we had a family emergency and needed to leave with a day notice. they were very fast to respond and very accommodating. when we showed up they were quick to take our dog to the back. they sent an email halfway through her stay updating us on her, letting us know she was happy and having a good time. when we showed up to pick her up she seemed a little out of it, not really acknowledging us when she usually gets super excited. the first thing we noticed was her right eye. it was bloody and almost looked infected, there was yellow pus coming out of her eye. we asked the young girl at the desk what happened and she had no idea. she went to the back to ask someone else what happened and when she came back all she said was "we had a lot of big dogs here today, they were all playing together" we never selected anything involving group play, she is a very friendly dog but as a business you should think about the liability. we never gave any type of permission for group play and to find out the dogs were roughhousing...not a good look. we will not be coming back here and the vet bills WILL be coming to them. (pictures were taken after cleaning up her eye) UPDATE: Terissa called and gave us a more detailed explanation of Harleys stay there. she explained that they have turf in the back and something could've gotten in her eye, that could be the reason for her eye being irritated. she offered to cover vet bills and Harleys stay there. she was definitely very apologetic and we really appreciate her customer service. that is how you do business. thank you Terissa! read more

I am disappointed at the negligence of these groomers. My fiancé brought our dogs for a full grooming service. Australian shepherds. You could clearly tell that 95% of their body had never been shaved before and it was their ORIGINAL silky/luscious coat. We got them back and their whole BODY was trimmed down with a shaver. I guess he saw another dog being groomed and apparently said that would like nice on our dogs. The groomers neglected to mention the risks of trimming down a long double coated dog to him. If this is your profession, isn't it your job to advise the customers of the risks of such things? My silky dogs' coats are now permanently ruined. They should have been given an undercoat rake and an outline trim, like they've always gotten from other groomers. All I ask is that you please educate your groomers to advise customers, as they are supposed to be the professionals/experts. Brittany, I appreciate the apology, thank you. UPDATE: after leaving a professional and appropriate "critical review" for the company, I was left with a childish reaction from the owner. I accepted the apology from Brittany, but poor Joel is upset and said that I am "not welcomed back". Silly goose, I wasn't planning on coming back. Not everyone can take critical feedback, but it's the only way to grow and be better. Brittany - I genuinely appreciate you acting much more professionally than Joel did. Great groomer in Suwanee. Have to call so many times to get through to someone and grooming is always booked out, but that shows how popular they are. We moved to Dunwoody area, but we still make the drive out there. I wasn't able to find a good place like PawPlex especially for the price they charge. So many groomers have messed up our little schnauzer, but PawPlex always does a great job. And they make sure they understand exactly how we want the cut. read more

We take our mini poodle once a month for full grooming $55.00 and a toy poodle every couple of months and they just love it. Everybody is amazing with dogs and our dogs always smell so good when they come home. The cost of grooming is about the average as we did try out couple of other places before. They used to get bandannas for every visit at first but not anymore. read more

I bring my dog Koda to the PawPlex 2-3 times a week for daycare to give her some exercise and she loves it. She is always very tired and never wanting to leave. The staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy their work. The only thing I wish they had was more pictures of the dogs. They have an instagram and facebook but rarely post. We take our dog to The PawPlex three times a week for daycare. Overall, it's a good place. The staff are friendly. The shop is located in a strip mall, close to Suwanee Town Center and there is ample parking. Most of the time, the check in/ out area is clean. There have been afternoons when I've picked up my dog and it smelled like wet dog or there were heaps of fur on the carpet at the door. It is what it is though--they have grooming and other services available, after all. When my fiancé inquired about all of the scratches my dog was coming home with, the staff stated it was likely due to my dog trying to escape the kennel during lunch time. I wish The PawPlex had web cameras for their customers to check, like some other doggie daycare shops. Some of us would love to see how our fur babies are doing while we are away at work. Wishful thinking- perhaps one day they will consider! read more

Very disappointed... We have depended on PawPlex several times over the last few years. Our dog doesn't like to be crated , so we like the extra freedom he has at PawPlex. The only drawback is that it smells like wet dogs when you walk in. Yesterday, we picked up our small dog and there must have been lots of dogs still waiting for their owners too because we could hear the barking. Our dog and his blanket smelled sooo bad !! They only open from 3-5 on Sundays for pickups, but we assume someone feeds and lets the dogs out Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Apparently not!! Although it was raining, we rode home with windows partially open because the stench was so bad! We were told he just had an accident and they didn't have time to clean it upHe's a small dog, so no way could he pee on his blanket one time and it smell like that . Update!! The owner, Joel, contacted us immediately and rectified the poor service by refunding our costs and by promising this would not happen in the future. read more

