chew it? Nothing is making sense and when I asked him about it he got defensive. All I wanted was answers. Three weeks later, my dog is still suffering. He lives in constant pain, cannot walk without assistance, and is largely confined to bed rest. When I contacted this man seeking clarity, I was met with anger and defensiveness rather than accountability or concern. When we got back in town, we unfortunately had to make an unplanned stop on our way home which caused us to postpone Ziggy's pick up until the next morning. Thank goodness it was no problem for Kyss though - she was way cool about it and easily made the adjustment. Our shop doors are always open and we hear dogs being screamed at all day. I have called to notify management a few times and nothing changes. I decided to write this review because on Friday myself and another co-worker actually witnessed a young man working to put dogs inside the facility and he was dragging one of them by it's leash allowing the dog to slide on its backside behind him. They hire younger people who do not seem like they are enjoying working with animals. I have several customers who take their dogs to Petsuites and it is completely disturbing to know how they are being treated. I would never bring any of my dogs to this place and from now on I will advise people not to. If this were an isolated incident it would be one thing but it is ongoing and constant and very sad. Anyone working with children or animals should be thoroughly screened and trained without exception. Caring for pets is just as huge of a responsibility as caring for children.