Review for the boarding: Price is better than anywhere else I could find AND the dogs are not kenneled for the whole time. At least I would like to believe they did not keep my dog, Caesar in a kennel for the whole time. When I picked him up, he was ecstatic to see me but was not crazy with energy meaning he had some level of activity for the week. I've placed him in a kennel service before for 4 days and paid for ONLY the kennel. When we got home he was crazy for about 30 minutes so I needed to find a place where he could interact with people and other dogs while paying a reasonable price. Caesar does have some scabs around his elbows but that is not a huge issue. I'm guessing it's from the 7PM-7AM overnight stay in the kennel. He seemed happy when I picked him up and he's happy to be back home. I left him for 9 days and will definitely come back in the future when needed. My wife and I have been taking our lab pup (Peyton) to Pawplex for daycare since he was just a few months old. He is now just over 1 year old. Every time i pull up to the front door to drop him off his tail starts wagging and he practically darts inside, so they must be doing something right lol. He must play his heart out because he goes down for a long nap as soon as we get home. The staff is very friendly and we just recently boarded him overnight for the first time ever. We were worried about how he would react being away from us overnight for the first time, but when I came to pick him up the next day it seemed like he didn't want to leave. Guess he was having too good of a time with all his friends. I would highly recommend PawPlex to anyone looking for a daycare service (full or half day) or needing to board their pup overnight. Let me just start by saying I have a labradoodle and goldendoodle, both very high maintenance when it comes to grooming. I have been to countless groomers in the area and I can honestly say Teresa is hands down THE BEST in the area! I have taken my dog Clover here for both grooming and boarding. For grooming he just got his nails cut but he has always has a great time. He totally freaks out when I try to do it but apparently he behaves for the groomers. Must be their special skills! For boarding they let me take a tour of the facilities first which was great. Each animal has a crate and for the majority of the day is let outside to play with all the other dogs. I was able to bring both wet and dry food since they have a freezer. I bought the 20 day package for $440 which comes out to $22/day, the cheapest that I have ever seen anywhere! They followed all the instructions I gave them and Clover seemed very happy after I picked him up from a 5 day stay. The only complaint I have is he seemed to be limping a little and one of his ears was slightly infected. I will include instructions next time about cleaning his ears so that shouldn't be a problem. Getting to the actual location you have to take a u-turn which is a little annoying but it's not a super busy road so it's not a big deal. There's always plenty of parking in front as well. read more

We take our minature poodle to Paw Plex to be groomed and she loves it there. Paw Plex also offers day care and boarding. I have never used them for either of those services but I did tour the facility and it was very clean and the sweet doggies I encountered seemed to be having a great stay. Groomers here are amazing. We take our pups just to get their nails done. You can do just walk ins for nails. The girls are always so patient and help. They are also gentle with our babies. We have one pup that will pull her legs away but the girls don't get frustrated and sometimes another girl will help! I would definitely recommend them! read more

Went in for our first experience, our appointment was at 10 and I was told I needed to leave her there for 3-4 hours(never told me this before my appointment), as I stated I was not comfortable I got attitude from Teresa saying "most people are comfortable dropping their dogs off" well I'm not most people. Also the poor little girl with the bubbly personality at the front, you don't have to work there and be treated like scum in front of customers by your own manager Teresa. They got a new phone system which as any of us could imagine tackling the first time isn't easy, her boss had no issue yelling at her for any minor mistake in front of me. Teresa if you are that miserable and don't like your job don't do it.. no one is forcing you. Worst manager I have ever witnessed in my life. Cannot imagine the treatment of the animals if that is how she treats a human being who can actually speak for themselves. read more

Took my shihtzu here once before and liked this place. Took him back this past Saturday, 05/18/13 and the groomer stuck my dog in the eye and they didn't say a thing! My dog kept whining and the next day his eye was swollen shut. The vet confirmed a laceration as deep and wide as a pencil eraser and the dog is now recovering from a corneal ulcer! Not only cruel but extremely irresponsible and unprofessional-will NOT trust with my dog ever again. read more

I took my little guy, Max, here for hos most recent grooming & the Paw Plex did a really lovely job! They're just minutes away from my front door - such a great location! And everyone I came in contact with was extremely nice & knowledgeable; calling my little Maxie a "sweetie" and paying him all kinds of attention, even just for the few minutes after his hair 'do was complete, but before I'd arrived to pick him up. The listened to my requests & fluffed him up so preciously! Not to mention that his white fur coat was as white as I'd ever seen it - practically glowing :-) It was a bit more expensive than other places we've previously been & they asked about adding a tip, before I had the opportunity to write one in & sign my receipt, a little tacky.
